House of Cards: Color Inspiration and/or Add Sequins!

Hello, all! It's time for another challenge at House of Cards and I am seriously excited about the inspiration we have this month for you! We're asking you to add sequins to your cards, be inspired by our color board, or BOTH! Take a peek at the colors we have this month...

I was inspired by both challenge aspects. I created a fun one layer card using Photoshop, and then I added sequins around the border! Here's the complete card...

I LOVE this sentiment--I am going to have either a bulletin board, door decorated, or poster made to have in my classroom with it! I also think the two fonts I used are fun and whimsical together. :)

I chose to add AB clear and black sequins only so that the colors of the border I designed would stand out. A few liquid pearls add a bit more texture and shine, as well.

Paper Sweeties Challenge - May 2017 Anything goes!

Hello, friends, and happy May! I am excited to share with you that I am going to be a guest for Paper Sweeties from May through July! Debbie was sweet enough to ask me back, and I am thrilled to get to work with her and the gals on this team again for a few months! It's time for the May monthly challenge, and there is a lovely photo inspiration for you. Take a peek...

I was totally inspired by those beautiful blooms and vintage looking buttons. I decided to use the Pretty Posies stamps and Pretty Posies Sweet Cuts dies to create my card. Here it is...

Debbie was kind enough to allow me to use the *SOON TO BE RELEASED* Scallop Circle Sweet Cuts dies on this card, as well! These will be MUST HAVES once they are released in a few weeks!

Some dry embossing, faux stitching, ribbon, and a sentiment from the Somewhere Over the Rainbow stamp set finish off this card. I hope you like it! I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

MHKDesigns: Happy Birthday!

Hello, my friends!  I don't know about you, but this month has been SUPER busy! So, what better to share with you today than a card that was SUPER quick and easy to make--but also looks bright and cheerful?! That's what I've got for ya, and it uses this month's FREEBIE PANEL from the MHKDesigns blog!  Take a peek...

This card uses an image and sentiment from the NEWLEY RELEASED "And Many More" digital stamp set from the MHKDesigns Etsy shop. I decided to keep this card simple and NOT add color to the time. Instead, I added it with embellishments and paper from the Radiant Rainbows digital paper pack!

I totally adore the way this turned out--and it would be SUPER easy to make this masculine, as well! Just change the embellies and papers! What do you think?!  I can't wait to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

MHKDesigns: Sea Creatures

Hello, friends!  Welcome to the April 2017 Release for the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop!  I have 5 fabulous *NEW* sets to share this month--and they cover a variety of occasions!  I just know you will LOVE all the creations that my team and I have to share, as well!  Today's set is called...

Sea Creatures

And here is my card trio~

Just like yesterday's set, I utilized Photoshop to create these bubbly and summery card panels. I decided to use the same layout but change the colors. This time, I started with a mixed color palette, but using the settings in Photoshop I created three unique color combos. Keeping the main elements white helps them stand out, but not change color. :)

I added some embossing paste through a stencil to create some bubbles. To go along with the circular bubble theme, I added some stamping using bubble wrap and rhinestones. Some enamel "splatter" stickers add a wet texture to this awesome card set. So, what are your thoughts? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

Once again, I utilized Photoshop to create these fun card panels. I decided to use the same layout but change the colors. This is easy peasy when you use the hue controls! I started with a more cool palette, but using the settings in Photoshop I created three unique color combos. I love them all!

I added some liquid pearls, glitter gel pen, and neon gel pen as my embellishments to the image and sentiment. A few enamel chevron pieces were added as finishing touches on each card. So, what are your thoughts on this card set? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)
