This was such a fun page to create!  The brads were perfect to use as fun ornament type embellishments and I LOVE how easy it was to digitally color in the digi!  It just turned out so fabulously and I am really happy with it!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my layout!  I do hope you'll join in the fun this fortnight and play along with us!  Don't forget to stop by and see what the other gals on the DT have come up with, too!  HUGS and happy {digi} stamping!

It seems like forever...

It seems like forever since I last had time to MAKE something.  We were without power for 96 hours this past weekend due to some serious wind storms in the area and so I haven't been home.  I. WAS. HAVING. WITHDRAWLS!!!  It had already been almost a week since I had crafted and then the clean up after the storm prolonged the whole thing...WOW.  I am SO glad I had time to make a card tonight!!!

Here's the card and a bit of detail~

For these fabulous challenges~

(Use distressing in your project.)

I've used a gorgeous freebie image from A Day For Daisies, a sentiment by and unknown company (got it at a consignment sale), patterned glitter paper by DCWV, rhinestones by Basic Grey and Studio 120, gold glimmer mist from Tattered Angels, bubble wrap, and all other supplies used are by Stampin' Up!.

And now, I'd like to share some fun pictures from our mini vacay while the power was out!  Luckily we were able to salvage most of our perishables in my parents' freezer!  We stayed at my DH's parents' house since they were gone on vacation and so it was rather nice!

Here are some pictures from our adventure~

My sweet fur baby chillin' at grandpa and grandma's.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope that you've been inspired to create something today and that you join in these super fun challenges!  HUGS and happy stamping friends!

My little fur baby is SUCH a big part of my life!  Because my DH and I have struggled for about 7 years with infertility, she has become such a comfort to us in the past few years we've had her.  She is the sweetest, cuddliest, darlingest puppy anyone could ever have.  I am so grateful to God for sending her to us!  I can say, along with other parents of "rescued" pets, that SHE rescued us more than we rescued her.  I love her so!

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my little page!  If I ever turn it into a layout, I'll let you know! ;)  I do hope that you'll come and join us in this fun challenge!  HUGS and happy {digi} creating! :)

Back in the groove...

So, we're back for reallsies!  I got all the laundry done and the house cleaned.  I just didn't fold the laundry.  Is that bad?  I'm one of those people who feels that as long as it's clean, you can fold it yourself or else grab it out of the basket.  I need to make things--namely cards and crafts! ;)  So, that's what I did!  I made FIVE cards today!  One is a DT card for later, but I'll show you 2 of the other four tonight!

Here's the first card~

(Find my scrumptious digi HERE)

This card was fun to make.  I started by creating a panel with a photoshop program using the delicious strawberry digi from Free Vintage Digital Stamps and then printed it out.  I then colored the strawberries, dry embossed the panel with a folder from Stampin' Up!  I then added some ribbon, a twine tied button, and a cute sentiment from the Fresh Fruits set by Fiskars.  Voila!  Card finished and it looks oh so delicious!  And now for another card!

(I've used a sentiment by Hero Arts & Basic Grey
 from the Kissing Booth Collection
in a set called "Friend Your The Best".)

This was such a fun card to make!  I just grabbed a bunch of bright cardstock and ribbon, dry embossed the blue panel with a Darice folder, put the papers and ribbon together, added a sentiment and some rhinestones, and here you go!  SO much fun!

Thanks for coming by and saying hi!  I've missed everyone and cannot wait to really get back into the groove!  I hope to be back tomorrow night with some more cards, but it's my first day back to work after summer break and we'll see. BOO.  I want more summer!  Happy stamping! ;)

PS: I had to post this darling picture of my fur baby!  I've missed her so!  Isn't she a doll?!

Blog Candy Wrap Up, Liebster Award, & Random Musings

Hello, blog friends! It's time to wrap up my blog candy!!! :) I've used random.org to create a widget and randomly choose a winner...and then I couldn't figure out how to paste it here--it never had the number of the winner...so you'll really just have to trust me!!!

The random winner is~
#25 Paperella!!!

Please email me ASAP at onastampageATyahooDOTcom with your information and I'll get your package out this weekend! :) If I don't hear from you within the week, I'll redraw, so hurry! :)

I'm also giving a special shout out today to my friend, Katy, over at I like to cut and paste! Katy has been kind enough to award me the Liebster blog award! Thank you, Katy!!! You're so sweet! Pop on over and see some of her fabulous creations! :)

The origins of the Liebster Blog Award are somewhat unclear but the general consensus is that they originated in Germany. Liebster, meaning-favorite or dearest to showcase bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. Upon accepting this award, the recipient must then pass it on to 5 more blogs.

So, who will I award this to? Well, after some considering, I've chosen the following 5 bloggers:

1. A Crafty Person--I don't know her given name, but she really is crafty! She always participates in PTI's MIM--and her creations are fabulous! She's inspired me, as participating each week in PTI's MIM is something I am wanting to do after I purchase more of their products. Go check her out!

2. Cardartart--Just like A Crafty Person, I don't know her real name, but she has an eye for color! I LOVE seeing her colorful creations pop up on my blog feed! She's always doing fun shaped cards or cards that are a little bit different than the norm--I LOVE her telescoping card she recently made!!! Leave her some love today! :)

3. Esther @ Shoregirl's Creations--Esther is an amazing crafter! Not only is she a fabulous card maker, she also gives away a lot of free digital prints; sews amazing purses, clutches, and more; and shares where she gets all her ideas! She's amazing--I know you'll agree after you visit her!

4. Craftilicious--Another friend who's name I don't know, but who has some amazing talent! She makes some of the most fabulous CAS cards I've ever seen--and the way she uses color is spectacular! If you're new to CAS style or love it like I do, she's a must follow!

5. Jacqueline @ Deezines Art--Last, but most definitely least, I've chosen Jacqueline. Jacqueline has become one of my very best blogging friends. She and I co-host a Christmas challenge blog (52CCT) and she is the owner of Make My Monday (I'm on her Deezine Team!). She has got some of the most fabulous ideas--she is so inspiring and I KNOW you'll love her style! Pop on over to say hi!

Thank you, ladies, for being such fabulous blogging friends! Each of you totally deserves this award! :)

Now, some other random musings that don't fit in with any other posts...

Here is my puppy, Hundie, as a Jedi~

Yeah. We're Star Wars fans. I've even figures out my Jedi name. But I forget what it is...anyway, we LOVE Sci-Fi at our house. Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, Fringe...I could go on. But I won't!

Here's one last musing for you--what have you done or made something for someone else today? I've found that I am happiest when I am giving instead of thinking of myself. I truly believe that crafters are some of the happiest people you'll meet because they are constantly creating for others--it's no fun to hoard cards and projects! ;) Thanks again to Katy, congrats to all the winners today, and I hope you all have a fabulous day! Happy crafting, friends!
