Layered Floral Birthday Card

Hi, friends! I am loving being on summer break so I can craft and share more! How's your summer (or winter, if you live below the equator) going? I hope it's going well! Today I have a floral birthday card to share with you today that uses *NEW* to me products and some things from my stash. Take a peek!

This card was made using the Garden Picks 3D dies from Altenew, a sentiment from the Avery Elle Magnolia stamp set, cardstock and ink from The Stamps of Life, patterned paper from Stampin' Up!, bling from my stash, and a black thin tip Sharpie for the faux stitching.

I was so pleased with how this card turned out, and the recipient also loved it! I hope you like it, too! I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

I'm entering this card into these fabulous challenges~

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you take some time to create something--you deserve it! If so, I hope you are able to play along with some of these challenges! I'll be back again soon! Until then, HUGS and happy crafting, friends!

CAS Flamingo

Hello, friends! I have been gone for far too long, and decided to take the opportunity to redo my blog and create a card this weekend! I am playing along with a few fabulous challenges, so I hope you'll join me! Here's the card...

I used dies, stamps, and ink from The Stamps of Life, Spectrum Noir markers, punches (retired?) from Stampin' Up! and miscellaneous bling to create this card. Here's a closer look at the details...

It was great to get back into my craft room and create! I think this turned out pretty cute, even if my skills are a bit rusty! What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

(Use stitched dies.)

Thanks for stopping by, friends! I hope you all have some time to play along with these fun challenges! I also hope you have a wonderful week! Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping!

MHKDesigns: March Challenge + Blessed Lily Release

Hello and happy March, everyone! I'm here today to share a card for this month's challenge at MHKDesigns. As you know, I've revamped how my Etsy shop will be running this year, so our challenge posts will ALSO include a monthly release set! This month's set is called...

And here is our challenge inspiration:

I decided to play around with Photoshop and create a two card set--one layered card, the other a one-layer card. Here are my cards...

Both of these cards use the same Photoshop-created panel and the *NEW* Blessed Lily digital stamp set. One was printed, then layered and gussied up...

And the other was kept one-layer with simple rounded corners added.

The layered card had some faux stitching added as a border. I love that using digital images make it super simple to create cards using the same product in a variety of ways! The possibilities are endless! What do you think? I would love to hear in the comments below! :)

Thanks for stopping by, friends! Come join in the fun on the MHKDesigns blog for your chance to win some digi goodies from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! Until next time, HUGS and happy {digital} stamping, friends!

MHKDesigns October Release: Funky Fall Foliage

Hello, friends!  Welcome to the October 2017 Release for the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop!  We have 5 fabulous  new sets to share this month and they cover a variety occasions, including sympathy and a celebration of the autumnal season starting here in the Northern Hemisphere!  I just know you will LOVE all the creations that my team and I have to share, as well!  Today's set is called...

And here is my card set~

I used Photoshop to create a foliage background using images from the Funky Fall Foliage set before adding a sentiment to match the colors on top.

This set was super quick and easy because I used my recoloring tool in Photoshop to get a variety of colors! I added faux stitching and glittery dots to the focal panels and backed them with a variety of digital papers. What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

And now, let's talk about how to get this new set OR the entire release for FREE!  Here's what you'll need to do...
  1. Comment here on the MHKDesigns blog.
  2. Comment on each DT member's blog.
