Paper Sweeties Challenge - June 2017 - Anything Goes!


Hello, friends! It's time for the June monthly challenge at Paper Sweeties, and there is a delicious photo inspiration for you this month. Take a peek...


I was totally inspired by all those gorgeous cherries and the colors/patterns in the photo. Here's my completed creation...


I used images from the Mason Jar and Homegrown stamp sets. I paper pieced the jar and colored the cherries with Sakura gel pens. I then used the Mason Jar Sweet Cuts and Homegrown Sweet Cuts dies to cut these images out. Some dies from the Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts die set were also used to accent my images.


A doily and some ribbon up top finished this fun card! I think it looks good enough to eat. ;) What do you think? I would love to hear your comments below!

MHKDesigns: Seashells


Hello, friends! May is about to wrap up, and that means it's time for me to share another FREEBIE panel for you to use in our monthly challenge next month! I chose to use the Serene Seaside digital stamp set and Serene Seaside digital paper pack for this month's freebie. You can hop over to the blog and grab the panel HERE! Take a peek at the card I created with it...

I printed the panel out twice so that I could fussy cut the seashells and pop them up for added dimension. I then added various pearls for texture.


Some faux stitching creates more texture for the card panel in opposite corners. I used navy cardstock as my mat to keep the card monochromatic. I would love to hear what you think of my card in the comments below!

Paper Sweeties May 2017 New Release Rewind!


Hey, all!  It's time for another Paper Sweeties release!  We've got three new stamp sets and a very versatile Sweet Cuts set, too! You will love these products!  Today I've made a spring themed card to share with you.  Take a peek...


I used the *NEW* Handmade For You set to create a cloud with a sentiment inside. A butterfly, stamped from the Bee Happy stamp set and cut using the Bee Happy Sweet Cuts dies, was paper pieced, colored with a Sakura glitter gel pen, and glittered with some Stickles was added to accent the cloud.


The garden down below was created with the *NEW* Scallop Circle, Bee Happy, and Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts dies. I added some Bubblegum, Blue Raspberry, and Sugar Sprinkles sequins with liquid pearl centers for added texture and shine. Some glitter adds even more texture to the flower centers.


I just adore the different patterned papers used here and how they look together! I think it turned out to be super sweet! What do you think? I can't wait to hear what you think about my creation in the comments below! :)

Paper Sweeties May 2017 New Release Party!


Hey, all!  It's time for another Paper Sweeties release!  We've got three new stamp sets and a very versatile Sweet Cuts set, too! You will love these products!  Today I've made a fun soccer themed card to share with you.  Take a peek...


I used Jake stamp and the Jake Sweet Cut along with the *NEW* Score stamp set to create my little soccer player. Jake was colored with Spectrum Noir markers and the outfit was paper pieced.


The sentiment is also from the *NEW* Score stamp set. I colored in the outline letters with a Sakura glitter gel pen for some added color and shine.


A trio of glittery enamel stars in a masculine color scheme finished of this creation. I think it's adorable--what do you think? I can't wait to hear what you think about my creation in the comments below! :)

Paper Sweeties May 2017 New Release Sneak Peeks!


Hey, all!  It's time for another Paper Sweeties release!  We've got three new stamp sets and a very versatile Sweet Cuts set, too! You will love these products!  Today I've made a CAS masculine birthday card to share with you.  Take a peek...


This card uses the *NEW* Howdy Y'all stamp set. I stamped and paper pieced the hat image and added a sentiment below.  I used distressed papers for a worn and weathered look for the hat. :)


Some faux stitching, twine, and a button helped to embellish this simple masculine birthday card. This card will be perfect for any cowboy on their special day! I can't wait to hear what you think about my creation in the comments below! :)

MHKDesigns: May 2017 Challenge


Happy May, friends! It's time for another monthly challenge to begin at MHKDesigns, and this month we have a fun birthday themed inspiration for you! Of course, if you use products from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop, it's ANYTHING GOES! But we love seeing everything you make, so link up with us! Here's this month's inspiration...


I was inspired by the colors, cakes, and polka dots! I did some layering, coloring, and glitterfying (that's a word!) to create my creation this moth. Take a peek at my completed card...


The image and sentiment are both from the Eat Your Cake! digital stamp set. I colored the image in with gel pens and added glitter to the frosting. The sentiment was printed onto vellum before being added as a pennant to the card.


The papers I used are from the Rosy Posy digital paper pack. I added some magenta glitter paper, a doily, and a gold washi star with a rhinestone in the middle to finish the card off.  I hope you like it! I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)
