Hedgehog Wish

Hello again, friends! Thanks for stopping by today! I recently purchased some DARLING digital stamps from Lee Holland's Etsy Shop, and I took some time over this break to do some coloring and card making with them! Take a peek at today's offering...

I have to apologize for the mildly blurry photos. My camera is having issues and is driving me crazy. ;) I colored this darling hedgehog image using colored pencils, then added some Stickles for added texture and shine. The sentiment is by Paper Smooches. I punched it out and layered it with punches from Stampin' Up!, then added some bling!

The card was prepped with some patterned paper from Stampin' Up!, a doily from Doodlebug Designs, ribbon from The Stamps of Life, and a button and twine from my stash. I love the way this turned out, and I hope you do, too! I can't wait to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Thank you again for stopping by today! I hope you find some time to create and join these fun challenges this weekend! Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, all!

Minty Flower

It's spring break, so I am crafting for myself for the first time in quite a while! It has been so much fun getting back into my craft room, and I can't wait to share my creations with you over the next week or so. :) Today's card is a monochromatic mixed media CAS card...whew, that's a mouthful! Take a peek...

I'm currently trying to use my stash, so I stared by stamping my textures on the background using an old Bo Bunny stamp set with a variety of blue inks from Stampin' Up!. The floral images are a Martha Stewart stamp set that I've had for ages. The main flower was stamped three times and heat embossed, then cut and layered with dimensional foam. Some Stickles add more texture and shine to the center. Those glittery leaves were punched using retired Stampin' Up! punches and glitter paper from my scrap drawer. The sentiment was created by me on the computer, then cut out and blinged up with a few rhinestones.

I very much enjoy this card, even though it has a defect. Can you spot it? Do you still love it, regardless? I hope so! I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

TRCC: Challenge #3: Yummy Yellow

Hello, friends, and welcome to March! Is everyone ready for a change in seasons? I can't wait! Thank you so much to everyone who played along last month at The Rainbow Card Challenge, and here is this month's prompt...

Now, we really just want to see creations with an abundance of yellow. You don't have to necessarily go with the "yummy" theme or use the photos as your guide. Mostly monochrome, if you understand my meaning. For all the details about the "rules" (there are very few), you can see the challenge post! This post is about the card I made, so take a peek...

I pulled out a Fiskars stamp set that I bought years ago to create this fresh and fruity card! I added some patterned paper from The Stamps of Life, ribbon from Stampin' Up!, and layered the focal image with various pieces, including a doily from Doodlebug. I LOVE all the fun and sunny yellows with fresh white polka dots!

You KNOW how I love me a good pun! This is why I kept this set--the amazing puns! My hubby said he really liked this card, so I actually used it as his Valentine last month. ;)

I think this card turned out so fresh and funky, and I hope you like it, too! I would LOVE for you to let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Please come and join us this month at The Rainbow Card Challenge! I LOVE seeing what everyone creates! If you're looking for even more inspiration, you should take a peek at what the other amazingly talented gals on the design team have created, too!

TRCC: Challenge #1: Red Romance

Hello, friends, and HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you've had a wonderful and restful Christmas holiday and are looking forward to a beautiful and positive 2019! Last year was a bit of a struggle for me, personally, but I am back to blogging and SO excited to be posting my first creation for the *BRAND NEW* challenge I've started with my good friend, Jacqueline! It's called The Rainbow Card Challenge, and here is our first prompt...

Now, we really just want to see creations with an abundance of red. You don't have to necessarily go with the "romance" theme or use the photos as your guide. Mostly monochrome, if you understand my meaning. For all the details about the "rules" (there are very few), you can see the challenge post! This post is about the card I made, so take a peek...

I got out two fun sets from Close to My Heart from my stash (one currently on sale, one retired) for this card. The falling heart background is one stamp (on sale!), and the focal image and sentiment are from another. I used a variety of red materials to layer the focal heart, and backed it with some fun red washi tapes. Some black liquid pearls help to tie the sentiment to the image.

The sentiment was layered onto a red stamped image, then gone over with a glaze gel pen by Sakura for extra bling! I LOVE these fun brush stroke stamps and the sweet rhinestones that add more texture and shine!

I totally adore the way this creation turned out, and I hope you like it, too! I would LOVE for you to let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

CAS Flamingo

Hello, friends! I have been gone for far too long, and decided to take the opportunity to redo my blog and create a card this weekend! I am playing along with a few fabulous challenges, so I hope you'll join me! Here's the card...

I used dies, stamps, and ink from The Stamps of Life, Spectrum Noir markers, punches (retired?) from Stampin' Up! and miscellaneous bling to create this card. Here's a closer look at the details...

It was great to get back into my craft room and create! I think this turned out pretty cute, even if my skills are a bit rusty! What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Unicorn Birthday

Hi, friends! Thanks for stopping by today! I've been having fun getting out supplies that I haven't used and a few new things, too. For today's card, I used a new to me image from the Unicorn Birthday digital stamp set by Bugaboo. Take a peek...

I colored the sweet image with Spectrum Noir markers, then fussy cut it out. I used stamps and dies from The Stamps of Life to create the sentiment, then added some glitter gems, glitter paper, and textured ribbon for a bit more texture. The focal panel was added to a card base prepped with some pink paper pierced patterned paper (whew--how's that for alliteration?!) with a lavender mat.

I totally adore this creation, and hope you do, too! I can't wait to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
