Glitter is so hard to photograph! |
This card has obviously lead me to think about Easter and the Atoning sacrifice of our Savior. My favorite verses about our Savior are in the book of Isaiah and the two verses I'm sharing with you today come from Isaiah 53:4-5. They state,
"Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed."
I love these verses because they address a part of the Atonement that is sometimes overlooked. The part where Christ not only suffered for our sins, but also felt our sadness, sorrow, and grief. He literally KNOWS how we feel when we don't get that job, when a loved one dies, when we suffer with infertility, when we struggle to figure out how to pay our bills, when we are betrayed, and the list goes on. At this Easter season, my prayer is that we will turn our hearts to our Savior, repent, and lean on him. His love can cover anything that may happen in our lives. Literally.
Thank you so much for stopping by today to take a peek at my creation! I hope you take some time to create today and that you have a wonderful Easter Sunday. Always remember--YOU ARE LOVED. God's love is for all and the only thing He asks in return is that you follow Him. HUGS and happy stamping, friends!
