Kennedy Grace Creations: Lovely Little Layers

Hi, all!  I have a CAS layered card to share with you today.  It uses some of the *NEWEST* products from the Kennedy Grace Creations store, and I decided to keep it relatively monochrome.  Take a peek...

This beautiful image is from the *NEW* Grace's Little Notes stamp set.  To create this effect, I layered three pieces of white cardstock.  I used removable adhesive to keep the smaller pieces in place, then stamped the floral image in black ink.  I then matted each piece and layered them with permanent and dimensional foam adhesives.  The centers were jazzed up with glitter, and a few sequins from the *NEW* Paris in Spring sequin mix add a bit more sparkle, shine, and finish to the image panel.

I wanted to keep the image the only important part of the card, so I chose to keep with black and white layers.  I used a subtle white glitter paper for just a bit more texture and shine.  I really love the way this turned out!  I hope you like it, too!  Please leave me a comment below and let me know what you think!

Thank you so very much for stopping by today!  I hope you go grab these beautiful products from the Kennedy Grace Creations store today--they are a beautiful addition to any stash!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends!

Inspired By Stamping: Black and White Layers

Hi, friends!  I'm back today to share an elegant monochromatic card, inspired by THIS CARD by Leah Cornelius and THIS CARD by Eva Bussom, that uses some fabulous stamps from Inspired By Stamping!  Check it out...

I used the *NEW* Cherry Blossoms stamp set for my image, and used the triple time stamping technique.  It's not as difficult as it looks...here are the steps:

1. Cut a piece of cardstock the size of your entire image.  Cut two or more other pieces that are smaller and can be layered onto the main panel.

2. Using re-positional adhesive, layer the smaller pieces of cardstock onto the larger one.

3. Stamp your image carefully onto the panels.  You may need to carefully turn it upside down so that you can get a good imprint.  Make sure you use a juicy stamp pad, too!

4. Mat your stamped panels.

5. Layer the panels together, adding dimensional foam to the desired smaller pieces to create more texture.

To create an even more layered feel to my card, I also added a sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Greetings set and popped it up like some of my image.

If you wanted to color in the image, you totally could!  You'd just need to keep the panel adhered together after step 3.  You would then color the image, then mat it.  This technique is SO fun and versatile!  All I had to do to embellish it was add some dry embossing, rhinestones, and ribbon from the Halloween Ribbon Collection!  I hope you like the final result!  Please leave me a comment below and let me know what you think!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends!  That's all I have for you today, but I'll be back soon with more inspiration using fabulous products from the Inspired By Stamping online store.  Until then, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

CASE-ing Christmas: Triple Time Stamping

Hi, friends!  I'm back today with another post to share our new challenge at CASE-ing Christmas!  We're using a past card of DT member Anita for our inspiration this time around...come and take a peek at it...

Isn't that super fun?!  I hadn't done any triple time stamping for quite some time, so I definitely knew that was going to factor into my CASE.  I also liked these colors, so I semi-CASEd those, too!  Come and check out my CASE...

These star images are from a Close To My Heart set.  I used red, green, and yellow ink to stamp them.  I LOVE the fun patterns in this set!

Next, I took a sentiment from a set I bought at a consignment sale a while back and added it. Luckily, that yellow star was in the PERFECT place.  I promise it wasn't planned.  As Bob Ross would say, "Happy accidents!". :)

I decided to use some enamel dots as my only other embellishments.  I LOVE this card, and it will mail very easily, so it's a win win!  What do you think about it?  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!  I appreciate your visits and sweet comments, and I'm sorry when I'm unable to return the favor.  I hope you come and join us at CASE-ing Christmas, and that you take some time to leave some love with the other fabulous gals on this DT, too!  Until next time, HUGS and MERRY stamping! :)

Hello again, Christmas crafters!  How are 2013's holiday cards coming?!  If you haven't even started--shame on you! ;)  Come and join us this week at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown for a holiday challenge and GET started!!!  This week we are wanting to see cards made with a technique...Triple Time Stamping!

Here's the inspiration button~
My card~
(Inadvertently inspired and CASEd our hostess-Ruth!)

Details~

I've used stamps from an unknown company (anyone know?!) and the rest of my supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

Erhm...I inadvertently CASEd our hostess's inspiration button card, lol!  It seemed like such a great idea and I could NOT remember where I'd seen it...until I added my card to the challenge post! HA!  Sorry, Ruth, but your inspiration was soaked into my brain!  I added some glitter glue around the edges of each panel to add some shine, but the photos don't do it justice.

Thanks for taking time to come and see my card!  I hope you join us this week--get a jump start on your holiday cards, folks!  Also, please take a little time to go and say hello to the other DT gals and see their fabulous creations as well!  Merry stamping! :)

Bad{ish} News Bears

So, my laptop will never return to me again.  The motherboard is fried.  It is dead.  I'm just hoping that  they can recover all my digital stamps.  And my digital scrapbooking stuff.  And my blog history.  And my LIFE.   Stupid technology. Stupid me for thinking technology was even remotely reliable.

And now for the positive side!  I get a new computer!  I do have to wait until Black Friday, but I'm kinda excited about that!  I also get an external hard drive to back up my stuff--I've needed this for a long time now! :)

So, anyway, I'm also having internet issues.  Sorry to not get to comment on as many blogs as I'd like and please don't be offended if you enter one of my challenges and do not get a comment from me.  It's been really hard just posting this!

I do have two cards to share with you.  And I'm hoping I'm able to link them up to the appropriate challenges!  Fingers crossed...

Here's card one~

Details~

For these fabulous challenges~

I used my Glue Pad to ink up the cupcake image and then used a fun bluish purple fine glitter from SU! to add some glam.  I paper pierced under the sentiment to add an anchor and then secured my pink and white main panels with eyelets.  Such fun!

Second card~

For these fabulous challenges~

(I've done the diagonal from orange down to white.
My "free" is triple time stamping!)

(YES.  It did take me less than 30 minutes!
I can't believe I've never done this technique before!)

This card is my first ever attempt at triple time stamping!  I must say, I was a bit worried that it would turn out well, but it did!  I've used three colors of orange ink from SU! and a sentiment and stamps from CTMH from the garage sale the other day.  I even decorated the inside!  Are you proud of me, Ruth?!  I know it's not the envelope as well, but it's more than usual! ;)

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my creations and to commiserate with me upon the loss of my beloved laptop.  I appreciate the time you take to stop and say hi!  Please join in these amazing challenges--I love seeing YOUR creations, too (when my technology allows)!  Happy stamping! :)
