Pinks & Browns

Well, I actually did it.  I made an entry for the Simply Stampin' challenge!  It was totally fun--and I got to use a stamp set that I haven't used in FOREVER!

Here's my card~

Details~

For these fabulous challenges~

I started by choosing my patterned paper and stamp set.  I had an idea of what I wanted to do--I wanted to make some dimensional flowers.  So I did. :)  I also used some pearls and glitter glue to accent the centers of all my flowers.  I like the way it turned out--I hope that you do, too!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you come and play along with these fabulous challenges!  Happy stamping! :)

A little Velveteen Stamping

You still have a few days to play along with the Technique Tuesday: Velveteen Stamping challenge!  Remember that there will be digi prizes for the winners!  Since there's still a few days left, I decided to show you a CAS one layer card featuring this technique.  I hope you come and play along with me!

Here's the card~

For these challenges~

I started by stamping my flourish background with whisper white ink onto a white card.  I then stamped all my images and added my favorite embellishment--sticky back gems!  For the 3, 2, 1 challenge, I used 3 stamp sets, 2 types of sticky back gems, and 1 layer of cardstock! :)  I hope you like it!  And I hope you come and play along with these fabulous challenges--plus, don't forget I have blog candy up for grabs!  Happy stamping! :)

A little CAS CASEing...

Hello!!! Wow. I feel like it's been a while since I last posted, but it's only been 2 days--crazy! ;) I have a CAS style card that I've CASEd from Bonnie, who in turn CASEd it from Paper Crafts magazine. ;) Isn't crafting and sharing fabulous?!

Okay, so now that you know where I got the layout idea from, let me tell you about the fabulous challenges that I'll be entering this into--as they're the other inspiration for the card! Over at Colour Q, the colors this time are Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Lucky Limeade, and white. Over at Stampin' Royalty, they've challenged us to create a card with NO EMBELLISHMENTS. BE STILL MY HEART. This was a hugely challenging challenge for me--I love my rhinestones! ;) But, I did it! Paper and ink only, friends! The final inspiration was the Alter it With a Mosaic Challenge over at Try It On Tuesday. This is a very simple take on a mosaic, and I'll try to get something else in that is a little more challenging. :)

Also, I received my first commission to create cards for a co-worker of mine. She requested 5 sympathy cards. So, that's what you'll be seeing for a bit to come. :) I used sentiments on most of them that could be for sympathy or just for thinking of you in case she changes her mind, but this isn't one of them. Definitely a sympathy card.

Here's the card~

So, what do you think? I like the way it turned out--the blocks of color look really good contrasted against the whole lot of white!

I may create something else with these colors...probably with some bling. ;) Thanks to the ladies of these two fabulous challenges, and thanks to Bonnie for her inspirational cards! I hope you've been inspired to create something today! Happy stamping! :)
