Pinkalicious...AGAIN!

Well, it seems like pink is the color of choice lately! ;) I have a VERY pink card for you--and, of course, it's a Valentine!!! I got to use some new papers to make this, and some stamps I haven't used in a while or EVER, and so I'm really excited about it!!! :)

Here's the card~

Details~

Is it pink enough?! I hope so! That's what they're asking for over at Charizma Cardz! I've also used this week's Mojo Monday sketch, flowers for the Moving Along With The Times this week, and lots of bling and gems for this week's Cute Card Thursday challenge. :) I hope you come and join in the fun with us! Happy stamping!!! :)

Gray Winter Days

Well, this week's OLW is to create a one layer card with white, gray, and a splash of color in commemoration of winter. Unfortunately for me, winter has YET to make an appearance here in KS! Today was 65*F!!! What is UP with this?! I'm really hankerin' for some snow--so, this was a bit hard for me.

SO, I chose to use the colors, but use flowery images. I wanted a reminder that each day is a gift and that we shouldn't waste any of the ones we've been given!

Here's what I came up with~

What do you think? Did I accomplish what I sent out with? I think so. I'm quite happy with how it turned out! :) Won't you play along? Happy stamping!!!

Make My Monday: Butterflies &/Or Dragonflies

Ah, nature! Winged things fluttering past us on a summer night...pure bliss! This is the image I had when I saw what our challenge was for you this week over at Make My Monday. We'd like to see some butterflies and/or dragonflies!

Here's my card~

Can you see my vision? What do you think about the vibrant colors? And, yes! This is another favorite layout of mine--used it for my 2011 Christmas cards. Also versatile, as you can use ANY punch for the window! :) Since I used bold, bright colors with a mainly CAS design, I'd say this is as close to a "style" as I have! I'm linking this up with Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge for this week. The scripture is Phillipians 4:8, and we've been asked to create something that shows off our true style. :) I LOVE bling, I LOVE my clear glitter gel pen, I LOVE my dry embossing folders and I LOVE Victorian style--all of these were used in the creation of this card!

I hope you'll find your own vision for this week's challenge and link up with us! And please take the time to look at the other DT creations and say hello--we all appreciate hearing from you! Happy stamping! :)

A little bit sketchy...

Yep. I'm a little bit sketchy. And I'm crafty! But, both of those are good things to be this week over at Less is More. They've given us a fabulous sketch to follow--but you HAVE to follow it EXACTLY. No rotating, no other shape than a rectangle, nothing. This totally appeals to my lazy personality, so of COURSE I had to join in!

Here's the fabby sketch~

Here's my card~

I wanted to do something simple and a Valentine that I could copy and mail easily. I do NOT enjoy paying extra postage when I receive mail and I NEVER want that to happen to anyone else when I mail them a card--ya know?

This card has the LOOK of a one layer card, but it's really not one. I've stamped the hearts on the white base and then stamped the bird cage onto vellum, cut it out, and placed it over the hearts. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy! ;)

I think this will do quite nicely for mailing! I may link up again, as this sketch is really versatile--I hope you'll join in the fun! Happy stamping!!! :)

PS: Forgot to mention that this is my weekly "Spread the L-O-V-E" project--it'll be used in my DH's 14 days of Valentines that I'm doing for him. :)

52 CCT Embellishment Challenge #1

Well, now. I have a question for you, class. Can anyone see a common embellishment on all the cards I've made for this month's challenges? Anyone? Yes, you in the back? CORRECT! RHINESTONES!!! I LOVE them. They are my crafting drug of choice...I have oodles of them! SO, this week at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown, I'm asking to see a Christmas card with rhinestones. AT LEAST 3. But we all know we've gone crazy with them! ;) Go on over and see Jacqueline's cards, too!!! Then you'll see! But I digress...here are MY cards. ;)

Here's my first card~

Second card (was going for a starry night thing)~

Details~

What do you think? Enough bling?! ;) PS: The second card is PURPLE. Why does my deep purple always photograph as black-ish? Anyone else have this problem as well?! Anyway, I hope you come on over and play with us--we have such fun! And then you can look at everyone's creations--they're always fabulous! Merry stamping!!!

Sweet Pea

I'm back with another punny Valentine for you! :) This one is for this week's ColorQ challenge, the Paper Playtime tag + sentiment challenge (my sentiment is a tag...), and also for the Mojo Monday Sketch challenge!

Here's the card~

Details~

The little peas and outer shell were coated with crackle accents after being colored and I really LOVE the way it turned out! I decided to add some little heart accents as it IS a Valentine and all. What do you think of the placement of them? I was going to do them along the outside edges, but changed my mind. Still not sure if I like it best this way. Anyway, come play with us! :) Happy stamping!!!

Open the aperture!

Hello. I fear I'm too late. Oh, well! Sharing these three cards, anyway. I've had a simply GHASTLY day, and I want to share these because I worked hard on them! And I do think they all turned out rather nicely! Okay, I'm a bit calmer now. The site finished loading as I typed, and I still have about 17 hours...I'm NOT too late!!! SO GLAD.

I really love the Less is More challenge this week--"Cut it out!" They've asked us to have a hole or aperture in our card and to do it with a CAS style. Hole, easy. CAS, not so. Hence the THREE cards! Luckily, they also apply to other challenges, so not a one will be a loss! :) Not that they would, anyway. Who doesn't love a handmade card? And some people don't even care you messed up and it looks as GHASTLY as my day was--they're just touched that you MADE them something! Ya know?!

Okay, that is all I'm gonna rant about. Or rather comment. Wasn't quite a rant. I'd scare you with my rants!

OKAY. NO MORE CRAZINESS! So, aperture cards, yes? Yes! Fun? Yes! Easy? Not as easy as I thought...you'll see what I mean.

Here's my first attempt and details~

This one is darling, but not quite CAS for LIM, so I'll be entering it into this week's Pink Elephant challenge. It's a photo inspiration challenge--all about love and cuteness! :) Doesn't "Bee my honey" work for love AND cuteness?! ;) Of course it does!!!

Here's the Pink Elephant inspiration photo~

Okay, my second attempt will be submitted into the For Your Inspiration challenge--also a photo challenge. It has a "hole", but I wasn't pleased that it didn't go through the entire card. But, it's pretty! :) AND, it's more CAS, so it was CLOSE to being up to my CAS expectations. Just a few too many layers.

Here's the inspiration photo from FYI~

My card and details~

So, I've kinda sorta struck out twice, but not really, because I have two fabby cards and now a sentence with to many commas and it's running too long. Yeah. Okay. SO, I started again. And looked for a color challenge to inspire me and link to because I KNEW this would be a great card. Not that the other two aren't. BUT, this one is my fave! The color inspiration is from the Colour Create Challenge for this fortnight--pink and green!!! And they've got some photo inspiration, too! :) And this one is the one I've chosen for the LIM challenge. I do think it's the best CAS style aperture card I made...

Here's the photo inspiration from CCC~

Here's the card and details~

What do you think?! Which is your favorite? What do you love and hate about them? How could I improve? That's enough questions. I need sleep. Good night, and happy stamping!!!

What's on my desk?!

What's NOT on my desk! Seriously. I need help!!! ;) So, I didn't link up to WOYWW last week, and resolved to link up this week--but last week it was so much prettier! Too bad I didn't photograph it LAST week...

Here it is this week~

NO JUDGING. Okay, go ahead. I TOTALLY deserve it!

Now, onto the marathon of cards...well, I'll actually only share just one tonight. Did you see the three there on the desk? This is one of them! ;)

I'm using it as my weekly "Spread the L-O-V-E" project. This is going to a friend that has been on my mind for a while and I haven't gotten to talk to lately. Gonna visit her with another friend tomorrow and share some love! :)
