Seize the Birthday + MHKDesigns: Pink Poppy Birthday

Hi, friends!  I am back with my last creation for the current challenge at Seize the Birthday!!!  I want to say one last THANK YOU SO MUCH to Nancy and this amazing DT.  They have been so kind to have me the last two months, and I hope you've been playing along with us!

You can never have too many birthday cards, and I can't wait to share with you what I have for this fortnight's challenge!  The challenge for the next two weeks is "Anything Birthday Goes" with a topping option of "Pink and Brown". Check out my creation...

I used the Perfect Poppies digital stamp set from MHKDesigns for the flowers on this card.  I colored them in with Spectrum Noir markers in two shades of bright pink.  I added some punched leaves and light pink pearls to accent these beautiful blooms--I just love them!  The sentiment is from the Eat Your Cake digital stamp set and was printed onto vellum before being added to the card.

The brown polka dot paper is from the Glorious Garden paper pack.  I added some twine and a button for more texture and interest, and then the focal panel was added to the card base with dimensional foam to add a bit more depth to this creation.  I love the way this turned out, and I hope you do, too!  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Hi, friends!  I hope your July has been going by with lots of crafty times!  I am back with another creation for the current challenge at Seize the Birthday!!!  I've been having tons of fun with this talented DT, and I hope you've been playing along with us!

You can never have too many birthday cards, and I can't wait to share with you what I have for this fortnight's challenge!  The challenge for the next two weeks is "Anything Birthday Goes" with a topping option of "Bold & Bright". Check out my creation...

I used the Simple Rose digital stamp set from MHKDesigns for the image on this card.  I water colored the images then added splatters to the panel for more texture.  I kept the shadowing simple to draw the eye more towards the middle of the card because it contains...  

...the sentiment!  This one is from the Eat Your Cake digital stamp set and was printed onto vellum before being stapled to the card.  Some washi tapes add a bit more pattern and glitz and help anchor the diagonal sentiment.  A few sequins help to add more shine and bring more green to the card.

The focal panel was added to the card base with dimensional foam to add a bit more depth to this creation.  I love the way this turned out, and I hope you do, too!  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Hi, friends!  I am back with another creation for the current challenge at Seize the Birthday!!!  I've been having tons of fun with this talented DT, and I hope you've been playing along with us!

You can never have too many birthday cards, and I can't wait to share with you what I have for this fortnight's challenge!  The challenge for the next two weeks is "Anything Birthday Goes" with a topping option of "Birds, Bees, or Butterflies". Check out my creation...

I used the Butterfly Wisdom digital stamp set from MHKDesigns for the image on this card.  I colored this image in with Spectrum Noir markers, then added some glitter for extra shine and sparkle.  Various washi tapes help to anchor the image in place atop a dry embossed focal panel.  

The sentiment, from the Fruit Borders digital stamp set, was printed onto vellum before being added to the card.  The patterned paper is from the Stars & Stripes digital paper pack.  A few sequins help to add more shine around the fun sentiment.
