MHKDesigns: April Challenge

Hello, everyone!  I am back today with another card for our new challenge over at MHKDesigns!  We have a really pretty photo/color inspiration for you this month, and I can't wait to see what you create with it!  Take a look at the inspiration...

Isn't that beautiful?!  I know that some of you are heading from summer into fall, while others of us are moving from winter into spring, so I went with something I felt could go either way.  I chose to use the *NEW* Fruit Borders set for my creation.  Take a peek...

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers, then added some shine and texture with Stickles.  A few navy pearls add a bit more depth of color to the image.  Some cheesecloth was added for even more texture and to go with the vintage feel of the image.

I added some paper from the Sunflower Sampler digital paper pack to the card base, then added a teal doily and some deep red seam binding ribbon up top for more color.  I LOVE the way this card turned out, and I hope you do, as well!  Please leave me a comment below to let me know your thoughts!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you hop over to join in our monthly challenge at MHKDesigns!  There are prizes for each one, and you can use any products you'd like! :) Don't forget to leave some love with the other gals on this wonderful DT, too!

Inspired By Stamping: Flamingo

Hey, everyone!  I am SUPER excited to get to share creations made using the *NEWEST* acrylic stamps from Inspired By Stamping!  Today we are featuring the *NEW* Flamingo set.  Take a peek at my card...

This set is SO super darling!  I stamped the main bird image in a light pink and yellow (legs), then stamped the wing in a darker pink ink.  I added some black Glaze gel pen to the beak.  The sentiment was stamped in black, then stamped in gray for a shadow.  A few rhinestones were added for some shine and sparkle.

I kept this card CAS, so a strip of patterned paper was the only think I added to the focal panel.  I think this is super summery and fun, and I hope you do, too!  I can't wait to read your comments to hear what you think of this creation!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends!  That's all I have for you today, but I'll be back tomorrow with more inspiration using *NEW* and fabulous products from the Inspired By Stamping online store.  Until then, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Inspired By Stamping April 2016 Release:

MHKDesigns: Perfect Poppies

It's time for a new release at MHKDesigns and the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop has been stocked with the new digital stamp set and digital paper packs!  Today we are showcasing the *NEW* Perfect Poppies set.  Take a peek at what I made...

I colored the image from the Perfect Poppies set with Spectrum Noir markers.  I then added liquid pearls for the centers and Stickles for shine and texture on the leaves.  A few white pearls were added for more finish, as well.

This sentiment is one of my favorites, but the Perfect Poppies set comes with five total sentiments, including some for sympathy situations.  I try to make these sets versatile so you get more bang for your buck. ;)

This could technically have been a one layer card, but I didn't want the marker to show through the card, so I did some simple black matting.  I think this is very elegant--what do you think?  I would love for you to leave me a comment below to let me know!

Inspired By Stamping: Magnolias

Hey, everyone!  I am SUPER excited to get to share creations made using the *NEWEST* acrylic stamps from Inspired By Stamping!  Today we are featuring the *NEW* Magnolias set.  Take a peek at my card...

I started by heat embossing one of the gorgeous images from the *NEW* Magnolias set onto some white cardstock.  I then watercolored the image and added a heat embossed sentiment from the same set and some pink glass dots.

I decided to add some texture to the card base, so I used some light blue glitter paper and cheesecloth.  I matted everything in black so that all the colors and shine would POP.  I really REALLY love this card, and I hope you do, too!  Please leave me a comment below to let me know what you think!

Inspired By Stamping April 2016 Release:

MHKDesigns: With This Ring

It's time for a new release at MHKDesigns and the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop has been stocked with the new digital stamp set and digital paper packs!  Today we are showcasing the *NEW* With This Ring set.  Take a peek at what I made...

This set is full of vintage wedding goodness!  I used this beautiful image of a groom giving his bride her wedding band from the With This Ring set for my elegant creation.  I did some selective coloring with a gold Wink of Stella pen.  I went with a black, white, cream, and gold scheme to keep with the Victorian theme.  Some pearls and lovely paper flowers accent the focal portion of my card.

A black doily, gold trimmed cream satin ribbon and shimmery patterned paper finished this creation off.  I really love the way it turned out--how about you?  I can't wait to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
