I'm sorry...

...I lied to you.  I know I said I wouldn't be back until next week, but then I decided today that I am going to do a mid-monthly reminder for Technique Tuesday and call it Mid-Month Motivation--I hope that Jacqueline will forgive me for semi-stealing her title from Make My Monday. :)

What I've decided to do is this: Halfway through the month, I will choose a card from that month's challenge at  Technique Tuesday that I really like, CASE it, and use it as the Mid-Month Motivation!  This month I chose this card by Victoria to CASE!  I LOVE her use of the teeny tiny flowers and the swirl from the Everything Eleanor set by Stampin' Up!

Here's my CASE of her card~

For these fabulous challenges~

I hope you come and join in the fun with the Faux Pressed Flowers challenge this month at Technique Tuesday, and I hope you join in these other fabulous challenges, too!  Don't forget to go and see Victoria's amazing card and say hi to her as well!  Happy stamping, friends! :)

Technique Tuesday: Faux Pressed Flowers

Hi, again!  It's the first Tuesday of June, so that means that a new Technique Tuesday challenge has gone live!!!  I hope you'll join me--I want to share the joy of learning and paper crafting with as many of you as possible!!!  Thanks to all who joined me last month!  All the creations made with the Velveteen Stamping technique were absolutely gorgeous!  Stay tuned because on the 15th I'll announce Top Winner and Showcased cards!

Now, back to the task at hand!  This month, the tutorial is all about Faux Pressed Flowers!  I've used this technique before, but way a long time ago before I met all of you and started entering challenges.  You can see that post here.  It cracks me up, because this was the ORIGINAL Technique Tuesday post, but I never got it up and going because I was young and naive about blogging. *sigh* BUT I DIGRESS...

Here's my card for this month's technique~

Details~

Thanks for stopping by--I cannot wait to see your creations using the Faux Pressed Flowers technique!  Happy crafting! :)

Technique Tuesday Spotlight :)

So, this is a new thing I'm trying out. Each Tuesday my goal is to post a way cool technique that I have recently learned or have always loved. Today's technique spotlight is...FAUX PRESSED FLOWERS. This was last weeks technique on Splitcoast Stampers, but hopefully this is new to some of you. :) Here are the samples (I LOVE this technique, so there are quite a few):

And here's how to do this technique! It's super simple.

Supplies

Paper flowers

Glue stick

Cardstock

Embossing folders
Sizzix Purse (or other die cut machine to run the folder through)

Instructions
:
1. Using the glue stick SPARINGLY, glue the paper flowers in place on your cardstock.
2. Place the cardstock into the embossing folder and run it through the Sizzix Purse.
3. Add the element to a project! :)

See! Super simple! I'll be showcasing this technique at my next open house on Feb. 19th. It goes from 10am-2pm at my house. Hope to see you all there! :) Happy crafting!!!
