TTT: Water Stamping

Welcome to April!  How was March?  Are you ready for SPRING?!  I know I am!  Anyway, the reason for this post is to inform you that we have a new technique ready for you to try over at Technique Time Tuesday!  This month we're learning about WATER STAMPING.  SO fun!!!

Technique Time Tuesday: Brick Wall

It's a new month, can you believe it?!  That means a brand new technique challenge is ready for you over at Technique Time Tuesday!!!  This month, our hostess, Karen P., has chosen the BRICK WALL technique!  SO fun!

I used a floral image by Great Impressions, patterned paper by K&Company, Staz-on black ink, Versamark ink, black embossing powder by Stampendous!, rhinestons by Zva, twine from my stash, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

Technique Tuesday: 3D Pedestal Pop-Up Card

Well, firstly I must take a little time to say THANK YOU to Ellen.  She's the brains behind this month's challenge at Technique Tuesday!  I NEVER would have learned to make a 3D Pedestal Pop Up Card unless she had chosen this for her month.  THANK YOU for challenging me, Ellen!!!  This is SUCH a fun card to make, and I hope that you come and join us--it is SO easy, just takes a little time depending on how detailed you want it!

Isn't that just too FUN?!  I've used stamps by Imaginesce, white embossing powder by Stampendous!, a Cricut cutter/scoring tool, cloud dies by Die-Namics,  rhinestones by Zva Creations & Stampin' Up!, a doily from my stash, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

I went with an Easter theme and I think this card is destined for my little nieces in Utah!  I think they'll love it, don't you?!  I even left a little room on the inside for a short message from my DH, fur baby, and me. :)

So, I recently purchased some beautiful glitter paper at Michael's and this was the perfect opportunity to use it!!!  I LOVE the trees in the photo inspiration and wanted to mimic them as best as I could.  I hope you think that I did an okay job!  I think this card is just so soft and pretty!

Technique Tuesday: 3D Punch Elements

I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone who participated in the Bargello challenge at Technique Tuesday.  It was a huge success and we had amazing entries!  YOU ROCK! :)

This is an incredibly simple technique that gives a WOW factor to your projects, so I hope that you all come and join in!  For those of your wondering--YES, you can fold down the element and mail it!  It may take a little extra postage, but it will fit in an envelope!  Happy stamping! :)

H{owl}oween!

So, I got the most darling owl set from the consignment sale the other day and I had to use it to make a Halloween card!  I'm thinking this will be the LAST Halloween card of the season as I'm a bit Halloween'd out...I've used inspiration from four fabulous challenges and I do like the end result.  I hope you will, as well!

Top Tip Tuesday: Halloween

I was really inspired by the pennants in the photo at colourQ and so I decided to pull out my pennant punch and create a banner to mimic the band in the sketch.  Rhinestones seemed about the only embellishment that would do, so I added some and then sprinkled some more onto the starry sky in my image.  I've also used this month's technique at my Technique Tuesday challenge--Bargello!  My TIP for creating a bargello background--make sure you use STRONG adhesive and glue down every single small piece.  Otherwise you'll have panels falling off of your card! You've got just about one day to create something fabulous in order to win a prize, so please check it out and play along!
