Pretty Peonies

Hello, friends! I decided it's been FAR too long since I sat down and crafted, so I took a bit of time to do just that today! I used some products that I purchased a few months ago, but still hadn't used. Yep. These stamps were just WAITING to be inked! Here's my completed card...

I used the Large Peonies stamp set from Spellbinders for my florals. I colored the peonies in with colored pencil, then fussy cut them out and popped them up over the leaf images. I added a bit of bling from Darice and a sentiment from a set from Michael's. I added some shimmer with Sakura gel pen ink on the sentiment and in the center of the large flower (the yellow).

I honestly adore the way these blooms turned out! What do you think about them? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

TRCC #11: Magically Metallic

Hello, my friends! Happy November! I am getting so excited for the holiday season, and I hope you are experiencing joy and gratitude each day, as well! I definitely wanted to go Christmas/holiday with this challenge. I have been sorting through things at home (thank you, Marie Kondo!), and I came across my poinsettia dies from Spellbinders. That had never been opened or used. WHAT?! Yep, had them for years! So, it was time for them to take center stage. Here is my completed card...

I used gold glitter paper, gold/silver lattice glitter paper, gold metallic paper, and pearlized paper to continue the shine and splendor of this card. I wanted to add a sentiment, so I opted to use one from a set (maker unknown) that also had rarely been used, and heat embossed it! I then punched it out with a punch from Stampin' Up!.A few gold embellishments from Close to My Heart finished this off.

So, do you think that I was able to create an elegant, yet CAS creation? I think I did--and I am looking forward to giving this away! I would love to hear your thoughts, as well! Please do leave me some feedback in the comments below!

TRCC #10: Brazenly Black

Hi, friends! Happy October! I think I'm finally getting into a routine at work again, and loving every moment! I am so grateful that I still am able to craft and share what I make each month for The Rainbow Card Challenge! This month's challenge is all about BLACK! Take a peek...

I TOTALLY went Halloween this month! I love the autumn/fall season, and Halloween is so much fun as a teacher! I grabbed some stamps from Great Impressions to create my card. Here is the completed creation...

I heat embossed the sentiment and simply stamped the mummy with black ink on white paper and cut him out. I used stitched circle dies from The Stamps of Life to create my circle motif, then added paper and sequins from my stash, along with a few rhinestones from Doodlebug Designs.

I am so pleased with this card! It came out better than what I had in my mind, which is always a plus! What do YOU think? I would LOVE to hear your opinion in the comments below!

A friend of mine gave me some mini composition notebooks back in May, and they TOTALLY scream Back to School to me! I altered two of them using the Passport to School digital kit as well as these Library Cards from Taylormadecards4u!

This is a quick and easy project for any book lover--a magnetic bookmark! I used a paper and some elements from the Passport to School set, then added a few washi tapes from Doodle Bug Design and black liquid pearls.

So, I would have gone autumn or Christmas with this prompt, but I just purchased some DARLING dies and embossing folders by Darice from Consumer Crafts, and I HAD to use them! So, I did. I went with a dog theme. Here's my completed card...

How stinkin' cute is this little guy?! I adore him on top of this fun dry embossing! Yep, I did add a bit of pink. I had to--it made the card complete!

A sentiment from The Stamps of Life, a punched border made with a punch from EK Success, some patterned paper from Stampin' Up!, and a few rhinestone hearts from my stash completed this card! I am in LOVE with this cutie--and I hope you like him, too! I would love to hear your comments below!
