Great Impressions: Triangle Tri-Fold Card

Hello, friends!  Happy Monday!  I'm back again with another card that uses some fabulous stamps from the Great Impressions store!  This week the DT gals and I are each sharing a fancy fold card!  I chose to make a Triangle Tri-Fold card.  Take a quick peek...

This card really isn't all that hard to make.  All you need is a 3.5" x 10" piece of cardstock and a scoring blade or scoring board to create the base.  Just score the cardstock at 3.5" and 7" lengthwise then score the end panels into triangles through the centers.  Make sure your scores for the triangles go the same way.

For my card, I started with the inside.  I cut some cardstock and patterned papers for my inside panels, then heat embossed the sentiment, F189 Nicest Perks, in red glittery embossing powder and added it.  I embossed the sides of the sentiment panel, too.

With the inside done, I turned to the outside. I added more matted patterned paper and then a ribbon across the whole thing.  Make sure you only adhere it to part of the outside or else you've glued your card shut! :)  I decided to tie the ribbon into a bow to make it cuter. ;)

Next, I created an image panel using G514 Birdcage With Flowers.  I heat embossed this image with the same red glittery embossing powder and then accented it with glitter gel pens.  A few fake flowers finished the front up!

That was all it took!  I hope you like this card!  I know that I do!  I think that this would be the perfect little card to give to a friend who needs a small pick me up, and it could even hold a gift card to their favorite beverage shop!  What do you think?  Please leave me a comment to let me know!

Paper Sweeties February Release Rewind!

Welcome back, Sweeties pals!!!  Welcome to the last day for the February release at Paper Sweeties!  I'm here with another card showcasing these new products along with some older ones--they are ALL available TODAY to purchase!!!  Come and look at my card for today...

I started by stamping different flowers and leaves from the new Pretty Posies stamp set onto my card base to create my own patterned paper.  I am in LOVE with this fun set--it is so versatile!  Some Cookie Dough sequins were added to the centers of the blue daisies.  You can see the video of how I did this HERE.

I then stamped the banner and sentiment using the Hello Friend stamp set and cut it out using the Be Happy Sweet Cuts.  More Cookie Dough sequins were added to the sides of the banner to help the design flow.

The last steps were to add some black cardstock, put my Happy Hello banner sentiment on the bottom with dimensional foam, and add some denim ribbon as a divider/anchor between the two panels.  I think is SO cute!  I adore it so much--and imagine the color possibilities!  What are your thoughts?  I'd love to read them in the comments below! :)

Paper Sweeties February Release Party!

Welcome back, Sweeties pals!!!  Welcome to the 3rd day for the current release at Paper Sweeties!  I'm here with another card showcasing these new products--they are available TODAY to purchase!!!  Come and look at my creation for today...

I just LOVE all these fun flowers, stems, and leaves in the new Pretty Posies set!  I started this card by stamping the stem and leaves and coloring them with Spectrum Noir markers.  I then stamped the tulip image from the Pretty Posies stamp set and paper pieced it with two different patterned papers.  I added glitter to the yellow portion, which was popped up with some dimensional foam. I added a sentiment from the Garden Time stamp set and a few enamel dots to accent the image.

The bottom of the focal panel was jazzed up with some patterned paper and gingham ribbon.  The ribbon acts as a dividing anchor between the paper and the image and I think the gingham looks super cute with this fun tulip from the Pretty Posies set!

After matting this panel with some black cardstock, I added it to a kraft card base with rounded bottom corners.  I think the kraft makes the bright colors POP. :)  What do you think?  I hope you leave me a comment to let me know!

Paper Sweeties February Release Countdown!

Happy Valentine's Day, friends!  Welcome to another day for the current release at Paper Sweeties!  I'm here with another card showcasing these new products.  Come and look at my creation for today...

I started by stamping one of the vases from the new Garden Time stamp set and coloring it with Spectrum Noir markers.  I cut it out and added some glossy accents on the polka dots then laid it aside to dry.  This vase was layered onto another piece of card that was die cut using the new Garden Time Sweet Cuts.

Next, I layered some patterned paper and punched cardstock onto a card base.  I then stamped the stem image from the new Pretty Posies stamp set onto green card and die cut it out using the Pretty Posies Sweet Cuts.  I also die cut out two flowers using the Pretty Posies Sweet Cuts to layer and add to the top of the stem.  The sign is from the Garden Time stamp set and was stamped and die cut using the Garden Time Sweet Cuts.  A small bow of Grape Baker's Twine finished off the little sign.

The vase was dry at this point, so it was added to card using dimensional foam.  I think this turned out super cute!  What do you think?  I would love to know!  Please leave me a comment below to let me know!

CASE-ing Christmas: Peace on Earth

Hi, all!  Welcome to another post for a new weekly challenge at CASE-ing Christmas! Take a peek at this week's CASE card...

I just LOVE the metallic feel and shine of Donna's card and also the wintry colors.  These were the main inspiration for my card, as well as the layout.  Take a gander at my CASE...

I started this card by creating the focal sentiment portion.  I used dies and stamps from Inspired By Stamping.  The sentiment is embossed in silver and some light blue rhinestones were added as accents.  I used glitter papers to mat this focal portion.

I then added this to a card base that had been prepped with a scalloped border and glitter paper strip atop some fun polka dotted patterned paper.  The scallops were accented with liquid pearls and more light blue rhinestones were added to the corners to help the design flow.

That's pretty much it!  I LOVE the wintry feel of this card and I always love the shine and texture that glitter paper brings!  What about you?  Thoughts on this card?  I'd love for you to let me know what you think in the comments below!

Paper Sweeties February Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi, all!  It's time for another release at Paper Sweeties and I just KNOW you will love the new products that Debbie has for us this month!  OH my gosh, SO cute!!!  Come and take a peek at my creation for today showcasing these new products...

This card was super fun to put together!  I started by creating a border along the bottom of the card using patterned paper and a vase die cut from the new Garden Time Sweet Cuts.  I then die cut some stems and leaves using the new Pretty Posies Sweet Cuts.  I glued these onto the card base over the die cut border.

I then stamped three flowers using an image from the new Pretty Posies stamp set onto some patterned paper and then die cut them using the new Pretty Posies Sweet Cuts.  I layered them onto the card using dimensional foam.  A few yellow enamel dots highlight these fun elements.

The last step was to add a sentiment.  This one is from the new Garden Time stamp set.  I stamped it just about the die cut border.  This set comes with a bunch of these fun sentiments!

This card definitely turned out a bit better than I thought, and I am just in love with these products!  What do you think?  I'd love for you to leave me a comment and let me know! :)
