Paper Sweeties Challenge - July 2017 Anything Goes!

Hello, all! It's time for another challenge at Paper Sweeties and we have a super fun and festive inspiration for you this month! Take a peek...

Isn't that super fun?! I was inspired by that wreath and the patriotic feel! Here's my completed creation...

I used the wreath stamp from the Hello Spring stamp set and then the Hello Spring Sweet Cuts dies to create my patriotic wreath. The flower was made using the little heart die and the flower die from the Sweet Cuts set and I love it!

This sweet sentiment is from the Love You To Pieces set. I stamped it onto vellum before adding it to my card. I love the fun fonts!

I kept it CAS with some dry embossing and a few litter embellishments. I love the way this turned out and I hope you do, too! Please leave me a comment below to let me know what you think!

MHKDesigns: Digital Faux Quilt Background

Hi friends! I hope your summer/winter (depending on the hemisphere!) has been great so far! I am really exited to share that starting this month, I will be sharing tutorials on the MHKDesigns Blog on how to create one-layer digital cards with products from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop that look like the have been cut and layered! I feel like a lot of the cards I make are never mailed because they get bulky, so this is a way I can ensure that some of them at least will make it out of my house! ;) Take a peek at the first card I have to share with you in this series...

Isn't it pretty??? I love the way the papers are layered and look like a faux quilt! That's why I'm calling this digital technique "Digital Faux Quilted Background". The papers I used for this technique are from the Sunflower Sampler digital paper pack. The image (from the Stitched Sunflower digital stamp set) was not colored digitally, though. I colored it in with Spectrum Noir markers after it was printed. The burlap ribbon was also added for some added texture!

MHKDesigns: Sit a Bit

Hello, friends! Welcome to the June 2017 Release for the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! I have 5 fabulous new sets to share this month and they cover MANY occasions! I just know you will LOVE all the creations that my team and I have to share, as well! Today's set is called...

Sit a Bit

And here is my card~

I went back to Photoshop for this focal panel and went with a feminine color combo. I made the image a medium gray so that the black sentiment would really POP! I added a few silver embellishments and then added my focal panel to the card base.

I used paper from the Damsel in Distress paper pack for more texture and an extra bit of vintage vibe behind my focal panel. I love the way this card turned out! What do you think?! I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

MHKDesigns: Season's Greetings

Season's Greetings

And here is my card set~

When I go to make Christmas cards, I usually go overboard and then find it difficult to mail them! Too many embellishments. So, I decided to keep these cards SUPER CAS and see what the result would be. I know it's not too clear from the photo, but the only embellishment on these is some Stickles in Diamond Dust in strategic areas all over each image.

I think the final product is the perfect mail-able, and still festive, holiday card! What do you think?! I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)
