Hello, friends!  Welcome to the August 2017 Release for the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop!  We have 5 fabulous  new sets to share this month and they cover MANY occasions!  I just know you will LOVE all the creations that my team and I have to share, as well!  Today's set is called...

Pet Puns

And here is my card~

This fun image/sentiment pairing is from this fabulous *NEW* Pet Puns set! I printed the image out and then did some water coloring on the image. 

I added some metal embellishments and faux stitching for added shine and texture. The focal panel was matted with paper from the Twinkle Twinkle Little Stripes digital paper pack before adding it to the kraft card base. I think this turned out to be so fun! What do you think? Paper Sweeties July 2017 New Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi, friends! It's time for another release at Paper Sweeties, and we have some super sweet products to share with you this month! Today I have a CAS one layer card to share. Take a peek...

I started by heat embossing the wreath image from the *NEW* Kindness Matters stamp set in gold. I then water colored the image with bold summery colors and added some gel pen to the centers of the flowers. The sentiments, also from the *NEW* Kindness Matters stamp set, was stamped into the middle of the wreath last. The *NEW* Kindness Matters stamp set also has matching Kindness Matters Sweet Cuts dies, too! SCORE!

Finishing touches include some fun polka dot ribbon and corner rounding at the bottom of the card. I think this is super sweet, and I hope you love it! Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! :)

MHKDesigns: Purple Roses

Hi, friends! I'm so sorry to be incredibly quiet this month, but this last semester of student teaching has been very busy and stressful for me! Luckily, I was able to create a card using this month's FREEBIE panel that's available today on the MHKDesigns blog!  Take a peek at my card...

I decided to keep things CAS this month. I water colored the roses purple and added some glitter and shiny gel pens for added texture. The shine from the roses compliments the shine from the rhinestones that were added at the end of the creating process.

Some ribbon and faux stitching helps to complete this creation. I love the clean feel and pretty colors of this card--what do you think?!  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Lovely Ladies

And here is my card~

I watercolored this gorgeous gal, then added some gold accents with a Wink of Stella pen.  Isn't she simply stunning?!  I love the look of these vintage beauties!

The sentiment is embellished with liquid pearls, and some sequins, faux stitching, and cheesecloth add more texture to the card base.  The papers come from the Trick or Treat pack and the French Country pack.

I was very happy with how this card turned out, and I hope you think it's great, too!  I would love for you to leave your thoughts below!  I appreciate all the feedback you leave me! :)

House of Cards: Add a Building and/or Color Inspiration

Happy New Year, friends!  It's time to start again at House of Cards, and this month we are asking you to add a building to your card or be inspired by our color scheme...

I decided I was inspired by both!  I did some fun sponging, water coloring, and layering of die cuts to create a winter scene.  Take a peek at my card...

I used some fun polka dot paper to create my "sky", then added a few snowflake sequins.  The mountains were sponged with dark brown ink to give a little bit of depth, and the buildings and trees were water colored.  I added some ribbon as an anchor--I LOVE that gingham!

I added a scallop border and some rhinestones below the scene to add texture and shine.  The sentiment I chose could work for Christmas or just a generic winter card!  

This card totally turned out differently than I originally planned, but I LOVE it!  I hope you think it's cute, too!  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)
