Christmas 24: Challenge #2 - Anything Goes!

Hello, friends! I am SO excited to be sharing that I am on the Design Team for the *NEWEST* holiday card challenge, Christmas 24! If you follow along, you will have 24 cards made before the Christmas holiday each year! Challenges are biweekly on the 1st and 15th of the month, and this month's challenge are ANYTHING GOES.  ALSO, we are holding a DT Call! Thank you to everyone who joined us for the first ever challenge--we loved all of your gorgeous holiday creations!

Here is my creation for the 2nd challenge this month.

I created the focal panel for this card in Photoshop using cleaned-up vintage digital images and a sentiment I created. I added texture with various brushes. I then matted the focal panel with black cardstock and added it to a kraft card base. I chose not to add any bling so that the angel is the main focus of the card.

I very much love this simple, yet elegant holiday card, and I hope you do, too! I would love for you to tell me your thoughts in the comments below!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends! Please come join us at Christmas 24, and don't forget to leave some love with the other members of this fabulous team! Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping!

TRCC #13: Wonderfully White

Hi, all! Happy New Year 2020! I cannot believe it's been an entire year since I started The Rainbow Card Challenge! It has been such a fun ride, and I am so grateful for all of your support! This month's challenge is called Wonderfully White! Take a peek at our fun inspiration...

Isn't that so wintry and soft? I adore it! I chose to use some of my favorite images/elements for this card. I LOVE butterflies, and think they are perfect for a New Year's card--they do represent beginning over, after all! Here's what I came up with...

I chose to use a patterned paper from my stash for my base. I used more white paper and some shimmering white pearl paper as the base of the focal point. The butterfly punches are from EK Success, the white glitter accents and doily are from Doodlebug Design, and the ribbon is from The Stamps of Life. The sentiment is from an Avery Elle set called Magnolias.

I totally love how this card turned out! The layering with a shabby chic feel is one of my favorite styles! I would love to hear your opinion about it in the comments below!

If you're looking for even more inspiration, you should take a peek at what the other amazingly talented gals on the design team have created, too!

Challenges are biweekly on the 1st and 15th of the month, and this month's challenge are ANYTHING GOES.  ALSO, we are holding a DT Call!

Here is my creation for the 1st challenge this month.

I created the focal panel for this card in Photoshop using cleaned-up vintage digital images and a sentiment I created. I added texture with various brushes. I then added the focal panel with gold glitter paper and added it to a black card base. A smattering of gold glitter accents and rounded corners finished this card.

I very much love this non-traditional holiday card, and I hope you do, too! I would love for you to tell me your thoughts in the comments below!
