Well hello again, bloggin' friends! Or fiends...whichever you prefer! ;D I was really excited to try out this week's technique challenge at Just Us Girls! The "theme" was TEXT ME, which describes me to a tee! I text...a lot...and I have unlimited texts thank goodness!
Anyway, the whole idea of this TEXT ME thing was to create your own background with different texts. SO....MUCH....FUN!!! I decided to make a Christmas card.
Because I'm really far behind making them.
And I know time is running out...
...yet I will continue to procrastinate.
Yep.
I will.
I will.
Here's my submission~

I used a giant rubber cling on stamp from Tim Holtz for the lightest layer of text. Then I used a random clear stamp with a cluster of words on it and stamped it randomly with a dark brown. Lastly, I stamped the Joyeux Noel in black Stazon. I roughed up the edges and then sponged them dark brown to give more depth to the background. I am pleased with the results!
The other part that I am extremely happy with is the sentiment.
Here's a closer look at it~

I stamped the image with gold and embossed it in gold. I sponged the edges with the dark brown again. Then, because it looked too plain, I backed it with four different punched scallop squares. And then I had to add bling!!!!! Because what is a Christmas card without just a little bling? Right? Maybe it's just me...
Anyway, thanks, ladies, for a fab technique challenge! Thank YOU for taking a peek--I appreciate you! I hope you've been inspired to experiment with something new to you today! Happy experimenting!
