Feeling very vanilla...

Ever heard of something being described as "vanilla" and it being a negative thing?  Like it's common of something like that?  If you haven't, now you have!  If you have, this post is NOT gonna be "vanilla" in that sense--it's gonna be very vanilla in color!!!  I've got two cards that use some beautiful vanilla natural cardstock to show you.  Both of them are CAS in design and I love both of them! :)

This card is also for Susan's Gratitude Campaign--not a challenge, just something fun to keep us in the spirit of Thanksgiving.  Not sure who the recipient of this one will be, but I'm sure it will be for a very good reason! ;)  The design is pretty straight forward--three stamped leaves, a stamped sentiment, and three pearls.  Vanilla panel popped up onto a vanilla card.  That's it!  Moving onwards...

(It's my DH's anniversary card!)
 

 


This is for my very dear husband as an anniversary card.  I made the kraft sentiment panel first and added a bit of paper piecing.  I then added some punched hearts that have either been embossed with kaleidescope embossing powder or colored in with a clear glitter gel pen.  I decorated the inside so that I don't get in trouble with Ruth for not doing the other inside... ;D

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my cards!  I LOVE having you here!  Sorry if you haven't heard as much from me the past little while.  I've been going through some personal things and am trying to use my crafting as therapy.  It's going quite well.  ;)

Also, really quickly, wanted to update you on the garage sale 1/2 price day!  I got 2 retired SU! sets for just $4.50 and a bunch of paper and 40 envelopes for $12.  So, for under $20, I got some fabulous deals!  No pictures this time, just an update! ;)

    Both cards are so pretty done with vanilla and the touches of color! I love the anniversary cards with the scoring and paper piercing on the Crumb Cake. It looks so classy, your husband will love it! Thanks for joining us at the PPA this week!

    I LOVE them both! I am addicted to fall leaves and I love the random grouping of leaves - perfect for the falling leaves of autumn. So glad to see you at CAS(E) this Sketch!

    I just love the vanilla cards. I love the CAS style and the different shaped leaves and colours are stunning. That is a cool sketch for card 2, will have to check that out as it has given me an idea so thanks for the inspiration!
