Everything...LIM #27

Very few things in life inspire me enough to bring me to tears. One thing that does each and every time is standing to sing The Star Spangled Banner while saluting our nations flag. I feel incredibly blessed to live in a country that was created based on ideals of freedom and equality. Don't get me wrong, I harbor no ill will towards any other country, I am just 100% American through and through. And I wouldn't have it any other way!

I was extremely moved by the challenge this week at Less Is More--create a card using the colors of your nation's flag. Red, white, and blue. The most beautiful colors! I love them! I wanted to make a card not only reflecting the colors of the flag, but also my feelings about my country. Hence the sentiment:

Thanks for taking a look--I hope that my card inspires you to create today! Happy patriotic stamping! :)

  1. How wonderful to read how much you love your country... just as it should be although I am ashamed of some of my countrymen at the moment with all the rioting and looting which is happening in our country at present. It's simply appalling.
Your card however, is just super!
    Love it!
    Thanks so much

  2. I really enjoyed your post - so good to be proud of your country. I think your card is lovely - the stitching looks fab, and the sentiment echos your feelings really well!

I am equally proud of being British - but, like Chrissie says, totally ashamed of the behaviour of a miniority of stupid people. Hopefully, the police will get it all under control soon.

  3. A super card, the kraft panel really stands out against the white. Love that you're a proud American - us Scots are very patriotic too. xx

  4. You've created a lovely card and I thought the stitching on the panel reminded of the samplers created by ladies of old, perhaps the first settlers?! x

  7. Beautiful LiM card, to have a pride in your nation is a wonderful thing - I however am not proud at all right now to be a British citizen, I'm sure in the U.S you have heard of the idiots in this country looting and destroying livelihoods and lives. A humiliating and depressing time for our country.
