Hippo Bird-day!

Hi, all!  I'm back today with a fun CAS birthday card that uses some of the *NEWEST* stamps from The Stamps of Life!  I think it turned out super cute, and I hope you'll agree!  Take a peek...

This card uses the *NEW* hippo2stamp set.  I think the images in this set are TOTALLY darling!  I stamped the hippo and bird directly onto the card base, using tone on tone, and then added a few rhinestones for some sparkle and shine.

The sentiment was stamped, then added on top of some layered papers from the Love Story Collection Patterned Paper Pad.  I think this color combo is super fun, and the fact that it's so versatile makes this paper pad a fabulous deal!

The last step was to add some ribbon up top!  I think this is super fun, and I hope you agree!  I would LOVE to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

I'm adding my card to these fabulous challenges~

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you take a bit of time to join in the fun with these fabulous challenges!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping to you all! :)

Great Impressions: Love Sentiment

Hi, friends!  It's Monday, and that means it's time for me to share some inspiration using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  We are currently sponsoring the Aud Sentiments "Love Sentiment" challenge, so I'm sharing the card I made for that challenge with you today...

I used a *NEW* sentiment today--H280 Love & Happiness.  I LOVE how large this sentiment is, so I just stamped it onto vellum, then colored in the hearts with a red glitter gel pen for some color and shine.  I attached it to some patterned paper with staples so that you don't see the pesky adhesive line.

I decided to keep the embellishments simple, so a single paper rose (thank you, Cohenna!), a red glittery foam heart, and a few black rhinestones were added to the side. A few green leaves were used to make the flower look more real and add a POP of extra color.

I did some fun angled layering to create more of an eye catching design, and it looks exactly what I was hoping for!  I hope you like it, too!  Please leave me a comment below and let me know your thoughts!

That's all for me today, friends.  THANK YOU so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I also would love for you to come and join the Aud Sentiment challenge, as well as our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Great Impressions: February Monthly Challenge: Let's Celebrate!

Hi, friends!  It's time for another monthly challenge at Great Impressions, and we are asking you to CELEBRATE!  Any card that celebrates ANYTHING goes this month.

Since it's February, love is on my mind. ;) I made a shabby chic Valentine/Anniversary card to share with you for this challenge.  Take a peek..

I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment, E859 Heart Forever Yours, on some vellum, then added some white Glaze gel pen and Stickles to the heart.

I accented the sentiment with some paper flowers (some made by the lovely Cohenna), buttons, enamel dots, and rhinestones.  I also added some black leaves to tie in the colors I was going for.

My kraft card base was prepped with some floral patterned paper that I faux stitched, and a fun layered heart doily die cut from kraft cardstock and pink glitter paper.  I LOVE the way this turned out, and I hope you do, too!  I can't wait to hear what you think in the comments below!

That's all for me today, friends.  THANK YOU so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Sweetest Blessing

Hi, friends!  I'm back to share an ALMOST one layer card using some beautiful stamps from Red Rubber Designs!  I was inspired by the upcoming Valentine's holiday when creating this card.  I also wanted to create a fun layered stamped collage with some fun colors.  Did I succeed???  You tell me...

To start, I stamped the rose image from the Rosa set.  I colored it with bright pink and green markers before stamping it.  I then added some light gray with a stamp from the Vintage Postage set and some turquoise with a stamp from the Vintage Backgrounds set.  After stamping that, I stamped the sentiment, from the Joyful Notes set, onto vellum.  I added that with staples to hold it in place, then added some pink rhinestones.

The finishing touch was some pink gingham ribbon up top.  I think this turned out to be a very pretty card, and I hope you agree!  I would love to hear your thoughts about it in the comments below!

I'm entering this card into these fabulous challenges~

That's all for me today, friends!  Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek! I hope you join in the fun with these fabulous challenges.  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Great Impressions: Owl-ways Friends!

Hi, friends!  It's Monday, and that means it's time for me to share some inspiration using stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  I made a fun card with a friendship theme for you today...check it out...

This card uses two *NEW* stamps.  The image is H282 Loveable Owl.  I stamped the image, did some watercoloring, wasn't fond of the way the owl turned out, so fixed that with some paper piecing and dimensional foam--I think he turned out TOTALLY darling!  I added some flower shaped sequins and Liquid Pearls to the centers of the flowers for added shine and dimension.  Some yellow enamel dots helped pull more brightness and yellow onto the card, as well.

The sentiment, E888 Owl Be Your Friend, is absolutely PERFECT for this image!  I stamped it in a bright blue color to match the eyes of the owl.  Isn't this font fabulous?!

I added some faux stitching to my focal panel, then added it to a kraft card base prepped with some fun floral patterned paper.  I think this turned out super cute, and I hope you agree!  I'd love for you to leave me a comment below to let me know your thoughts!

House of Cards: Shaped Cards

Hello, hello!  Happy Monday and Happy February!  It's time for a new challenge at House of Cards, and we have a fun one for you!  We're asking you to "SHAPE UP"!  That means shaped cards--anything other than square or rectangle!

I decided to not only do a shaped card, but a shaped EASEL card--because they are SO fun to make!  They are easiest to do when you use nesting dies, and that's what I did this month.  Take a peek...

I used some digital paper from the Stenciled Roses pack and an image from the Stencil in the Roses set from MHKDesigns, along with a sentiment from a retired Stampin' Up! set.  A few pearls and some Stickles were the only finishing touches I added.

I think this would be the perfect accent on a desk for a daily reminder.  I actually think that's what I'll keep it and use it for!  I hope you like my card, too!  Please leave me a comment below to let me know your thoughts. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you take some time to join our challenge and check out the inspiration from the rest of the DT, too!  They ALWAYS inspire me, and I know they'll do the same thing for you, too!  I'll be back again soon with more paper crafted projects to share with you.  Until then, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)
