I'm ready for SPRING!

Hi, friends!  I've got 2 cards to share with you today!  They both have spring themes--one is for St. Patty's day and the other for Mother's day!  They're both relatively CAS in design and use some stamps that have never seen ink--joyous day for that rubber! ;)

Here's the St. Patty's day card~

For these fabulous challenges~

For this card, I used my NEW chevron background stamp from Stampers Best, a twine from my stash, glimmer mist, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.  I colored each section of the chevron stamp to create a rainbow pattern, spritzed it with pearl glimmer mist, and then stamped.  I love how textured it looks!

Here's the Mother's Day card~

Make My Monday: Mother's Day

Welcome back to another week at Make My Monday! We're still looking for spring cards, and this week we'd like the main focus to be Mother's Day. If you do not have a mother, please make us a thank you card for a female in your life! :)

I've been playing around quite a bit lately with a technique that I love that has turned into something else. You all know how I love to do punch window cards where the top layer is dimensionalized and a sentiment or image are stamped underneath. See here, here, and here. Well, I recently started to embellish the negative of the punch/die as well. See here. SO pretty!! And perfect for mom!

Here's my card~

Details~

It's so clean, simple, and easy! If you'd like to know how to do this, give me a holler--email me! Maybe I'll semi-bring-back Technique Tuesday tomorrow and tell you how to do this. It's fun, easy, and packs a huge visual punch!

I cannot wait to see the fabulous creations you all turn out this week--and for more astounding inspiration, please visit my fellow DT members! Happy stamping! :)

Mother's Day Gifts & Cards

Happy Mother's Day! I originally got this poem to use for teacher appreciation week, but I felt that it describes mothers (aka ALL women) to a tee! So I made one to frame for my mother and she's also getting a huge jar of M&Ms! Plus the card I made, of course! Hope you take the time to tell the women in your life that you are grateful for them!
