Beautiful in Blue...and Gray

Welcome to my little spot here in blogland! I am ever so glad to see you--old and new friends alike! Today I have a card that I have spent a considerable amount of time on. I bought elements TODAY and YESTERDAY specifically for the challenges I'm entering. I've put a lot of thought into this card. It's been painful, as I'm usually a fly by the seat of my pants stamper! BUT, I wanted a specific look--shabby chic. And I think I got what I was looking for. We'll see what you think...

What do you think? Shabby chic, or miserably failed? I think it's pretty, no matter what! I will have to figure out what to do with it...it's too detailed to mail. This may end up being displayed in my home for a while before I gift it! ;)

The fantastic challenges I'll be entering this card into are:

Fashionable Stamping (monochromatic plus one color--I've used blue plus gray--if the cream counts as another color instead of a neutral, I apologize and please delete my entry)

Pinkalicious...AGAIN!

Well, it seems like pink is the color of choice lately! ;) I have a VERY pink card for you--and, of course, it's a Valentine!!! I got to use some new papers to make this, and some stamps I haven't used in a while or EVER, and so I'm really excited about it!!! :)

I was so glad to get the opportunity to use my SU! Pretties Kit--it's been sitting on the shelf getting dusty just DREAMING of this day! I used a hat pin and beads from the kit with a piece of soft white ribbon at the top to accent my sentiment. The sentiment is another stamp from the Tagtastic Hostess set from Stampin' Up! I really like that this sentiment is a bunch of little dots--it looks so cool! I thought that since the sentiment was made up of dots, that I should use dots as my theme--so I went a little polka dot crazy! :) It was fun, though, and I think the card turned out nicely.
