PDCC #92 Coral, Petal Pink, Antiqe Gold
This week's Play Date Cafe Challenge is definitely a color scheme I would NEVER in a million years have been put together! Coral, petal pink and antique gold. But I have to say, they truly inspired me and I love them!
I love my Pocket Silhouettes set from Stampin' Up! and I haven't used it in a while, so I immediately knew that I wanted to use that set.
I also knew that my gold elastic cord and gold embossing powder would play a big part. I rooted around in my MILLIONS of pieces of designer series paper to find one that looked gold-ish-- and literally struck gold! ;D
I hope you can play along with this challenge, and I hope you like my final product! Thanks for dropping by--happy stamping!

Make My Monday! #8
Oookay...it's not Monday. It's Saturday! ;D BUT, it's been a L O N G week, so I'm just getting around to blogging. :)
Here's my submission for the Make My Monday #8 challenge--Vintage card using lace and pearls. I wanted to wrap up my Christmas in July with this awesome challenge. I also wanted to make my own "vintage" paper, so I spritzed it with gold glimmer mist...love it!
I also wanted to stand out from other submissions...did I do it?! These colors are totally different to a usual summery card.
Also linking to Inspire Me Friday. :) I hope this card inspires you! Hopefully you have a good time creating today--happy crafting! See you again soon!
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
Okay, so here it is: I WILL NO LONGER BE SHARING MY DIGITAL ART ON THIS BLOG. Is that harsh? Maybe you may think it is, BUT do NOT despair!!! I'm just MOVING my digital art to another blog that I write: My Uni-"Verse". Since most of the digital art I make is either of poetry, scripture verses or inspirational quotes, and also since this blog was slowly scrapping it's feet down the blogging freeway, it made more sense! Soooo, those of you who follow me for digital printables, you can find them here! Check back to it frequently--I love digital art right now! Happy blogging! :)

Make My Monday!
Okay, so it's Thursday...but I just discovered this awesome online challenge!!! (Details here)
So, the challenge for this week's Make My Monday challenge is to make a card that is shabby chic with something torn or crumpled. I have to say, this was hard for me. Not the torn or crumpled part, just the shabby chic part. I am not very good at that type of design, but I think I pulled it off...did I?! Here's my submission:
The torn or crumpled part are the layered papers to the left and the crumpled rosette...I know it doesn't look crumpled, but I did crumple it! :P Thanks for taking a look--I hope you're inspired to design something for an online challenge today! Happy designing!!!!!

Happy Birthday Banner
Well, it's that time of year. Church camp! My mother is helping with our young women church camp this year, and she had to be there yesterday until Saturday. And today is her birthday! She has to spend it in awful hot and sticky weather, and I KNOW she will not tell anyone. So, what did I do?! Well, one of my sisters came over (she's going to camp) and we made this lovely birthday banner to hang on her bunk! It turned out quite well, actually! I think that I'll be making one for personal use ;D. Anyway, it was quite simple, really! I just cut pennant shapes out of patterned paper, adhered scallop circles in a coordinating paper to the top middle, and finally added chipboard letters! I secured the pennants with pieces of raffia to go with the shabby chic look of the whole thing. I hope you like it--thanks for stopping by! Happy crafting!!!!!
LIM #24 Circles
This is my submission for the Less is More #24 challenge--Circles! I am trying to utilize all of the stamps that I have yet to use, and these two stamps are two such. One is a solid circle, the other is the "You're Amazing" stamp. :) I wanted to make the colors fun and summery, so chartreuse, turquoise and red seemed appropriate. Also, I think I'm definitely falling in love with CAS style...
Thank you, Less is More! YOU'RE AMAZING!!!!! I hope that you can play along with us at the next challenge! Happy crafting!

DIY Glimmer Mist!!!!!
So, I am all about saving money. Well, and spending it to get the most out of it. ;D Anyway, when I saw this post on Shoregirl's blog, I knew I had to try it out! Make your own glimmer mist!!!!! One bottle of this stuff is $7 plus tax! My friend and I made THREE colors of glimmer mist for a total of $10.50, and we still have enough to make MORE when we run out of what we have made! Here is what you need and the cost:
2. Metallic acrylic paints. $1.47 each at WalMart.
(Metallic Peridot, Champagne & Metallic Ice Blue are what we bought)

And here is what you do: fill the spray bottles about 2/3 of the way full with water. Add the paint. Shake. Use! Yep--it IS that easy!
And here is what they look like when sprayed onto white paper flowers:

PDCC #90 Eggplant, fuschia, orangesicle
Hello, all! So, I posted about PDCC #89 earlier, and here is my submission for PDC #90 (ON TIME this time...). I had a blast with this color combo! The first thought was to do a birthday card, but when I got to looking at all my dry embossing folders and saw the spider web from SU!, I just knew this color combo screamed Halloween at me! So here is the Halloween card I came up with:
After I made that card, I found some paper elements that I had thrown aside and thought I'd never use. And they had the purples in them from this challenge! It was fate! I also found my crystal effects from SU! and felt I needed to use them. Here is the result:
I used the crystal effects on the butterfly and the little heart on the word love. It took a while for them to dry, but I think it was TOTALLY worth it! Oh, and I HAD to make the inside pretty, too! So here's the inside:

Less is More Week 23 One Layer With Legs!
Okay, here's a challenge that I'm actually on time for! Tomorrow, I'm sharing a beautiful card that I did not make in time...*sigh*. Oh, well! Here's the on I did make in time!
This is for the Less is More Week 23 challenge: a one layer card with something that has legs! I bought this snowman stamp set from a friend (it's Stampin' Up! and it's an exclusive hostess set called Snow Buddies...). I loved it because I LOVE snowmen!!! Here are the cards I made with them in honor of LIM #23 and Christmas in July! I got carried away...I made six cards. I loved the white on red, but I wanted to see what it would look like on white with more color. Also, I know the snowflake one doesn't have "legs," but I LOVE the color on white snowflake card the BEST!
Thanks for stopping by to take a look! I hope this inspires you to create something new from something you just purchased today! Happy CASEing! :)

MORE Christmas in July!
Ah, July. In Kansas. Yep...temperatures in the low 100s, humidity up to 100%, crazy dew points that literally drive you crazy...so I NEED Christmas in July! My basement is always cold, and this is where my entire crafting empire is also located! Here are my latest three Christmas in July cards. I stamped the sentiment in black and then dry embossed the card fronts. The top card is my FAVORITE--the reindeer is just so stinkin' cute! The middle card is so-so... The bottom card was a little experiment that I feel really turned out well! I stamped a red circle with chalk ink and then just used the chalk ink to create the leaves! It's so cute! Thanks for stopping by--I hope you take the time today to create a little holiday spirit in your home! Happy creating!
