MHKDesigns: Snow Babies

Hi, all!  Welcome to Week 5 of the MHKDesigns Christmas in July special release!  This is the last new set to be introduced to the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop, but we still have tons of fun inspiration to share with you!  We have had a lovely guest joining us this month--Karin from Karin's Art Scrap!  She always makes the most beautiful holiday creations--I have loved every single one, and hope you have, too!

Inspired By Stamping: Fresh Bouquet

Hello, friends!  Welcome to another release for the Inspired By Stamping online store!  Today we are sharing another fabulous new set--Fresh Bouquet.  This set is SO amazing--the large floral image is absolutely FABULOUS and perfect for coloring with any medium!  Take a peek at the card I've made using this gorgeous set... 

I heat embossed the image from the Fresh Bouquet set with clear embossing powder, then water colored it.  I added the sentiment over the top after stamping it onto vellum to allow more of this beautiful image to show through.  A few rhinestones were added fore a bit more texture and shine.  I decided to punch the corners to create a sort of vintage picture frame feel.

Some distressed patterned paper was all that was needed to finish the card base before adding my main focal image to it.  I am SO pleased with how this turned out!  I hope you think it looks nice, as well!  I can't wait to hear what you think in the comments below. :)

Inspired By Stamping: Words of Inspiration II

Hello, friends!  Welcome to another release for the Inspired By Stamping online store!  Today we are sharing another fabulous new set--Words of Inspiration II.  This set is SO fun to work with--and all the sentiments are just absolutely beautiful.  Take a peek at the card I've made using this new set...  

I chose to go CAS for this card to highlight the beautiful sentiment from the Words of Inspiration II set.  I scored some lines above and below it, then masked them off and stamped some of the floral images from the set to create a border.  Black rhinestones became flower centers, and the focal panel was matted with black cardstock.

I decided to go with a kraft card base to help the white focal panel POP even more.  I totally adore this fun card, and I hope you do, too!  I would love to hear your thoughts about it in the comments below! :)

Seize the Birthday + MHKDesigns: Pink Poppy Birthday

Hi, friends!  I am back with my last creation for the current challenge at Seize the Birthday!!!  I want to say one last THANK YOU SO MUCH to Nancy and this amazing DT.  They have been so kind to have me the last two months, and I hope you've been playing along with us!

You can never have too many birthday cards, and I can't wait to share with you what I have for this fortnight's challenge!  The challenge for the next two weeks is "Anything Birthday Goes" with a topping option of "Pink and Brown". Check out my creation...

I used the Perfect Poppies digital stamp set from MHKDesigns for the flowers on this card.  I colored them in with Spectrum Noir markers in two shades of bright pink.  I added some punched leaves and light pink pearls to accent these beautiful blooms--I just love them!  The sentiment is from the Eat Your Cake digital stamp set and was printed onto vellum before being added to the card.

The brown polka dot paper is from the Glorious Garden paper pack.  I added some twine and a button for more texture and interest, and then the focal panel was added to the card base with dimensional foam to add a bit more depth to this creation.  I love the way this turned out, and I hope you do, too!  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
