Paper Sweeties September Inspiration Challenge #25 - 'Happy Holidays'

Ho ho ho!  It's December!  The holidays are just around the corner and we've got the perfect challenge for them over at Paper Sweeties!!!  Take a look at our theme for this month...

Isn't that absolutely darling?!  Nothing says the holidays like food...well, at least at our house!  So, for my projects this month, I made some fun food wrappings!  Come and see!

I started the pudding pouch by cutting out some green cardstock and stamping the snowflake image from the Homemade With Love stamp set in the same green for a subtle tone on tone effect.  I then added a band of punched silver glitter paper and added some red stitched ribbons and some Strawberry sequins.

Next, I created a little tag to add to the pouch.  I punched out a scallop circle from the same silver glitter paper and then stamped the Christmas pudding image from the Homemade With Love set onto white card.  I punched that out and then paper pieced it and added some glitter to the "frosting" for some added shine.  Liquid pearls accent the scallops.

The back of the tag was layered with some patterned paper and a sentiment stamped from the Homemade With Love set.  Some red glitter gel pen accents the heart in the word "love".  The tag was then tied to the pouch.

The final pouch could be used for a few holiday cookies or candies.  It's destined to be handed out to a neighbor or friend this holiday season! :)

The next creation is a little gingerbread box.  I started this creation but cutting out the red box and adding some green glitter paper.  I added a sentiment from the Happy Holidays stamp set onto some brown card and punched it out and set it aside while I worked on the  focal point--a darling gingerbread cookie!

This guy is from the Ho Ho Ho stamp set.  He was stamped in dark brown on medium brown cardstock.  I then used a chalk marker to color over his accents and, after it was dried,  I colored over them with glitter gel pen.  Then my little cookie was layered onto some punched glitter paper pieces and accented with some liquid pearls.

After adding him to the box, I added a few rhinestones, liquid pearl drops, and some Silver sequins for a bit of extra shine and shimmer.  And, the box was done!  This is perfect for a few treats for someone special--that's what will happen!

That's all for me, friends!  I hope you come and join the fun at the Paper Sweeties blog, and don't forget to check out what the rest of the design team--including our guest for this month--has created!

Here's the DT list~
I'll be back later this month with creations from our December release!
HUGS and happy stamping, all!

Inspired By Stamping: Holly Days!

Hi, friends!  I'm here today with a fun holiday HOLLY-day card to share with you today using products from the Inspired By Stamping store!  This was a quick card to make, so if you haven't started your holiday cards yet, it would be one to add to your list!

I started this card by adding some patterned paper to the kraft base and then embossing a sentiment from the Festive Frames stamp set onto the patterned paper.

Next, I stamped the holly image from the Christmas Wreath set onto some paper and punched it out.  I sponged the circle with some brown ink to give it a distressed look.  I then layered this image onto a die cut from the Fancy Labels 3 dies.

I then added some red ribbon, including a bow, from the Christmas Ribbon Collection.  A cream button and a bit of gold elastic cording added just a bit of cheer to the bow after it was added to the card.

That was it!  Really simple, and I think the end result is elegant!  What do you think of the final card?  I'd love to hear your opinion--leave a comment to let me know!

Thank you for stopping by to take a peek!  That's all for me today!  I hope you take a chance to go and grab our newest release from the store and, if you spend $50, you will get a free stamp set!  Also, come and join in the fun of our current challenge, too!  If you use products from the Inspired By Stamping store, link them up in the Customer Gallery as well!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Great Impressions: Golden Peace

Hi, friends and Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the USA!  I'm back today with another holiday card using a gorgeous stamp from the Great Impressions online store.  I kept this clean but elegant and I hope you like it!  Take a peek...

I LOVE this card.  It turned out more beautifully than I thought it would.  I started by stamping and embossing the image, F462 Dove of Peace, and embossing it in gold.  The shine in real life is amazing!  It was hard to photograph...

I decided that this stamp could stand on its own, so I just added some cream crocheted trim that I weaved ribbon through and a punched paper border.  A few brown rhinestones completed this portion of the card.

I feel that the result is elegant, bordering on shabby chic.  I don't know which one to call it.  What would you call this style?  Leave me a comment and let me know! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my creation!  Hop over to the Great Impressions blog for more inspiration and come play along with our monthly challenge, too!  If you use stamps from Great Impressions, you'll be able to link up your creation in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Paper Sweeties: Monthly Designer Spotlight

Hi, friends!  I'm super excited to announce that today I'm the Monthly Designer in the Spotlight for Paper Sweeties this month!  I've created a card using some of our newest release items to share with you today and Debbie is sharing it on the Paper Sweeties blog, too.  Come and take a gander...

I started this creation by creating a snowy background.  I sponged a piece of white cardstock with turquoise ink.  I then dry embossed the panel with a large polka dot background.  I lightly inked this with Versamark and heat embossed with white powder.  I then added some snow banks cut freehand and topped with glitter.  This was matted onto some turquoise glitter paper to add a bit more shine and sparkle--you can never have too much around the holidays! :)

I then stamped a snowman from the Holly Days set and die cut it out.  I colored him with Spectrum Noir markers and added a bit of glitter for some shine.  I used the "steam" die cut from the Homemade With Love Sweet Cuts to create glittery wind on either side of my wintry snowman.  A few light blue sequins from the Tuti-Fruiti sequins mix and glossy accents on the eyes finished off this portion of the card.

I then decided to add some stamped and die cut snowflakes to the sky.  These little guys are from the Holly Days set and are cut out with the Holly Days Sweet Cuts.  I added more of the same light blue sequins from the Tuti-Fruiti mix to the centers to add a bit more shine.  Just a tad bit of glitter, too.

So, what do you think?  I love it!  I decided not to add a sentiment so that this could be used for different purposes.  It could be a Christmas card, a Hanukkah card, a just because card...so versatile!

Thanks for stopping by today to take a peek at my card!  I hope you hop over to grab our newest release items and that you join in our monthly challenge, too!  HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

Great Impressions: Inner Elf

It's Thursday!  I'm excited to share another new card with you today using new stamps from the Great Impressions online store! :)  This one is super fun and whimsical--with a holiday them.  Come and see...

Isn't this fun?!  It was quick and easy to make, too.  I started by stamping the elf feet image, E851 Elf Feet, on the top of the main panel.  I colored it in with glitter gel pens for some holiday sparkle.

I then added the sentiment, C475 Inner Elf, underneath the image and separated the two with baker's twine.  A few rhinestones gave just a little more holiday sparkle to the creation.

The last step was to layer this stamped panel onto a dry embossed panel and add the whole thing to a red card base.  The result is a fun, yet clean looking, card that is totally easy to recreate--perfect for your holiday card making!

Inspired By Stamping: You Are Beautiful!

Hello friends, and happy Sunday!  I'm here to share a card with you today using beautiful products from the Inspired By Stamping store.  I've been making a lot of holiday cards lately, and so I decided to take a break today and make a "just because" card.  Come and take a peek!

As you could tell from the banner shot up top, this card has A LOT of shine going on.  I heat embossed all stamping in gold and layered it all with bronze glitter paper.  It is so hard to photograph all that shine, but I've done my best. ;)

I started by heat embossing a sentiment from the Trendy Circle Sentiments set in gold on pearlized paper and punching it out.  I then layered that onto a heat embossed frame from the Fancy Circles set.  I layered the two onto another scallop circle of bronze glitter paper.  It's just barely peeking out...

I then layered this portion onto a panel that included the frame from the A Lovely Birthday set.  This frame was also heat embossed in gold and layered onto some bronze glitter paper.  I also added two small circles of the bronze glitter paper to the centers of the scroll image on the top and bottom of the frame from the A Lovely Birthday set.

Next, I decided I needed to add a little pizzazz.  For that pizzazz, I reached out for some flower.  I chose some light yellow flowers with a 2 tone tangerine flower nestled between them.  I added a few leaves that were punched out of the bronze glitter paper.

There you have it!  It's super shiny, and oh so pretty, thanks to the amazing products from Inspired By Stamping!  What do you think of it?  Take one last look before you leave, won't you?

That's all for me today!  I hope you take a chance to go and grab our newest release from the store and, if you spend $50, you will get a free stamp set!  Also, come and join in the fun of our current challenge, too!  If you use products from the Inspired By Stamping store, link them up in the Customer Gallery as well!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!
