Howdy, y'all! ;) I hope you had a great week and that your weekend is going well, too! I've got something a little different to share with you today. It's a wreath!!! I have 2 craft groups that I keep going out in my neck of the woods and this is the first wreath I made with the Wreath Wranglers! Like our name? Yeah...I made it up. My other craft group is just general crafts and is called Kansas Kreatiff. I like alliteration like that. ;) I DIGRESS...take a peek at the finished wreath...
So, I'm not gonna lie. This was NOT my first choice for the wreath to make for my hostessing month. (The hostess posts a few pictures of wreaths for the next month and we vote. The winning wreath is what's made.) I KNEW it would take FOREVER...but I didn't wan to be the one who brought everyone down, so I went with it. If you're reading this, PLEASE KNOW THAT THIS WREATH WILL TAKE YOU MANY HOURS TO MAKE.
Is it worth it? Well, I do like how it turned out, so I think so. But I was very glad when the wreath for Saint Patrick's day was MUCH less labor intensive. ALSO, we got the hard one out of the way, so people will listen to my opinion next time. ;)
So, here's what I did. I die cut out a bunch of hearts using the nesting heart dies from Stampin' Up! using white cardstock. I used 5 of the largest scallop hearts, 3 of the next size down, 10 of the next size down from that, and 10 of the smallest size. The smallest size were actually made using punches, not dies. I hope that makes sense. I then layered them with different cardstocks from a retired Recollections Valentine paper stack.
I added bits of bling (die cuts, glittery shapes, rhinestones, stickers to make words, etc.) to each heart before adding them to the wreath. I tied them onto the wire wreath form with ribbon and twine. I then hot glued them where I wanted them. I then layered some tags from Hobby Lobby and some Project Life cards to fill in the spaces. It takes time, but I do love how it turned out! What is your opinion? I'd love for you to leave me a comment and let me know!
I'd like to enter this into these fabulous challenges~
That's all for me today! I hope you like this creation and that, if you're brave and have the time, you try it out! I also hope you join in the fun of these fabulous challenges! HUGS and happy CRAFTING to you all! :)

Ok Wow! I love love love this wreath!! I had no idea you die cut the hearts-that is time consuming. At first I thought you had used old valentine day cards (upcycle time!) ;) But this is so much better because it matches so well. Love this! :) And I can't wait to see St. Pat's day!
