Great Impressions: Dino Birthday Tin

Hello again, friends!  I'm back with another card using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  This week, the DT is sharing kid themed birthday projects with a twist.  I went with a card and gift in one tin!  Come and take a peek...

The image on the front of the tin is H177 Party Dinos.  I watercolored them and then added some sequins for shine.  This was added to the tin after I added some patterned paper and ribbon.

The top inside of the tin was gussied up with more patterned paper and a sentiment--E759 Time To Celebrate.  And what's inside?  Some fun dinosaur dot-to-dots and markers to finish them with!

So much fun in a small package!  And I think this would be pretty easy to mail, don't you?  I would love to know what you think about this project in a comment below!

That's all for me today!  I'll be back next Monday with another creation using stamps from the Great Impressions store.  I hope you join in our current challenge, and, if you use Great Impressions stamps, link them up in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Inspired By Stamping: Easter Gifts

Hello again, dear friends!  I am SO excited to share some Easter gifts I made to send to my nieces out in Utah.  I used some gorgeous products from the Inspired By Stamping online store to make some pretty hair bows and packaging!  Come and see...

Aren't they beautiful?!  I had a hard time deciding how to photograph them so forgive me if I share a few more views of the final product throughout the post!

I started by taking a Gluber (double sided tape circle--but it's VERY strong adhesive) and adding the ribbon in a ruffled manner.  The ribbons I used are from the Purple Ribbon Collection (yellow), the Blue Ribbon Collection, and the Pinks Ribbon Collection.

After the ribbon was finished, I added matching flowers to the centers as well as brads from the Vintage Floral Kit.  The flowers used are Off White Flowers (yellow), Dark Pink Flowers, and Blue 2 Tone Flowers.  These were all added with hot glue.  Finally, these pieces were glued to hair clips with pieces of felt that I cut out using the circle from the  Fancy Labels 3 dies.  I forgot to take that photo, I'm sorry!

After the bows were made, I decided to create some fun packaging to put them on.  I took some kraft cardstock, added a strip of paper from the Vintage Floral Paper Pad, and created slits for the clips to hold onto.  This was done with an craft knife.

The top of the packaging has a sentiment that was stamped and embossed in white onto pink cardstock.  The sentiment is from the Petite Banners stamp set.  They were die cut using the Fancy Labels 3 dies.

I think I'm going to wrap these up in cellophane bags and tie bows with coordinating ribbon.  I sure hope that my nieces like them as much as I adored making them!  What do you think?  I would love to hear in the comments below!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I love when you do!  I hope that you hop over to the Inspired By Stamping online store to grab the goodies to make these super easy handmade gifts and that you join our monthly challenge, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Great Impressions: Easter Gift Wrapping

Hi, friends!  It's time for me to share another creation using fabulous stamps from the Great Impressions online store! This week, the DT is sharing some ideas for Easter Gift wrapping!  Today I have a sweet take-out box using some of our newest designs. I hope you like it!  Come and take a peek at my creation...

I started by stamping one of the chicks from the new G519 TuTu Chicks stamp onto watercolor paper.  I then colored her in with some Spectrum Noir markers and added glitter.  She was layered onto a punched scallop with liquid pearl dot accents.

I stamped the coordinating sentiment, D494 TuTu You, onto some white card and made it into a fun banner.  This was added to a stick pin and placed behind the punched image piece.

Another pin with a baker's twine bow tops the image.  The box was prepped with some patterned paper, a punched card border, and some grosgrain ribbon.  This is all ready for some Easter treats or small gifts!  What do you think?  I'd love to hear in the comments below!

I'm entering this little gal into the following challenges~

Great Impressions: Go Green!

Hi, all!  It's time for another monthly challenge at Great Impressions!  This month, our challenge is called GO GREEN!  What does this mean?  Well, just use green on your creation, and you can link it up with us!  Take a peek at what I made...

I decided to do something a bit different than a card.  I made some lucky charms! :)  These will be fun to give to friends to wear on the fateful day...so they don't get pinched! ;)  I just stamped a clover from D476 Clover Border onto a piece of patterned paper.

I then stamped part of E828 Lucky To Have below.  I punched these out, glued them into some smashed bottle caps, added a rhinestone, and then filled them in with Glossy Accents.  The Glossy Accents kind of made the color bleed, but I rather like that.  It will make the rhinestone stay in place, at any cost!

I added these charms to the center of a pin that had been prepped with some velvet ribbon--it was glued on with hot glue.  The pins are the button type and were left over from the Precious Moments museum from years back.  A friend brought me a bag of them and they are just now getting used! ;)

I'd like to enter my "lucky charms" into these fabulous challenges~

Well, that's it for me today!  Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek!  I hope you like my "lucky charms" and that you let me know your thoughts in the comments below!  Also, hop over to the Great Impressions blog to take a peek at the other fabulous creations from this amazing DT!  Link up with us throughout the month as you use green on your projects, too! HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Snowman Soup!

Hi, friends! :)  It's getting down to the last few days before Christmas, and if you're a teacher or a parent or a friend looking for a fun little gift to give a large group of people, I have an idea for you!  It was all inspired by THIS SET from Deedee's Digis.  This is what this gift includes...

This image and the poem that go along with it explain the contents of this little treat bag.  The bags were found at the Dollar Tree, so this gift really doesn't cost too much for a large group of people!  And the tags were pretty easy to make, too.  This project took me about 3 hours to complete--but I made lots of these.  I laminated them so they could be used as "ornaments", but you don't have to do this and it would take less time. :)

Here's a quick peek at what it looks like all packaged up.  Weren't these fun snowman bags a great find?!  They are just perfect!

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek at my creation!  I hope you've been inspired to create something fun today and to use your talents to make gifts for your loved ones!  I also hope you join in the fun challenges I am entering--see the list below my signature!  HUGS and happy stamping!

Snow Globe Soap Dispenser

Hi, all!  I'm here with a super fun and easy holiday crafts idea for you.  I found the original idea HERE, but I'll do a little dialog about how I made these here, too.  Also, these look not clear, but I promise I used clear soap. ;)  It just doesn't photograph as nicely when the gold lid is reflecting into it!  Here's what you'll need to create this project: a mason jar, clear hand soap with a soap pump, super glue, Christmas or other figurines, a hammer, a screwdriver, tongs, and glitter.  Come take a gander at the completed Snow Globe Soap Dispenser!  I hope you choose to make one after you read my post!

How fun and festive is that?!  And they are really easy to make.  At first I was thinking that it would take a long time to finish this project, but it took about 10 minutes.  And 7 of that is stirring.  I'll explain.  The first thing you need to do is take a hammer and screwdriver and create a hole in the top of the jar for the soap pump to go through.  This might mean hammering more than one hole into the lid.  This is a two person job--one should hold the jar while the other hammers.  The hole might not look pretty, but who cares?!  It's gonna be covered up...if it wiggles, you can add super glue at the very end to keep it in place, but usually it's on there nicely!

After you get the hole made, lay the lid aside.  Take the figures, the super glue and the tongs, and prepare yourself.  This part may be a bit frustrating, but the good thing is that it will pass. ;)  You're gonna put super glue on the bottom of the figures and put them into the jar.  Use the tongs is necessary.  If the figures don't stay put because the bottom of the jar isn't flat, that's ok.  Just set them in there standing up.  The super glue with bond with the glass--I promise.  See, mine stayed! ;)

Ok, so now put the jar aside.  I promise.  One day, all these parts will make a whole, but not quite yet.  Take your soap, open it up.  But A LITTLE BIT of glitter into the top.  I'm talking maybe a teaspoon.  Then, take the pump and stir the glitter into the soap.  DO NOT SHAKE.  If you shake it, it will never clear up and will stay cloudy.  If you stir it (it takes a bit...like 5-7 minutes), it will eventually get evenly mixed in.  YES, it will start out looking like nothing is happening.  Just keep at it.  It's therapeutic, I promise!  And when you are done, and pour it into the jar and put the lid on, here's what you'll get...

Like I said before, if the pump is too wiggly you can now attach it with super glue.  A note on the glue, too--it MUST be super glue.  Other glues just won't work well. So, that's it!  Also, I used more than one color of glitter, but you could use one or a rainbow of colors--it all depends on you!  One last thing--if the glitter starts to settle too much, just give it a good stir and it will redistribute! :)

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my creation!  I hope that you try this fun project--it's a great fun and affordable handmade gift to give this season!  I also hope you join the fun in with the challenges I'm linking with.  You can find the list below my sig!  HUGS and MERRY crafting, all!

Inspired By Stamping: Christmas Gifts

You better not pout...you better not cry!  You better not shout, I'm tellin' you why!  Santa Claus is coming to town!!! Yep, he's on his way, and sometimes he needs some help for some special gifts made by hand.  I'm here with one such gift that I made using fabulous products from the Inspired By Stamping store!  It's a memory game that I made for my nieces...come take a peek!

I started by adding patterned paper to each tile.  I then added green or red paper to the back of each tile and it's opposite colored snowflake!  I added images stamped from the Build a Stocking set, the Christmas Wreath set, and the Sugar & Spice set.

I then decided to cover the box with the same papers I used on the tiles.  I also added a fun snowflake layered piece to the front and tied it all up with some ribbon.

I then decided to make a sweet little tag to add to the top of the box.  This one was made using a sentiment and image from the Sugar & Spice stamp set.  A bit of glitter and a few rhinestones finished the tag.

That's all for me today!  I hope you take a chance to go and grab our newest release from the store and, if you spend $50, you will get a free stamp set!  Also, come and join in the fun of our current challenge, too!  If you use products from the Inspired By Stamping store, link them up in the Customer Gallery as well!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!
