Hedgehog Wish

Hello again, friends! Thanks for stopping by today! I recently purchased some DARLING digital stamps from Lee Holland's Etsy Shop, and I took some time over this break to do some coloring and card making with them! Take a peek at today's offering...

I have to apologize for the mildly blurry photos. My camera is having issues and is driving me crazy. ;) I colored this darling hedgehog image using colored pencils, then added some Stickles for added texture and shine. The sentiment is by Paper Smooches. I punched it out and layered it with punches from Stampin' Up!, then added some bling!

The card was prepped with some patterned paper from Stampin' Up!, a doily from Doodlebug Designs, ribbon from The Stamps of Life, and a button and twine from my stash. I love the way this turned out, and I hope you do, too! I can't wait to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

I'm entering this card with these fabulous challenges~

(I went diagonal from top left to bottom right!)

Thank you again for stopping by today! I hope you find some time to create and join these fun challenges this weekend! Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, all!

Great Impressions: Buzzing Bear

Hello again, friends!  It's Monday, so that means I get to share another creation with you that uses some fabulous stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I'm sharing a fun card using one of the *NEWEST* images, and it is darling!  Take a peek...

I started by stamping the image, G526 Bear With Bumblebees, then coloring it with a mix of glitter gel pen and colored pencil.  Isn't he darling?!

I thought this sentiment, A147 Buzzing By, was the PERFECT one to go with the image, don't you agree?  I also shaped a paper flower, using my same color scheme, to use as an accent.

The last thing to add was the ribbon, then it was all layered onto the card base!  I think this is just so sweet, don't you?  I can't wait to read what you think in the comments below!

That's all for me today, friends.  THANK YOU so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card!  I also would love for you to come and join our monthly challenge!  If you use a stamp from the Great Impressions online store, please link it up in our Customer Gallery, too!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

I think I like...

Hello, howdy, hey ya'll!  I'm here today to share something with you.  Something personal, in a way.  I have been having a ROUGH time the last month.  The first half of June found me in the hospital, then 2 weeks of serious health issues.  The second half has been one tragedy for close friends after another, a car dying on us, and SERIOUS BLOG BURNOUT.

I was starting to think I should just quit.  And then, I realized what I needed.  I needed some craft therapy.  I needed to make something NON-design team related and JUST for me.  Or rather, for my amazing and long-suffering husband.  He's been my rock through all of this.  Because, you know what?!  I think I LIKE crafting and blogging.  And I think that I need to do more of it FOR ME/those I love, not just for teams!  Thus...this card was born...

This little stamp set has sat in my stash for quite some time.  It was sent to me by a craft friend months ago.  It needed to be used!  Just like my "just because I want to stamp" skills.  I think I like these kiddos...

I think I also kinda like the way my coloring turned out.  I used Spectrum Noir markers, and I made sure to be EXTRA CAREFUL.  It took me over an hour to color these kids.  I didn't care.  It was SO therapeutic to not be on a deadline.

Well, there you have it, friends.  It was really hard to write this post and get real, but it was also part of the therapeutic process.  I hope you enjoy this cute card and like it as much as I do--and as much as I hope my husband does!  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

I'm entering this card into these fabulous challenges~

That's all for now, friends.  Be assured, my monthly onslaught of posts for design teams WILL happen in the VERY near future.  I AM excited for all the creations I have coming up, but I am so glad I got to share this "just because" card with you today!  THANK YOU so much for all your kind words and support--YOU are all amazing!  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping to you all! :)

Paper Sweeties March Release Rewind!

Well, Sweeties pals, I hope you've enjoyed this month's release inspiration!  I know that I had a BLAST creating with these amazing new products!  Don't forget to go and grab them all from the Paper Sweeties store TODAY!

I decided to save my favorite card for last. :)  I created a fun little springtime scene for your viewing pleasure...come and take a gander!

I started by paper piecing Abigail with the out fit from the new I Pick You stamp set.  She's colored with Spectrum Noir markers and had a rhinestone and liquid pearl accent added.  I think these little gals are all such dolls, don't you?  The Abigail Sweet Cut made her very easy to create and add to the card. :)

Next, I turned to making a springtime scene.  I added some flowers, the frog, and the basket from the new I Pick You set.  I gave the frog some googly eyes!  Some sequins in Bubblegum, Cookie Dough, and Robin Egg finished the grassy part of the scene.  They're held in place better with liquid pearl centers.

Lastly, I added some clouds from the Showering You With Love stamp set.  They were stamped onto some patterned paper to add more texture to the scene.  I stamped one with a sentiment from the I Pick You set and the heart in the sentiment was highlighted with some Sakura glitter gel pen.

I know!  TOO CUTE, right?!  I just adore how this turned out and I think I know the perfect little gals who will be receiving this sometime SOON. :)  What do you think?  I hope you share in a comment below!

That's all for me this month!  I hope you come back NEXT MONTH when I share MORE release creations using more NEW release products from Paper Sweeties!  Don't forget to check out all the other beautiful DT creations today, though...

Here's that list~

Great Impressions: Ducky Easter

Hi, friends!  It's time for me to share another creation using fabulous stamps from the Great Impressions online store!  Today I have a card using some of our newest designs. I hope you like it!  Take a gander...PUN INTENDED THIS WEEK!

I am IN LOVE with this darling new image, H263 Springtime Louie!  I stamped him onto white card and colored him with Spectrum Noir markers.  He was layered onto some black card and I decided to punch the corners of the panels on this card for extra interest.

I flanked Louie with some paper flowers.  The turquoise ribbon is behind the panel to add more color.  The sentiment added is part of C317 Wishing Somebunny.  I thought the font was perfect to go with this darling image!

All of these elements were added to the card base.  I used some orange polka dot paper and a doily so that the end feel would be super cute and girly.  I think this card is destined for some special gals this Easter! What do you think?  I would love to hear in the comments below!

I'd like to enter this little guy into these fabulous challenges~

That's all for me today!  I'll be back next Monday with more Easter goodness using stamps from the Great Impressions store.  I hope you join in our current challenge, and, if you use Great Impressions stamps, link them up in our Customer Gallery, too!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

Paper Sweeties March Inspiration Challenge #29 - 'Waiting For Spring'

Hello there, SWEET blogging friends!  It's time for another challenge at Paper Sweeties and we have the most gorgeous theme and color/photo inspiration for you this time around!  Take a gander...

Ah, spring!!!  Who's with me?!  I decided to create a card loosely based on the colors and very based on the spring/flower theme.  Come and see...

I started by creating a focal panel.  This fun watering can is from the Showering You With Love stamp set, as are the clouds.  The flower, stem, and leaf are from the Make Today Beautiful set.  I colored the flower and can in using Sakura glitter gel pens.  The clouds are filled with Stickles--the shine is AMAZING on this card!  I used patterned paper for the sky and grass and added some sequins in Cookie Dough, Bubblegum, and Robin Egg. Liquid pearls help to hold the sequins in place.

I stamped the sentiment onto the patterned paper on the card base.  This one is from the Make Today Beautiful stamp set.  I love this fun font!

I totally adore this super fun card!  I hope you like it, too!  If you do, I'd love for you to leave me a comment and let me know! :)

That's all for me today, friends!  I hope you come and join in this fun challenge!  Also, leave some love with the other amazing gals on this DT--they've all got gorgeous inspiration to share, too!

Here's the list~

You Quack Me Up!

Hi, friends, and happy Thursday! :) I'm here to share a card I made that I hope you think is as cute as I do!  In fact, it's for the Cute Card Thursday challenge--Stampin' Mad!  They want to see some sort of stamped image on your creation. :)  Take a gander... (no pun intended, YET!)

Since Great Impressions is sponsoring this challenge, I thought it was only fitting that I showcased some of the stamps that one lucky participant could win!  I started this card by stamping the image, E856 Hello Louie, onto some cardstock and then I colored him in with Spectrum Noir markers.  Isn't he the most darling duck ever?!

I decided to go with a punny sentiment, so I chose B216 Quack Me Up, and I stamped it and punched it out.  I layered it with some gray card and added it to the image panel.  Some red gingham ribbon was a divider between the image and sentiment.

I then decided to add some punched patterned paper banners to the top left hand corner of the image panel for just a little bit more interest.  A few enamel dots were added to splash a bit more red onto the card.

I then layered the main focal panel onto the card base.  This base had been prepped with some gray card, fun spotted patterned paper, and a doily.  The perfect backdrop for this little guy!

In addition to linking up with Cute Card Thursday, I'm also entering this into the Cards & More "Animals" challenge and the 4 Crafty Chicks "Anything Goes" challenge!  I hope you'll come and play along with all these fun challenges!

That's all for me today!  I hope you find some time to craft today!  If you do, please join the fun with us at Cute Card Thursday!  If you use Great Impressions images, feel free to link them up in our Customer Gallery and for our current challenge if your card is LOVE themed!  HUGS and happy stamping to you all!
