Lovely Ladies with Conie Fong

Hello, friends! It’s another day, and another card for me to share with you! I am so honored to be a Guest Designer for Conie Fong for the next couple of months, and this month we are sharing the lovely ladies from the Conie Fong Etsy shop

This sweet girl is named Susie Sunshine, and she is delivering her light to others everyday for any occasion! I colored her with my Ohuhu alcohol markers, then added her to a panel with two patterns of paper, a doily, some glitter gems, and a punched out sentiment.

I adore floral papers and tend to use them more than other patterns, and the blooms she is carrying called for floral paper in the background! I made her a red-head in honor of one of my favorite literary heroines, Anne of Green Gables.

I am entering this sweetheart into the following fabulous challenges:

As You Like It: Floral or Gingham + Why

Creative Inspiration: Anything Goes

DL.Art: Anything Goes

Seize the Birthday: Anything Birthday/Inspired by a Book

Through the Purple Haze: Tic-Tac-Toe (punch/girly/floral)

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge: Vicky’s Board (flowers/birthday sentiment/gems)

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek at my first card back! I hope you take some time to head over to the Conie Fong Etsy Shop and grab some adorable images! If you do, please share them in the Conie Fong Facebook Group with us! Until next time, HUGS and happy crafting, friends!

Washi Tape Series: 01 Cool Birthday

Hi, friends! It is SUMMER!!! I now have too much time on my hands, as I am very used to being continually busy as a teacher. So, I can now get to blogging cards again! I've decided to try and use my stash, along with some new goodies, and I realized as I was organizing that I have A LOT of washi tape. So, I created some cards in the same layout, but with different colors, sentiments, and patterns, and I will share them over the next few days!

Here's the first card~

The blue chevron washi, stamps, black ink, and paper are all from The Stamps of Life. The bling is from Doodlebug Design, the ombre ink is from Hero Arts, and the striped washi was in my stash and I have no clue where it's from. This card was made especially for my brother, and I really love the way it turned out! I hope you do, too! Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Unicorn Birthday

Hi, friends! Thanks for stopping by today! I've been having fun getting out supplies that I haven't used and a few new things, too. For today's card, I used a new to me image from the Unicorn Birthday digital stamp set by Bugaboo. Take a peek...

I colored the sweet image with Spectrum Noir markers, then fussy cut it out. I used stamps and dies from The Stamps of Life to create the sentiment, then added some glitter gems, glitter paper, and textured ribbon for a bit more texture. The focal panel was added to a card base prepped with some pink paper pierced patterned paper (whew--how's that for alliteration?!) with a lavender mat.

I totally adore this creation, and hope you do, too! I can't wait to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Happy Birthday Flowers

Happy Friday, all! I'm back with another CAS creation that has a birthday theme! I kept the colors fun and summery because, 'tis the season! ;) Take a peek...

The floral stamps are from Stampin' Up!. I used a sentiment/cardstock/ink/dies from The Stamps of Life and patterned paper from Papertrey Ink. The glitter washi is from my stash and the enamel dots are from Close To My Heart. I am relatively sure that most of these items, with the exception of stuff from TSOL, are retired. I'm trying to use my supplies! ;)

I adore the way this turned out, and I hope you do, too! I cannot wait to hear what you think in the comments below! :)

MHKDesigns: June Photo Inspiration Challenge

Happy June, friends! It's time for another monthly challenge to begin at MHKDesigns, and this month we have a seashore summer themed inspiration for you! Of course, if you use products from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop, it's ANYTHING GOES! But we love seeing everything you make, so link up with us! Here's this month's inspiration...

I was inspired by the sea theme and colors of the photo. I decided to use the Sea Creatures digital stamp set from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop to create a fun birthday card! Take a peek...

I created my panel in Photoshop using various brushes and the Sea Creatures digital stamp set. I used various shades of blue that fade into white to give depth and made the fish images white. I love the contrast! I kept the sentiment black so that it would stand out and draw the eye to it.

Some faux stitching, twine, and a button finished off my card. I really love the masculine feel, but it could be for anyone who loves the ocean! What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you hop over to join in our monthly challenge at MHKDesigns!  There are prizes for each one, and you can use any products you'd like! :) Don't forget to leave some love with the other gals on this wonderful DT, too!

House of Cards: Summer Blog Hop

Hi, all! Happy June! I hope your summer is off to a fun and fabulous start! It's time to celebrate the end of the first term at House of Cards and we have a super fun challenge for you! You should have arrived here from the HOC blog, but if not, make sure to stop by there for a full list of the hoppers! Remember, this hop only lasts until the 15th, so don't wait! Come join us today using this fabulous inspiration...

Isn't that the epitome of summer? I LOVE the beach and all the inspiration that it brings! I was inspired by the blue, white, and kraft colors plus the beach feel this photo has. Take a peek at my completed card...

I used Photoshop to create my focal panel using digital stamps from the Sea Creatures set by MHKDesigns and some brushes. I added a few white enamel dots to mimic more "clouds" and give a bit more dimension, aside from the sentiment.

The edges of the panel were distressed and I also added faux stitching for even more texture. I love the way this turned out! It's perfect for a guy's birthday or for anyone who loves the beach! What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Your next step on the hop is Judy's blog!  Make sure to stop by all the other gals' blogs to see what they have in store--they ALWAYS amaze me!  Have fun!  Happy hopping, all! :)
