Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello, friends! Happy Thanksgiving! I am so grateful for all of you and so much more! I just LOVE this time of year! The weather is getting cooler (for which this teacher who has recess duty NEEDS), spirits are high, and the opportunities to share and give are endless! Today I have a card that I made using digital elements from Ooh La La Scraps with a thankful sentiment. This card was made for one of the staff members at the school I work at. It takes a focused team to help, and I am so thankful for all the amazing people I get to work with daily!

Ok, so technically this is two cards. One that is plain and flat (this is the one that went to the coworker--he isn't into frills, but our staff needed to thank him), and the other has some twine, Card Candi, and a key charm added for some texture and interest. This card is yet to be given, but it will be soon, I hope! The digital paper and images are from the Nearly Fall digital scrapbooking kit from Ooh La La Scraps. I created the layering and sentiment myself, and put the focal panels together using Adobe Photoshop.

I totally adore the way these turned out! The simple fall vibe really makes my heart happy right now. I hope you like them, too! I can't wait to hear your comments below--they totally make my day!

I'm entering this card into these fabulous challenges:

Thank you again for stopping by today, friends! If you are interested and looking for a *NEW* challenge and/or design team, please check out my *NEW* challenge, The Rainbow Card Challenge, coming January 2019 with a DT call going on NOW! That's all I have for now, but I hope to be back again soon! Until next time, HUGS and happy crafting, all!

Guest Designer: Crafter's Castle

Hello, crafty friends! I am super excited to get to be a guest designer this month at the Crafter's Castle Challenge! Thank you to Janie for inviting me, and for all the DT members and their welcoming kindness! The challenge theme this month is "Anything Holiday Goes"! The sponsor for this month's challenge is OohLaLaScraps (an Etsy Shop). Please visit them to see the amazing variety of products they have! I just know that you will find the perfect item for your next digital creation!

For my project today, I've used the Naughty or Nice digital scrapbook kit.

Here is what I created.

Raise your hand if you struggle to create cards that are easy to mail! Me, too! That's why digital design is such a great way to personalize your creations without the bulk! Mail and budget friendly--plus a handmade touch! What's not to love???

I used Adobe Photoshop to create the focal panels these darling Christmas cards. They use digital papers and elements from the Naughty or Nice digital scrapbook kit from OohLaLaScraps. I decided to distress the edges for just a bit more texture before adding them to red cardstock bases. I just LOVE the variety of products in these kits--there is SO MUCH to choose from, and they can be tailored to ANY style of crafting!

To see how my project was created, please check out my video!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends! I can't wait to hear your thoughts on my creations in the comments below! I hope you come join in the fun with us at Crafter's Castle, and don't forget to grab some goodies from OohLaLaScraps, too! Also, check out the creations the other members of this amazing DT have to share!

Until next time, HUGS and happy crafting!

As a teacher, I like to keep thank you postcards around to give to students when they delight me with a picture or other gift. I think setting the example for giving thanks is essential in the education of children, and they love getting a handwritten thank you! Don't we all, really? And isn't Thanksgiving the perfect time to send a small thank you to someone who has helped you? I think so. ;)
