Great Impressions: Stamping With Gelatos

Great Impressions

It's Thursday again and since it's an even Thursday, it's time for another tutorial by yours truly over at the Great Impressions Rubber Stamps blog!  This week I'll be showing you how you can use gelatos to color in silhouette stamps and create a lovely water color effect.  I've decided to use some bright and summery colors as the season is coming to an end and soon we'll be back in the deep tones of the autumn.

Here's the card I've made~

Neon

Still wide away.  Will go to bed after this post, I promise.  I won't bug you anymore tonight.  Okay, so something totally different from what I posted a little bit ago.  Here is a fabulously sparkly and neon card that kind of just came together and worked.  It's so BRIGHT!!!

Here it is~

For these fabulous challenge~

I've used glitter paper by Colorbok, patterned papers by Recollections, Gelatos by Faber Castelle, a sentiment by Papertrey Ink, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.  I actually used the Gelatos to stamp my image and then ran one over the edges of the image panel.  LOVE the way it looks!

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!  I hope you like what you see and that you are now inspired to join in the fun at these amazing challenges!  HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

More Friendship

So, after the last post I posted...yeah, I just said that...I decided to get inky and make some artsy stuff.  With the same sentiment from the last post because I really like it!  I made an art journal page inspired by Clare's 4th video on the subject and a card!!!

Here's the page~

(Clare's fabulous artsy style!)

(The flower I used has been on my desk
for MONTHS and all the other stamps I
used are brand new to me!)

I've used stamps by CTMH, Kaiser Kraft, Martha Stewart, and random alphabets that I'm unsure of.  I used gelatos to color in the flower after I embossed it with black embossing powder by Stampendous!.  I did that about 2 or 3 months ago...and then poor flower sat on my desk that long!  So I put it on my page.  I then put glossy accents over it and sprinkled glitter over that.  The washi tape is by different companies--I think Studio G and We R Memory Keepers.  The paints are all from my stash and the inks, glitter, paper, and all other supplies used are by Stampin' Up!.  The only paper not by SU! is the old library Date Due card to the bottom left.  My DH had some of them in his office and was going to throw them away--I almost screamed, "DON'T DO IT!!!"  I saved them.  There are only 4 but I've also used one on the card I made, too...

Here's the card~

This card uses stamps by Inspired By Stamping, liquid pearls by Ranger, another Date Due card, white gesso paint from my stash, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my arsty endeavors.  I know they aren't the best, but I enjoy making them and am having fun learning!  I hope you'll join in these fabulous challenges--it's always fun to be challenged!!!  HUGS and happy crafting, friends! :)

May Day!

May day, May day!  Okay, so it's only April, but I thought that it would be fun to make some more toilet paper roll treat holders (see previous posts HERE and HERE) and make a May Day basket!  Guess what else?  I've made it into another video tutorial!!!  But first, some stills...

Here's the "basket"~

(Inspired by the gorgeous single bloom.)

I've used patterned paper by Recollections, a flower stamp by Martha Stewart, black embossing powder by Stampendous!, a pipe cleaner from my stash, Crop-a-dile and eyelets by We R Memory Keepers, Gelatos by Faber Castell, and all other supplies are from Stampin' Up!.

Before watching the video, know that this is only the second one I've made and that I'm still having a few issues with sound quality...so turn your speakers down a little. ;)

And here is the video tutorial on how to make this project~

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!  I hope you'll come and join in these fabulous challenges and that you enjoy my video tutorial!  HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

That's a Valentine?!

Yes, this card is a Valentine.  I actually gave it to one of my dearest co-workers today and she loved it.  So, there! ;)  Okay, so it's not your traditional colors, it's not got a "Valentine" sentiment, but I will explain in a bit why it's a Valentine.  First, just take a peek...

Here's the card~

(Purple & Green--totally doing my nursery
in these colors if I ever have a child! )

I've used a NEW Clarity stamp (the fern), a blossom by Martha Stewart, a sentiment by Stampin' Up!, rhinestones by Prima, Gelatos by Faber Castel to color in my flower, black embossing powder by Stampendous!, and card stock by SU!.

So, why is this card a Valentine?  Well, because Valentine's Day is about love.  And love is a blessing.  And so are the people that bring it into our lives.  So that's how this is a Valentine! :)

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my card!  I hope you've been inspired to create something today and please play along with these fun and fabulous challenges!  HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

So far behind...

So, I've been MAKING the cards, but I haven't had time to BLOG the cards, lol!  Ever get that way?  I have a folder of never blogged cards on my computer because I got way ahead making them over the summer and missed deadlines--oops!  Maybe one day they'll get their day in the sun! ;)  So, the point is that you might hear quite a bit from me today.  Hope that's okay!

Here's the first card~

(Use a heart on your project.)

(Must have at least one heart on project.)

I used stamps by Jillibean Soup (globe), Pink Paislee (arrow), and Stampin' Up! (sentiment).  The twine and heart rhinestone are from my stash.  All other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.  I LOVE the pop of red with all the neutrals! :)

Here's another card~

Details~

I added glitter glue--you can't really tell...

For these fabulous challenges~

(Inspired by the super fabulous bright colors!)

So, I got to use some NEW gelatos (you can find some HERE at a great price) that were sent to me in a RAK package from Michelle, the owner of Can You Digi It? to color in this gorgeous bloom.  They were super easy to use and I LOVE the way the yellow blended with the neon pink!  I also used a Big Brush pen for the leaves.  Both of these products are by Faber Castell.  The flower stamp is by Martha Stewart and the leaves and sentiment are by unknown companies (that's what you get when you buy stamps at a garage sale!).  I used a dry embossing folder by Sizzix, die cuts by Spellbinders, black embossing powder from my stash, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my cards!  I hope you enjoy them and that you're inspired to create something today!  I will be back with one more post with two cards soon--happy stamping, friends! :)
