It's been ages...

...since I made a card.  I haven't had the energy to craft literally all week.  All my DT posts were scheduled previously.  I've just been utterly exhausted!  BUT, yesterday I got my first large paycheck after going back to work and I kinda went on a huge shopping spree...seriously.  It's scary how much stuff I purchased.  I'm broke again. ;D  But that means I had to play with my new toys this evening!!!  I've got 2 cards to share!  I'll share the other later...

Card one~

Details~
This is to show the clear glitter gel accents.

For these fabulous challenges~

This card is a one layer CAS card that was quite easy to execute.  Wow.  I would NOT have said that about 6 months ago!  I used to dread one layer cards...but I digress!  I highlighted the open words and parts of the images by water coloring Lucky Limeade ink and then I added a bit of bling the same color.  After I did that, I thought it needed something a little extra, so I colored in the images with a clear glitter gel pen.  Voila!  And on we go...

Card two~

Details~

Can you see the shimmer better in this picture?  It's there...I promise!

For these fabulous challenges~

I started by spraying my card base with gold glimmer mist...the homemade kind.  You can't really tell.  It's there!  I sponged around my doily with pink ink, layered some papers and a fabulous panel using my favorite technique--stamped image, water colored patches, champagne homemade glimmer mist, dry embossing--and added a sentiment, some bling, a flower, and some pins.  I love it!  I think it turned out a lot better than I hoped! :)

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my cards!  I appreciate you and your kind words.  Please come and join in these fabulous challenges!  Happy stamping! :)
