Birthday Card For My Hubby

Hi again, all!  I'm back again with another "just because" card, but THIS card is for a very special someone--MY HUBBY!  His birthday is this month and I wanted to make him a card that was different from what I've made before. Take a peek...

I started by adding some gold and patterned paper to the main panel.  I then stamped a sentiment from the Flower of the Month: Asters set from the Inspired By Stamping store and punched it out.  I popped it up to give some dimension to the card.

I then added just a little bit of bling.  The glittery stars and black enamel dot seemed like more than enough since this card is going to a man. ;)  I like the glitter, but I think it's been done in a masculine way, don't you?

I think that all these fun elements and the masculine color scheme truly has come together to make a card that is nothing like the ones I've made for my husband in past years!  I hope he likes it.  Luckily, he doesn't ever check my blog, so he'll still be surprised by it! ;)

That's all for me right now!  I hope you've been inspired by my little CAS creation today and I hope that you join in the fun of the challenges I'm linking up with as well!  The links to those challenges can be found after my signature!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

  5. This looks fab, Mynnette! The glittery details sure work with this masculine design. I've got a soft spot for the chevron pattern and this color combo is brilliant!
