LOVE Shaker Card

Hi, friends!  Ready for a fun Valentine?  I have a super fun idea for you all--it's a flip-it shaped shaker card, and it uses some FUN products from The Stamps of Life!  Take a peek...

As soon as I saw the Love/Heart Dies, I KNEW I wanted to make a shaker card with them!  They just screamed it!  I paired these dies with some paper from the Love Story Collection Patterned Paper Pad and added glitter to the sentiment portion of the die.

I kept the inside of the card simple with more of the same patterned paper!  I LOVE this fun Sizzix Large Circle #4 Flip-Its set!  It really makes a cute card easy as pie! :)

I added some seam binding ribbon and a clear rhinestone flower to finish off the card, as well as a few rhinestones for added shimmer and shine. :)  I think this is a super fun Valentine to give to a friend--and the BEST part is that these dies make an A2 card, which is easy to mail!!!  What do you think of my card?  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

I'm entering this card into these fabulous challenges~

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends!  I appreciate your visits and kind words!  I hope you take some time to join in the fun with these fabulous challenges!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Great Impressions: Love You a Ton

Happy Monday, friends!  I'm back with another creation that uses some super fun stamps from the Great Impressions online store.  I've got a sweet jungle themed Valentine for you today, at least I hope you can tell it's kind of jungle themed!  Come and see...

I colored the image, F571 Heart Struck Elephant, using colored pencils to keep it soft.  I added some faux stitching around it to add a bit more texture.  I backed the image with black cardstock to help make the image panel stand out from the soft pink patterned paper.

I colored in the small hearts of the sentiment, B238 A Ton, with colored pencils, too.  I punched it and layered it with black cardstock as well.  The shape is really fun--I think it adds more interest instead of keeping it square or rectangular.

For more texture, I added some cheesecloth, more faux stitching, silk ribbon roses, and fake leaves.  I think the leaves kind of look jungle like...I hope you agree!  I think this card is totally darling, what about you?  I'd love for you to let me know what you think in the comments below!

That's all for me today, friends.  THANK YOU so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Get Well Lily

Hi, friends!  I've been a bit under the weather, and so I'm sharing a "Get Well Soon" card to say thank you to all of those who have asked about me!  It's so nice to know that this community is so supportive and kind. :)  This card uses some fun products from The Stamps of Life.  Take a peek...

The beautiful lily and lily pad were made using the stamps from the lily4me stamp set.  I stamped the lined flower image in Guava ink onto Candy cardstock, then fussy cut it.  I heat embossed the lily pad image with frosty/iridescent embossing powder on top of some Ocean cardstock, then fussy cut it out.

The sentiment is one of the *NEWEST* dies from The Stamps of Life--the Get Well Die Set!  I LOVE that it is the sentiment AND the shadow--it makes layering and crafting SUPER quick and easy!

These elements and other bits of embellishment were added to a Sizzix Playful Stand-Ups card base.  I LOVE the way it turned out--I think the colors are super pretty!  What do you think?  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

I'd like to enter my card into these fabulous challenges~

Great Impressions: January 2016 Challenge "Lovey Dovey"

Hey, all!  It's time for another monthly challenge over at Great Impressions!  Our theme is "Lovey Dovey", and we want to see creations with a Valentine theme and/or a bird on it!  Check out my creation...

I decided to keep my card very CAS.  I used H278 Fun Coffee Cup for my image.  I stamped it directly onto the card base, paper pieced it, added some Glaze gel pan accents, and added a fun layered Valentine piece.

I decided to add my sentiment on a strip of vellum.  This one is D459 Sweetest Dreams.  I stamped it in black Staz-on ink, then stapled it to the card base.  A few enamel dots help to keep the vellum in place, too.

The last step was to add some fun papers, crocheted trim, and sequin trim to the bottom of the card.  I did this to anchor everything and add some fun texture and shine.  I LOVE the way this turned out!  I think it's so cute, and I hope you do, too!  Please leave me a comment below to let me know what you think! :)

House of Cards: Embossing and/or Color Inspiration

Hello, all!  Happy 2016! :)  I hope you're all ready for a *NEW* year and *NEW* challenge at House of Cards!  Our first one is to use embossing or be inspired by this color scheme...

a door tones

I added some embossing and then decided to also utilize the colors in the inspiration.  Check out my finished creation...

I used a sentiment from the Stencil in the Roses set from MHKDesigns for this card.  I added some fake roses, rhinestones, and gold elastic and green patterned ribbon trim.  To keep with a textured look, I added some distressed paper, faux stitching, and an embossed paper border.

I really love how this card turned out, and I hope you do, too!  I would love to hear your thoughts, so please leave me a comment below.  I appreciate each and every one of them. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today to take a peek at my card!  I hope you come and join the fun with us at House of Cards.  Don't forget to check out the AMAZING design team work, too!  They always blow me away with their creativity, and we have some new gals joining us this term who need some extra love!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping to you all!
