Hello again, crafty friends! It's time for another challenge over at CASE-ing Christmas and we have another fabulous card for you to CASE! This one is by DT member Judy. Come and take a peek...
I super love the traditional colors, gold sentiment, and dimension on this card, and so that is what I used as my inspiration as I crafted. I also liked the way Judy used a smaller panel on top of her card base panel, so I CASEd that as well. Come see my creation...
I didn't have a dimensional Christmas tree, but when I saw this paper sticking out from my scrap drawer, I just knew it needed a dimensional poinsettia! This one was made using white card, punches from Stampin' Up!, and some gold pearls for the center. I sponged the edges of the flowers for a bit more interest, too. The flower was layered onto some punches accented with liquid pearls and added to the card.
The sentiment (which has not photographed well at all) is from Great Impressions and was heat embossed with gold powder from Stampendous! onto some red card and then added below the flower. You can get a better feel for the shine in this next photo...
All that was left after creating this focal panel was to add it to the card base. I really like the way this turned out, but I do believe this will not be able to be mailed. :) Hand deliver or send via a larger, padded envelope. But, it was fun to make. :)
That's all for me today! I'll be back next week with another card for CASE-ing Christmas, and I hope you hop on over and join in our current challenge! I cannot wait to see what you will create for us! HUGS and MERRY stamping to you all!
Very pretty cards. Love your take. Hugz

ReplyDeleteHi Mynn, I love your clustered pearls in the middle of your flower. So pretty. I love how everyone picked a different aspect of the CASE card. Sorry I left the CASE Card off my blog post. I meant to fix that before it went live. It's fixed now. Have a great day!
