Great Impressions Stamps: Have a Heart

I used a dry embossing folder by Sizzix, a sentiment by an unknown company, the white heart rhinestone is by Prima, the red heart rhinestone is by Studio 112, a Sakura red glitter gelly roll pen for some shine, the twine is from my stash, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

I was totally inspired by the hearts, the cut out section of Debby's card, and the patterned paper beneath it.  The dry embossing with white "distressing" also caught my eye and so I used these and the same love theme to create my CASE! MMM: Inspired by Persuasion

Hi, folks!  Hope your month is started out nicely and that you're happy and healthy!  What a blessing if that was the case for all of us, right?  Anyway, we've got another new challenge for you over at Make My Monday and guess what?  I'm the hostess!!!  I'd like you to be inspired by a book/book cover.  I've chosen "Persuasion" by Jane Austen!!!

A little bit about the book~

This classic was written in the early nineteenth century by Jane Austen.  The main character is Anne Elliot.  Anne has previously been wealthy, but her father and sister have wasted their fortune after her mother passed away.  She has also previously found true love.  She rejected it because the man was a lowly and poor sailor and Anne was counseled by a trusted mother figure not to marry him.  BUT, he's BACK and has made a fortune in the war against Napoleon.  Now her family thinks him a sort of catch--she's the only genuine person in a group of snobs.  She knows she made a mistake and has faithfully loved him the past 8 years.  But now she's a "spinster" at the old age of 27.  Will she and Captain Wentworth finally be able to be together?  I won't tell.  You'll have to read it! ;)

Some play time...

I took the opportunity to play around for a little bit in my craft area.  I kinda mighta gone to the craft store today to get some things for a stash swap I'm participating in and I kinda mighta spent more money than I should've on things I kinda mighta really "needed" and now need to justify, lol!  Namely, some Prima stamps!!!  I've got 2 cards to show you using stamps that have never seen ink until today!

CAS-ual Fridays: Love Letters

This card utilizes a Bo Bunny bingo stamp and a random alphabet stamp set by I don't know who.  I used Sakura Gelly Roll pens to add shine to the letters I and U and the glitter paper is by Recollections.  The heart is a Martha Stewart Punch and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.
