MHKDesigns: January Challenge

Hello, everyone!  I am SUPER excited to announce that we are having our FIRST EVER challenge over at MHKDesigns!  We have a really pretty photo/color inspiration for you this month, and I can't wait to see what you create with it!  Take a peek at the inspiration...

Isn't that so pretty?!  I was inspired by the colors and the flowers in the photo for my creation.  I used a few different products from the MHKDesigns store, too.  Here's my completed card...

The roses on this card are from the Simple Rose set.  I colored them with Spectrum Noir markers, added a bit of glittery goodness, and the fussy cut them out before adding them to my card base.  I used shades of pink for the bloom and turquoise for the leaves.

The sentiment is from the Stencil in the Roses set.  I layered it onto some dark brown cardstock, then added a bit of faux stitching.  I think it looks SO PRETTY nestled into the roses and surrounded by fun embellies!

The patterned paper for the card base is from the Autumnal Accents Paper Pack.  I did more faux stitching to tie in the sentiment, as well as added some leaves, cheesecloth, a doily half (nearly covered, lol), some rhinestones, and fun buttons.  I really love the way this card turned out, and I hope you do, too!  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you hop over to join in our monthly challenge at MHKDesigns!  There are prizes for each one, and you can use any products you'd like! :) Don't forget to leave some love with the other gals on this wonderful DT, too!

I'll be back soon with more creations using MHKDesigns products!

Until then, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Stitched Strawberries

Hi, friends!  Happy Tuesday! :)  I hope you're warmer than I am here--it's been SO cold, with an even colder wind chill.  And now that the obligatory weather chit chat has been gotten out of the way... ;)  I have a fun card to share with you--and it uses some of the *NEWEST* dies from The Stamps of Life!  Take a peek...

To create the fun layers on this card, I used the *NEW* Stitched Rectangle Dies!  These dies are AMAZING--it's a set of NINE--and they layer perfectly onto an A2 size card!  I added some gingham ribbon to accent one of the layers, but look at the wonderful deep stitch you get!

For my focal section, I used the Strawberry Club Dies and the morestrawberries2stamp set.  I LOVE the fabulous texture you get with these dies, and the sentiments are punny and fabulous!  I added a few Strawberry Goosebumps for more texture and a fun, too.

I LOVE this sweet card, and I hope you do, too!  I think it would be PERFECT for a Valentine, but it really could be used for any occasion, don't you think?  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

I'd like to enter this card into these fabulous challenges~

Thank you so much for stopping by today to take a peek at my card!  That's all I have for you today, but I hope you take some time to join in the fun with these fabulous challenges and create something!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping! :)

Great Impressions: Quill You Be Mine?

Happy Monday, friends!  I'm back with another creation that uses some super fun stamps from the Great Impressions online store.  Today I'm sharing a Valentine with a cute critter and punny sentiment--MY FAVE!  Take a peek...

I stamped the image, E825 Spikey the Porcupine, directly onto the kraft card base, then colored it in with colored pencils. He is such a cutie, don't you think?!  I then stamped the sentiment, D475 Stuck on You, with red ink onto the card base.  A few rhinestones were added for some shine and texture.

I then added some fun patterned papers and stitched ribbon to the bottom of the card to anchor my little porcupine guy.  He is such a doll, and I LOVE him!  I hope you like my finished product, too!  I'd love for you to leave me a comment below to let me know what you think!

That's all for me today, friends.  THANK YOU so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

I used little Sophie and the Sophie Sweet Cut die, along with the I Pick You stamp set to create my little paper doll.  I colored her skin and hair with Spectrum Noir markers, then paper pieced the outfit and finished it off with some red and white Glaze gel pens.

The fun doily heart was made using the *NEW* With Love Sweet Cuts die, the Be Happy Sweet Cuts dies, and a sentiment from the I Pick You stamp set.  I added a smattering of Sugar Sprinkle Sequins for some added shine, as well as going along with the floral theme.

Some fun patterned paper, fake flowers, and faux stitching finished off this sweet card.  I REALLY adore the way this turned out!  I hope you agree!  Please do leave me a comment below to let me know what you think! :)
