And here's what was written on the Great Impressions blog about the RMH~

"The Ronald McDonald House provides shelter, food, and moral support to families with seriously ill children.  While these families are often overwhelmed with their current crises, they are also humbled by the outpouring of care showered on them by doctors, nurses, other families in the House, as well as, their own friends and family. Your handmade cards will provide them an opportunity to return the kindness and will leave a "great impression" on both the families giving the cards and the recipients."

Isn't that an amazing reason to create and give?  I definitely think so!  They've asked us to create cards from the following genres: thank you, thinking of you, birthday, and sympathy.  Here are some of the cards I created for this hop...with some details!

52CCT: ANYTHING {but a card, ATC, tag} GOES!

Hi, there!  Does this month have five Saturdays?!  It sure does!  You know what THAT means?!  This week's challenge at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown is Anything Goes...with a new twist!  You can make ANYTHING holiday related...as long as it's not a card, ATC, or tag...so what will YOU create?!

My creation~

So, I keep jars.  All of them.  Okay, MOST of them!  Why?  For just this purpose!  To prettify and then use as gifts!  This one might just get filled with some spiced nuts and taken to a holiday party for the hostess.  Or maybe it will have chocolates in it and be given to a friend.  Who knows?!

I hope you come and join us--we love seeing all your amazing creations!  Please say hi to the other DT gals when you do because we all love hearing from you!  Merry stamping! :)

Hi there!  Welcome to another wonderful week of holiday stamping with Christmas Stampin' All Year Long!  This week we've got an amazing photo inspiration and we are sponsored by Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  The two winners of our challenge this week will each receive 7 free images of their choice!!!  The design team has graciously been given images to play with, so you'll see some of them around blog land this week!!!

Here's the photo inspiration~

I used patterned paper to mimic the different colored layers of the cake and used the same colors to color in the darling image from Bugaboo!  I highlighted the image with clear glitter gel pen and then added some rhinestones for some extra sparkle!

Thanks for coming over to my blog and taking a peek at my creation!  I hope you come and join in the fun for your chance to win!  Please take the time to stop by the other DT gals' blogs to see their amazing creations and merry stamping! :)

Just a few days left...

...to play along with the Faux Leather challenge over at Technique Tuesday!!!  I've got an autumnal card to share with you using the technique to hopefully inspire you to play along!

For these fabulous challenges~

(I made my pumpkins out of punches!)

Like I stated, the background of this card was created using the Faux Leather technique that I'm showcasing at Technique Tuesday this month!  I created pumpkins using different sized oval punches and then added a fun sentiment by Hero Arts and some bling!  That's all she wrote!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my card and saying hi!  Also, please take a peek at the DT call I'm having--I'm looking for some fabulous crafters to join me in a brand new challenge starting in January!  Happy stamping friends!!! :)

Autumn Gourds

So, it's almost autumn!  Well, it technically IS autumn, but it was 95*F here today.  Blarg.  I've decided to make an offering to the autumn fairy in hopes that cooler weather will find us!!!  I've used a fabulous freebie from Beccy's Place--it's gorgeous!

Here's my card~

So, I started by water coloring the image using dark yellows, browns, and oranges.  I then spritzed the image with gold glimmer mist, dry embossed it, and added it to my card base!  Did you notice that I also decorated the inside?!  I rarely do that, but I wanted a sentiment...it just took too much away from Beccy's amazing digi!

Thanks for stopping by!  I love it when you come by to say hi and I appreciate all your kind words!!!  Please come and play along with us at these fabulous challenges--I adore seeing your work!  Happy stamping! :)

TSOT: Pretty Poppies

Hello!  We've got another amazing sketch for you this week at Try Stampin' On Tuesday and I hope you come and play along!!!

Here's the sketch~

My card~

I started by heat embossing my Hero Arts poppy image and then I water colored it.  After that, I dry embossed the panel and added it to my card.  A simple sentiment by Prima, some gingham ribbon, and some bling finish off this CAS card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you like what you see and I hope you come and join us at TSOT!  Please make sure to leave some love with the other DT gals, too!  Happy stamping!!!

Make My Monday: VINTAGE/TRANSPORT AROUND THE WORLD

Welcome to the last week of the Make My Monday VINTAGE challenges!  This week we want to see your creations using the guidelines of VINTAGE and TRANSPORT AROUND THE WORLD.  Think cities, transportation modes, etc. and then make it vintage!

Here's my card~

Details~

I used a fun vintage balloon image and stamped my sentiment onto it then layered it on top of patterned papers by Stampin' Up! and added some bling!  Easy peasy!!!  I hope you like it!

Don't forget to go and see what the other DT members have created--they're all so incredibly talented and you will be inspired!  Happy stamping--can't wait to see your creations this week! :)

Two more cards...

A quick post with a couple more cards I've created in the past little bit!  This post will be long enough with pictures, etc., so I won't blabber on...

Card 1~

Details~

For these fabulous challenges~

(Week 1: Pink, Black, & White;
Week 42: Silhouette;
Week 43: Bit of Bling)

This card utilizes different dry embossed pattern to create more interest than just the flat colors.  The bling and ribbon were the only embellishments I felt were needed and appropriate.  The lack of sentiment will come in handy--I just know it!

Card 2~

For these fabulous challenges~

This card took quite a bit of time for me to create.  I had to find some patterned paper that I liked to fit the colors as I wanted to stamp onto patterned paper! ;)  The faux stitching is really what slowed me down.  I've done quite a bit of it the past week and am still trying to get faster!

Thanks for stopping by to see my cards--I appreciate you taking time out of your day to say hi and to leave your sweet comments!  Please join in the fabulous challenges I've played along with--I'd love to see what you create!!!  Happy stamping! :)
