You'd Better Not Pout!

Welcome to another edition of On A Stampage! Yep, it's another challenge card for your viewing pleasure! Tonight's card is being submitted to this week's CAS-ual Fridays #27 Challenge: Over the Edge!

So, what does "over the edge" mean? I means that you need to make a card (CAS style, of course!) that has something going over the edge of it!

Here's what I came up with~

Close ups~

So, what do you think? It was super simple to make! Just two pieces of patterned paper and a strip of white cardstock dry embossed with a never used folder. Then the glitter...then the sentiment. Isn't that a cute sentiment?! It is from 7 Gypsies. :) Anywho, I thought it was a very fun challenge and I may be making more submissions! Hope you'll join us!

Thanks for coming over to my section of the web to take a peek--you make my day! Happy over the edging! ;D

Pastel Case Study

Well, it's a new month! Yep, November! It's a good month for me. :) Four days off work, wedding anniversary, and good food that I don't have to cook! The joys of living near both sets of parents... *sigh*

So, anyway, back to my original chain of thought! November! New month! Man, I resolved not to use so many {!}. Guess I'll just have to renig on that resolution, because I L-O-V-E them!!!!! Wow...I am having serious problems focusing...

NOVEMBER. NEW MONTH. And that means...new Case Study subject!!! This month, it is the very talented Kryssi Ng from her blog, Sugar Buffet. Pop on over and check her out--she's amazing!!!

Here's the card we're casing this month~
Isn't it gorgeous!? Well, I do not have any die cuts or even a die cut machine. I've been draggin' my feet about which to buy...so many options...so many choices...so many decisions to make about what I want. Sooo....the point of that statement is that I could not make such a fabulous open area as Krissy. BUT, I do have a TON of punches!!! So, I grabbed one that looked similar to the shape of Krissy's and grabbed some paper and started stamping.

I decided to kind of do a "negative" effect of Krissy's card...meaning I used mainly black cardstock instead of white. And instead of lined stamps, I used solids. See? "Negative"/opposite effect! :)

Here's my final product~I call it Pastel Thank You~

Isn't is cute! I really liked how it turned out! Yes, I added glitter. I am a glitter addict. Problem? ;D I thought it just needed a little somethin' since it's a smaller area of image.

Here's a closer look~

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek! I hope you like my try at Krissy's style--it was fun! Thanks for another great challenge, Casin' ladies! I cannot wait to see what you've got for us next week! Happy casing!!! :D

MMM Design Team Call / Simons Says BUTTONS!

Well, I have to say that I am a bit nervous about this post. Well, maybe a lot nervous! One of my absolute favorite challenge blogs, Make My Monday, has sent out a Deezine Team Call! I would absolutely L-O-V-E to be on the Deezine Team! All of the challenges are fabulous--I have been challenged to branch out of my comfort zone and have found some absolutely fabulous ideas from the other participants, including the current Deezine Team. Everyone is so very nice and friendly and I just would love to join in the fun in a different role! It would be such an honor to be chosen--it would make my day, week, month, year, life! ;D

The theme for the DT call challenge is to create a card or a project based on the theme "Celebration." Wow. Very broad. At first I thought about making a card for my niece who will be 3 this month. I made it, loved it, but thought it wasn't good enough. I'll post it later...

So, I was in a bad way. I was so worried that I wouldn't figure out what to make! And then, like a ray of lightning from heaven, it hit me. MY WEDDING ANNIVERSARY is in NOVEMBER. And I love my husband so. He is my everything! He is my reason for celebrating every day! And so, I decided to create a card for my wedding anniversary for my husband.

Now, on to the card. I used a stamp set from Technique Tuesday called "In a Word-Love". I purchased this stamp set a l-o-n-g time ago...I cannot even remember when. I think it's probably retired by now.

Anywho...here's the card~Celebration of Love~

What do you think? I took a lot of time to make sure that it turned out exactly how I imagined it. I used gold ink and gold embossing powder for the sentiment.

Here's a closer look~

I added the flowers with button centers to compliment all the colors of the framing panels of cardstock. I also wanted to offset the gold sentiment on the other side of the card with something else gold. I chose gold elastic cording.

Take a closer look~

I love glitter (Really?! You hadn't noticed?! ;D) and so I had to have it somewhere on the card. I embossed the River Rock panel with a dry embossing folder and then turned it over and filled in the recessed portions with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

See it better here~

Well, I couldn't just stop there. There's an inside to every card! So, I decorated the inside with more gold embossing.

Here's the inside panel~

And a close up of the inside sentiment~

Yes, it says "You are my angel." My husband truly is an angel sent from heaven to save me in so many ways. I feel so incredibly blessed to be married to him--he is my heart and soul. I love him so! Happy anniversary, darling! I can't wait to see what eternity brings!

So, what are your reactions? What are your thoughts? I am happy with it. I wish I could be ecstatic with it, but I am seriously too nervous. I hope it's acceptable!

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look--I really appreciate all of you who choose to spend time here on my blog! I hope that you come and join us at Make My Monday each week for another fabulous challenge! I am the Guest Design Team Member for November and we have a fantastic challenge theme for the month! See you there! Happy crafting!!!

***I am also submitting this card into the Simon Says Stamp: Buttons Challenge.***

OLW: Tag--You're It!

Good evening....that sounds a bit dramatic and menacing, doesn't it?! I use "hello" too much on this blog...I need a new opening statement. I'll work on it.

Anywho...One Layer Wednesday!!! This week's challenge is entitled "Tag--You're It!" Can you guess what the challenge is?! That's right! We were challenged to make a one layer tag!!!

Well, with Christmas coming up, this was the perfect opportunity to create some gift tags for presents!

Here's the first one I finished~

Close up of the detail~

Isn't it pretty? I love the traditional colors (even though I tend to go towards non-traditional colors for holiday cards and things) because the red really POPS!!!

Well, I had another sentiment in this set from Bo Bunny, so I decided to use it as well!

Here's my second tag~

I hope you think they are as neat as I do! I just love them and am excited to give them away this holiday season. Another note, I feel as though I use WAY too many {!}. I am trying to cut back. It is really hard. I almost typed on at the end of that sentence! And there I go again...

Anyway, I hope you come and play along with us! Happy tagging!!!

LIM: Christmas Stars

I'm keepin' this short and sweet (because Less is More, right?!)...

This week at Less Is More, the challenge is to create a CAS style card with stars.

Here's mine (Christmas Star Trio)~

And a closer look at some details~

That's all, folks! Thanks for popping over! Won't you come and play with us? Happy stamping! :)

Autumn Leaves

Oh, how I love the autumn! The trees are amazing! So pretty...it makes my drive to and from work so much more pleasant!

Here's an example of something similar to what I see while driving around our area~

Stunning, isn't it?! And so, imagine my excitement to see that the challenge over at Make My Monday this week is to create a project with the theme of Autumn Leaves! Oh, I was so excited!

Now, I have been trying to create more than one card for each challenge, but I have not had time this week. Why? Because I have been asked by the owner of Make My Monday to join their design team as a guest for the month of November! So, I've been very busy getting my cards ready for that! I hope that you'll join us--it is going to be a FABULOUS theme! :)

Well, anywho, here is my card~

I dug around in my odds and ends box and found some fun accessories to add--a nice large paper polka dotted bracket and a fabulous scallop circle--perfect for stamping my autumn leaf on! Did you notice the glitter? It's a bit hard to see...

Here's a close up of the leaf so you can see it better~

And since we are close here in the USA to our Thanksgiving holiday, and since I have joined the Gratitude Challenge, I used a thanksgiving sentiment.

Here's a close up of the sentiment~

What do you think? I think that the patterned paper mimics the vibrant colors of autumn leaves. I'm quite pleased with the overall results!

Thank you for stopping by--you make my day when you pop over! :) I hope you join us at Make My Monday! Happy stamping! :)

Life is Good!

I have to tell you, I am feeling pretty good today! I have been given some super awesome blog honors lately! I was asked to be the November Make My Monday Guest Design Team Member, I was awarded the Versatile Blogger Award, AND the Butterfly Award! Thank you to all of you who have chosen to care for me and my blog--you totally rock my world!

SOOOOOO....in honor of all these honors (is that redundant?!), I have created a card to show off my feelings! :) There will be lots of bling. Because when I'm in a good mood, I get out the bling! Oh, and lots of glitter. Yes...I had a GRI.

Okay, I am gonna show you the card...in a bit! First, I want to tell you what fabulous challenges I will be posting to! :)

My colors are completely the doing of CR84FN!
Look at this gorgeous inspiration~

The other challenge I'd like to post to is Wee Memories: Brads, Buttons, or Bows~

Both are simply fabulous challenge blogs--look them up and come play along with us!!!

Okay, now my card~

Did you notice all that bling?!~

And the sentiment?~

So, whadya think?! I have to say, I love it! My DH said it was one of his favorites, which always brings a smile to my face! Thank you--all of you--for stopping by! I really appreciate the time you've taken to stop by my little blog! I hope you've been inspired to create today! LIFE IS GOOD!!! Embrace it! Happy creating!!!
