Hello, friends. Today I am sharing a very special post to honor the lives of family members of blogging friends who have recently passed away. My dear and long standing, blog friend, Sue, lost her brother, Bill, to esophageal cancer last week. In addition to this sad loss, three other friends, Em, Nandini and Mary Ellen, have also recently had losses. Em lost a long-time and dear family friend suddenly, Nandini lost an aunt-in-law and Mary Ellen also lost her brother in January. Ladies, you are in my thoughts and prayers!
I have created a paper pieced card to share with you for this hop. It has a blue/periwinkle theme, as periwinkle is the color of esophageal cancer awareness. After photographing it, I feel it's more blue, but I did try to find the periwinkle. Here is the card...
I used three different patterned papers from my stash, all from Stampin' Up!, a floral stamp set from Spellbinders, and a sentiment from a retired Stampin' Up! stamp set. I also used some pearls from my stash and white liquid pearls to accent the punched scallop border of the focal panel. I do think this turned out lovely, and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends. Please do visit Sue, Em, Nandini, and Mary Ellen to leave some love as they mourn the loss of loved ones. If you have time, please complete the hop and leave some love with the other participants, as well. Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, dear friends!
