Inkspirational: February Sketch Challenge

Hi, friends!  Thanks to all of you who joined in our challenge last week at Inkspirational!  We're back this week for a fabulous sketch challenge!

We've got a fabulous sponsor this month--Eclectic Anthology!!!  There are some AMAZING freebies over there and so some of the DT will be using them through the month--you might see some digital artwork, too!

{Freebies}

This month's winner will win a $30 gift card
to this fabulous digital store!

Here's this week's sketch~

My creation~

Details~

Inside right.
Inside left.
I've used an image by our fabulous sponsor, patterned papers by DCVW and Stampin' Up,  pearls by Studio 112, a CD case from I don't know where, a doily from my stash, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

I wanted to go for something different this week and when I came across a random CD case, I KNEW it was fate!  Thus my gift card holder came to be!  The pocket on the inside is for the gift card and I could even add another card in this.  And the best part?  Already "gift wrapped"!

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!  I hope you'll come and join us this week and I hope you'll stop and leave some love for the other gals on my DT!  Happy stamp{ink}! :)

Last post for today...

Okay, last post for today!  This card is my favorite of the 4 I created yesterday.  It turned out better than expected and just makes me quite happy!

Here it is~

Details~

For these fabulous challenges~

I've used glitter paper by DCWV, vellum from my stash, silver embossing powder by Stampendous!, and all other supplies are from Stampin' Up!.

This card was in my head after the last Muse card and I had to let it out.  I loved the bold flowers with fun centers, the way some of the leaves went off the panel, and was again inspired by the way the flowers framed the sentiment in the CASE card.  This card was born from those elements!  Fun flower centers, leaves off the edge, and floral framed sentiment!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!  I hope you like what you see and that you've been inspired to come and play along with these fabulous challenges!  HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

CAS and vintage not so much...

Okay, ready for 2 more cards?  Then I'll just have one more post, so I do hope you'll forgive me putting 2 cards in 1!  Otherwise I won't get anything else done online today that "needs" to be done! ;)

Here's the first card~

For these fabulous challenges~

For this card I used patterned paper and a doily from my stash, image stamps from Prima, sentiment stamp by Memory Makers, rhinestones by Studio 112, scallop die cut by Spellbinders, and all other supplies are from Stampin' Up!.

Vintage is hard for me to pull off, but I do have quite a few stamps that are considered of the vintage persuasion.  These Prima stamps have been sitting next to my desk begging to be used, so I knew that I had to incorporate them somehow!  This paper has been sitting in my scrap drawer for months, too!  All in all, this card was just waiting to be organized! :)

Here's the second card~

For these fabulous challenges~

I've used a sentiment stamp by Inspired By Stamping, liquid pearls by Ranger, and all other supplies are from Stampin' Up!.

I was really inspired by the CAS design of the card over at Muse.  I loved the way the flowers seemed to enhance the sentiment and so that is what I went for with my creation.  These colors made me think of a more Asian influence, so I pulled out some stamps lurking at the back of my stamp cabinet that had that style.  I added some sparkle and shine with glitter glue and liquid pearls to enhance the one layerness of my card. :)

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!  I do hope you've been inspired to create something today and that you'll come join in all these amazing challenges!  HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Play time!

Well, it's my fourth snow day and my fourth day off of work.  I was able to do some "just for fun" crafting yesterday only to find I had internet issues!  Oh, well!  I got another day off just so I could show you these cards! :)  I've made 4 but I won't show them all in the same post.

Here's the first card~

Details~

For these fabulous challenges~

I used sentiment stamps by Inspired by Stamping, silver embossing powder by Stampendous!, bubble wrap (yep--that's how I got those polka dots!), and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

I'd seen some cards that Virginia Lu made (HERE, HERE, and HERE) with bubble wrap and have been wanting to experiment with this technique.  It is SO fun and the texture it creates is amazing!  All you have to do is be careful not to puncture the bubbles as you cut out the desired shape.  And you can keep your shapes and just clean them off!  I inked them with stamp pads but perhaps you'd get better coverage with markers.  I liked the iffy way the ink pads stamped, though. :)

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!  I hope you have found some inspiration to create something new today!  I also hope that you come and play along with these fabulous challenges!  HUGS and happy stamping! :)

TSOT: Spring Tulips

Hello, friends!  I wish that spring was upon us but, alas, this is not the case!  We've gotten over 20 inches of snow dumped on us over the past week here in KS!!!  It's been crazy.  It feels like just yesterday that we were complaining that it was 70*F in November...but I digress!  It's time for another fabulous sketch challenge from Try Stampin' On Tuesday!!!

Here's the sketch~

My card~

Details~

I used patterned paper by DCWV, rhinestones by Prima, a sentiment by Papertrey Ink, and all other supplies are by Stampin' Up!.

I haven't used this tulip set as much as I'd like to and since I felt that I needed a little SPRING, I grabbed it and used it!  I love the way this turned out--the pop of color is perfect!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!  I hope you come and join us this week because I LOVE seeing your amazing creations! HUGS and happy stamping! :)

My little fur baby is SUCH a big part of my life!  Because my DH and I have struggled for about 7 years with infertility, she has become such a comfort to us in the past few years we've had her.  She is the sweetest, cuddliest, darlingest puppy anyone could ever have.  I am so grateful to God for sending her to us!  I can say, along with other parents of "rescued" pets, that SHE rescued us more than we rescued her.  I love her so!

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my little page!  If I ever turn it into a layout, I'll let you know! ;)  I do hope that you'll come and join us in this fun challenge!  HUGS and happy {digi} creating! :)
