CASE-ing Christmas: Watercolored Christmas Tree

Hi, all!  Welcome to another post for a new weekly challenge at CASE-ing Christmas! Take a peek at this week's CASE card...

Card by DT member Daen'Ys.

I loved the colors and layout of this beautiful card.  I also loved the use of washi tape!  Those were the things that inspired my CASE.  Take a peek...

I started with the image.  This one is by Hero Arts.  I heat embossed it in a deep green and then watercolored around the embossing.  This was layered onto some die cut oval pieces.  The middle oval was dry embossed before adding it.  The washi tape behind it was added before these layers and the enamel dots afterwards.

The last think to do was to add a sentiment.  This one was stamped in black and highlighted with a clear Sakura glitter gel pen.  I believe this sentiment is a retired studio G sentiment.

I love the way this turned out!  It looks so fresh and the colors really POP!  What are your thoughts?  I would love to know--please leave me a comment! :)

That's all for me today, friends!  I hope you come and play along with us at CASE-ing Christmas!  I love seeing all your amazing creations!  I also hope that you leave a little bit of love with the other gals who have CASEd this card--they have stunning creations!  HUGS and MERRY stamping to you all! :)

Great Impressions: Water Colored Pansies

Hello, friends!  Happy Monday!  I'm back again with another card that uses some fabulous stamps from the Great Impressions store!  For today, I've did some no line water coloring with a beautiful floral stamp.  Come and see...

I started by stamping the image, G329 Pansy Bough, with light colored tan ink.  I then proceeded to use Distress markers and a water color pen to "paint" the image.  I did a bit of light blue water coloring around the image, too.

Next, I turned to create the card base.  I layered some cardstock and patterned paper, added some ribbon and a doily.  After the image was placed, I added a bow with a rhinestone center to the card.

I am very pleased with the final product!  This is only my second time doing no lines water coloring, and I am not 100% sure it looks amazing, but I do think it's rather pretty!  What do you think?  I hope you let me know in the comments below!

That's all for me today!  Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my creation!  Hop over to the Great Impressions blog for more inspiration and come play along with our monthly challenge, too!  If you use stamps from Great Impressions, you'll be able to link up your creation in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!  See you again soon!

Inspired By Stamping: Baby Frame

Hello, friends!  Looking for a gift idea for your next baby shower?  Look no further! :)  I'm here with just such the gift using beautiful products from the Inspired By Stamping store.  I decided to alter a frame for baby's picture...come and see...

I started by painting the wood frame white and then adding paper from the Vintage Floral Paper Pad.  I Mod Podged the whole thing afterwards to keep the paper in place.  To the top, I added a bow made from ribbon in the Pinks Ribbon Collection and a white pearl brad from the Vintage Floral Kit.

Next, I added LOTS of fun flowers to the bottom corner.  The flowers used include Cherry Blossoms, a Daisy, Medium Flowers, and Mixed Small Flowers.  These were all hot glued in place and then another bow made from ribbon from the Pinks Ribbon Collection and another pearl brad from the Vintage Floral Kit was nestled into the furthest part of the corner.

Lastly, I added a sentiment.  This one is a hybrid sentiment that I made using stamps from the Big Hello stamp set and the Big Congrats stamp set.  I stamped it onto more Vintage Floral Paper Pad paper and die cut it out with the Fancy Labels 3 die cuts.

I very much adore the final product!  I think this will be the perfect gift for a new baby girl!  What do you think?  I'd love for you to tell me in a comment below!  :)

That's all for me today!  I'll be back soon with more crafty creations, so stay tuned!  If you have some time, hop over to the Inspired By Stamping store to grab these goodies and play along with our monthly challenge, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all! :)

Inspired By Stamping: Thank You Bouquet

Hello, all!  THANK YOU for stopping by today! :)  I'm back with another card using beautiful products from the Inspired By Stamping store.  My card today uses some of our newest stamps...come and see!

I started by stamping the bouquet image from the new Spring Bouquet set.  I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers and then cut it out with the Spring Bouquet cut file.  I trimmed it up just a bit to add more space for patterned paper to show through.

I then stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the same Spring Bouquet stamp set onto patterned paper.  A few rhinestones were added for a bit more shine and texture.

I then just had to layer the image onto the card base!  Easy peasy, and I LOVE the way it turned out!  I think the bright colors and distressed background really add a lot of interest. :) What do you think?  I hope you leave me a comment to let me know!

CASE-ing Christmas: The Stockings Were Hung...

Hi, all!  Welcome to another post for a new weekly challenge at CASE-ing Christmas! Take a peek at this week's CASE card...

Card by DT member Cohenna.

I just ADORE this fun stocking card, don't you?!  SO much to be inspired by!  I was inspired by the stocking, of course, as well as the colors.  I went a little overboard and decided to create a cozy scene on my card this week.  Come and take a peek...

The first step in making this card was to heat emboss the stocking sentiment with red glittery embossing powder from Sweet Stamps.  This image is by Inkadinkado.  I added some liquid pearl for some subtler shine, texture, and color.

Next, I created a fireplace.  This was pretty easy, just cut out some kraft paper, dry emboss it, sponge it, cut out a square, add a "mantel", and create a fire with punches.

The last step was to just layer these pieces onto a patterned paper background.  I chose a patterned paper that looked like worn wall paper.  I think it looks super fun!  What do you think?  I hope you leave me a comment to let me know!
