Another Baby Wipe Card...

Here is another baby wipe reinker card! This time I chose primary colors: red, yellow and blue. Instead of doing the sentiments in the marblized colors, I chose a dark brown. If you'd like more information on HOW to do this fabulous technique, see my post here. Happy stamping!

Blended Birthday Card

This card uses two of my favorite techniques: dry embossing AND blender pens. :) It also fulfills one of my goals: to use up my scraps!!! Blender pens are fantastic to use when coloring in a lined image and the dry embossing gives the entire card a lot of dimension. I hope this inspires you to use something left over today to create a new fabulous creation! Happy crafting!

Baby Wipe Reinker Tutorial

So, I promised a tutorial about yesterdays card technique and here it is! This is one of my favorite techniques to use. It takes people's breath away trying to figure out HOW you did the marbling effect! And it's SO EASY!

Here's what you need:

*Reinkers

*Baby wipes
*Clear mount block (optional)
*Stamps
*Cardstock (white or cream works best)

Here's what you do with these things:

1. Place one baby wipe (folded up) onto your clear mount block. Take the lightest color of reinker and put random dots of it around the wipe.

2.Continue with other reinkers (lightest to darkest) until there is a "solid" block of color like this:

3. Ink up stamp by pressing directly into the ink firmly--DO NOT "tap" to ink up image. It has to be done in ONE "smush." :)

4. Stamp your image. It may look something like this:

5. Add to project:

Ta da! You're done! How easy is this?! I love it! I hope you take the time to do this technique and try all sorts of color combos! Happy stamping!

Less is More Week 22 I Got the Blues!

Here is my entry for this week's "Less is More" challenge. The challenge is to make a card using only shades of blue and it needs to be clean and simple. I used the baby wipe reinker technique on this card (tutorial to come). :) Happy Independence day, and happy stamping!

Freedom Goodies!

Hello, all! Here is my latest culinary craft! ;) I'm not a very good cook or baker, but Oreo truffles, YES. I CAN make those!

Here's the recipe
:

1. Combine 1 pkg. Oreo's (any flavor) and 1 8oz. pkg. cream cheese. Blend together to create a paste.

2. Refrigerate filling for about 1hr.

3. Make into balls and dip in chocolate.

UM, YEAH. That easy and OH SO GOOD!!!!!

Here are the details on my flag:
1. The red truffles are the NEW berry smoothie (or whatever) Oreo's

2. The white truffles are original Oreo's

3. The blue truffles are fudge filled Oreo's (the stars are made from white chips)
4. NOT PICTURED: green dipped MINT Oreo truffles (my fav, so I HAD to make some)

I hope you take the time to make something yummy for your Independence Day celebration! Happy baking!

OLW #60 REDO

Okay, I was NOT happy with my first submission, so here's my second try. Phew! I know they are really similar to the first OLW submission I posted, but I think these turned out better and are more vibrant and alive. I like the sentiment better as well. Also, I saw another OLW #60 submission that had scalloped edges, and I had to copy. ;D Plus, the ink is ACTUALLY layered, so I followed the rules better. Okay, I'm done with all the reasons why this submission is better!!! :) Happy stamping!
