Christmas in July Video Hop: Washi Ornaments (Washi Tape Series)

Hello, friends! I am super excited to be participating in Monica Taylor's Christmas in July Video Hop on YouTube! I will be sharing with you how to use washi tape to create fun die cut embellishments!

Here are the cards I created using this technique~

I will be the first to admit, I have a copious amount of washi. You might even call me a washi hoarder. This is SUCH a fun way to use it, and it's so quick and simple! So versatile, as well!

And here is my video~

And one last look at the cards~

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek! Join the fun on YouTube, or see THIS POST for all the information! There are prizes offered along the way, so don't miss out! Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Washi Tape Series 04: Pink & Black Owl

Hi, friends! I'm back with another card that uses washi tape, this time as a fun background for a sweet punched owl! How cute is he?! Or she??? Take a peek...

I LOVE using black and white with one color, and, since this card was for a special friend who loves owls and pink, I went with PINK as my color! I used a variety of washi tapes from my stash, a punch from Stampin' Up!, and a die sentiment and papers from The Stamps of Life.

I LOVE the way this card turned out, and I hope you like it, too! I would love to hear your thoughts on it in the comments below! I look forward to reading them! :)

I'm entering this card into these fabulous challenges~

Washi Tape Series 03: Borders & A Butterfly

Well, hello my friends! I am so sorry that I haven't been as faithful as I had hoped here this summer. I have been involved in a lot of projects to help manage my anxiety, and I can honestly say this summer has been one of the best I've had in a long time! But I've missed you all, so I had to pop in today to share another card for my Washi Tape Series. Oh, I have quite a few more to share, so please don't give up on me yet! Take a peek at today's offering...

So, this card is frustrating to me because the washi tapes are GOLD, but I could not get a good angle to photograph the shine! Oh, well. ;)

These fun washi's are ones that I normally don't use as much because I never know what to DO with them. Borders and sentiments. Yes, I know I could use them the way I usually use washi, but I really wanted these to be showcased differently, so I chose to use them literally. As borders and a sentiment!

Both of these washi tapes are from Doodle Bug Designs, the butterfly punches are from EK Success, the glitter and liquid pearls are from Ranger, and the cardstock is from The Stamps of Life. I cannot remember where the glitter paper came from...sorry! I do adore this fun card, and it has already been re-homed. ;) I would love to hear your thoughts on this card in the comments below!

TRCC #7: Blue Breezes

Hello, friends, and happy July! I hope you're looking forward to a new month--I know I am! Thank you so much to everyone who played along last month at The Rainbow Card Challenge for our first rainbow prompt! All the creations were AMAZING! And now, here is this month's prompt...

Now, we really just want to see creations with an abundance of blue. You don't have to necessarily go with the "breezy" theme or use the photos as your guide. Mostly monochrome, if you understand my meaning. For all the details about the "rules" (there are very few), you can see the challenge post! This post is about the card I made, so take a peek...

This card was made for newest nephew--Levi! He arrived in May, and I decided he needed to know "owl" about how much he was loved! ;) I used patterned paper from My Mind's Eye, an owl stamp set from my stash (I don't know the name, sorry!), cardstock from The Stamps of Life, punches and ink from Stampin' Up!, and liquid pearls from Ranger to complete this card. The owl is indeed paper pieced!

I think this card is absolutely darling, and I hope you like it, too! I would LOVE for you to let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Please come and join us this month at The Rainbow Card Challenge! I LOVE seeing what everyone creates! If you're looking for even more inspiration, you should take a peek at what the other amazingly talented gals on the design team have created, too!
