Naughty or nice?

Well, which on are YOU?! I'm both...at different times. AND NO, not in a BAD way!!! Get your minds out of the gutter! ;D

Anyway, I have a really close stamping buddy/adopted sister who LOVED this sentiment when she saw it, and so I HAD to make a card for her with it. What is UP with me using the CAPS LOCK tonight?! I dunno...it's been a long day...hence the lateness of this post. *sigh*

ANYWHO...this card is for two challenges: Stamptacular Sunday Anything Christmas, and Top Tip Tuesday Touch of Color.

I DO have a tip for you tonight (not stupendously fabulous or anything, just something that's helped me out lately)~when you are going to tie ribbon or elastic cording around a panel of paper, tape it in the center to the back of your card panel first. Then it's WAY easier to tie it around and make it stay where you want it. :)

Okay, now onto the card~

Details~

What're your thoughts, feelings, and comments?! I thought that pink would be the PERFECT touch of color for this card--my stamping buddy is a VERY girly girl and I KNOW she'll love it...it's her Christmas card for this season. :)

I used lots of NEW things for this card--my new DCWV patterned paper, my NEW Core-dinations Pearly paper and my NEW baker's twine! :) LOVE IT!!! Hopefully you can see all the glitter, glitz, and shimmer in the pictures...

Once again, I want to remind you that if I get 100 followers by January 1, 2012, I will be giving away blog candy!!! :) Please follow me for a chance to win it! Happy stamping!

Feelin' Hot, Hot, Hot!

Yep, it's winter! So...why my title? Because over at Crafty Cardmakers, they're challenging us to use heat embossing on our card! :) They want us to put a little twist on it, though.

SO...here's my twist--when I want to heat emboss something in a specific ink color, this is what I do. I ink up my image with a Versamark pad and THEN ink it up carefully with my dye based ink. After I stamp the image, I cover it in clear embossing powder and heat emboss it. It works like a dream!

I used this technique with the heart on my card...I promise. The pictures do NOT do it justice...

I call it Heartfelt Thoughts~

Details~

What do you think? I made this card for a co-worker who recently found out that her husband has throat cancer. Just a few days before Thanksgiving. So, she needs some extra love--if you pray, please pray for her and her husband!

Thanks for joining me this evening--if you like my style, please follow me!!! I have an "old year's" resolution--if I get 100 followers by January 1, 2012, I will be giving away blog candy! :) Happy following--and happy stamping!!! :)

LIM Bling

Oh, my. BLING is a word that gets my heart pumping!!! So when I saw the Less is More challenge for this week was BLING, I almost had a heart attack! LOVE me some bling. And yet, the name of the challenge, Less is More, made me want to back down on the bling and just add enough, not too much.

This is what I came up with~

And details~

I think the little cluster of bling is absolutely the right amount. What do YOU think? Is less bling really more of a statement?! :)

Here on MY blog, I'm going for MORE. Here's the sitch: if I get 100 followers by January 1, 2012, I am giving away some blog candy!
Here's a sneak peek at SOME of it~

Is that enough incentive for ya?! :)

Hope you come and play along sometime at Less is More--it's so very fun! Merry stamping!!!

Final Week of MMM GDT...

***A LITTLE PICTURE HEAVY...JUST SAYIN'!***

It is with great joy that I post this--I'm so very excited that I was asked to be the Guest Deezine Team member for November! :) I've had enormous amounts of fun--thank you, ladies!!! :)

I'm excited about this week's challenge!!! Our monthly theme is Christmas, and this week we're asking you to join with us and make/decorate a Christmas box. :) Mine is homemade and vintage looking and I love the way it turned out...

I have made my box out of coasters. I decorated each one and then punched holes in the corners and added eyelets with my Crop-a-dile. I am going to use it to put a candle in and take to my sweet next door neighbor as a Christmas gift. :)

Here are the pictures of THE BOX (sides, details, etc.)~

Sorry for the poor photo quality--I tried to find good lighting to no avail! :( Thanks for coming and taking a look! I hope you play along with us at Make My Monday! Merry stamping!!! :)

"Owl" be thinking of you.... ;)

Good Saturday, gentle blogging friends! :) It's been a few days--I've been spending a lot of time with family and friends for the Thanksgiving holiday. I hope that your holiday was as wonderful as mine was!

By the way, if I get 100 followers by January 1, 2012, I will be having a huge goodie give away! I purchased some of the things I'll be giving away during the sales yesterday. Just saying... :)

Well, I have not been crafting for my challenges quite as much as I'd like, but I did manage to create something for the Wee Memories Woodland Creatures challenge AND using the colors from the current CR84FN color challenge! :)

I was commissioned to make a card for a friend of a friends birthday...did that make sense? I'll put it another way--a friend of mine has another (non-mutual) friend who is having a birthday soon. And she likes owls. And I have owl stamps and like to create cards. So, my friend asked me to make a card for her friend. Whew...

Anyway, it fits perfectly into this challenge--because owls are literally woodland creatures!!! And owls literally live in brown, tan, and green surroundings! ;D

Here is the card~

And the details~

Stamps are from Stampin' Up! and Bo Bunny, ink from SU!, paper from Basic Grey and American Crafts, punches by SU!, rhinestones from Basic Grey

What are your thoughts and feelings towards my creation? I am quite pleased with how it turned out! :) I am completely unsure as to WHY I am writing so politely and formally, but I have tried to rewrite this post to no avail....UGH! Happy birthday stamping! :)

POLKA!

Dots! ;D LOVE them. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!!! So when I saw that Nina's I{Heart} Ribbon challenge was about polka dot ribbon, I was ON that! :)

I recently purchased some Glubers and haven't really used them, so I decided to make some polka dotted ribbon flowers--so fun!!!

I was also inspired by the Play Date Cafe color challenge this week...
Maroon...Copper...Tumeric

Here's the inspiration photo~
GORGEOUS, am I right?!

Well, I made three flowers for one card, but they were just too much, so I ended up making three cards.

Here they are~

Isn't that a lovely little trio of cards?! :) I'm thinking they would make a darling gift...

Sympathy Sihouette

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!!! I'm so thankful for all of you who have stopped by today! :) Thank you to all my loyal followers!!! Not a follower yet? Haven't you heard?!

IF I get 100 followers
by Jan. 1, 2012
I will be giving
away BLOG CANDY!!!

Yep! I'm gonna be purchasing my blog candy this weekend on Small Business Saturday!!! :) PLEASE follow me for a chance to win it--I'm thinking it may go to quite a few of you...because I tend to get carried away. Loyal followers know what I'm sayin'. ;D

Now onto the true reason of my post--this week over at Less is More, our CAS challenge is to create something using a silhouette. I originally stamped my card thinking I'd use it as a Christmas card...but it was a bit too tame for my liking. So I changed it into a sympathy card. It's perfect! :)

Now, I'm not saying I LOVE sending out sympathy cards, but I DO know how a sympathy card can ease the burden of losing a loved one just a smidgen bit. So, I am hoping that this beauty will bring comfort to the person who receives it. Luckily, I do not have anyone who needs it currently.

Here's the card (Sympathy Silhouette)~

Details~

What are your thoughts? I feel the glitter was NEEDFUL. But, I usually think glitter and bling are needful, so, yeah. Hopefully you like it as much as I do. :) Hopefully it inspires you to join in the silhouette challenge--such fun! Hop over and see what others have created--it's half the fun!!! Happy stamping! :)
