TRCC #18: Vivaciously Violet

Hi, all! Happy MAY! Have you been surviving the quarantine/shut down/whatever your area is calling it? I hope you are all well and staying safe! This month, we decided to use a cool toned color for our inspiration at The Rainbow Card Challenge, and I hope you love it! This month's challenge is called Vivaciously Violet! Take a peek at our fun inspiration for this month...

SO much inspiration there, don't you agree? I LOVE it! I was very inspired the different patterns and textures to use up some washi tape! Here's what I came up with...

I created this card with a bunch of washi's from my stash, my favorite butterfly punches from Stampin' Up!, a sentiment from Inlovearts, and some liquid pearls and glittery paper.

I totally love how this card turned out! I got to use some of my washi stash, and I love the way the patterns go together! What do you think? I would love to hear your opinion about it in the comments below!

If you're looking for even more inspiration, you should take a peek at what the other amazingly talented gals on the design team have created, too!

TRCC #16: Especially Emerald

Hi, all! Happy March! I am very much looking forward to SPRING! How about you??? We decided to use a spring color for our inspiration thi month at The Rainbow Card Challenge. This month's challenge is called Especially Emerald! I went for all shades of green with friendship being my theme. Take a peek at our fun inspiration for this month...

SO much inspiration there, don't you agree? I LOVE it! I was very inspired by the striped tights in the challenge photo. Here's what I came up with...

I used patterned paper and cardstock from The Stamps of Life, washi from Doodlebug Design and my stash, a die cut from Simon Says Stamp, and a smattering of sequins from a garage sale of yesteryear. I love the way these patterns work together!

I totally love how this card turned out! I got to use my washi tape stash and other items that needed to be used. Yep, I buy things and sometimes take forever to use them! Anyone else?! What do you think? I would love to hear your opinion about it in the comments below!

TRCC #13: Wonderfully White

Hi, all! Happy New Year 2020! I cannot believe it's been an entire year since I started The Rainbow Card Challenge! It has been such a fun ride, and I am so grateful for all of your support! This month's challenge is called Wonderfully White! Take a peek at our fun inspiration...

Isn't that so wintry and soft? I adore it! I chose to use some of my favorite images/elements for this card. I LOVE butterflies, and think they are perfect for a New Year's card--they do represent beginning over, after all! Here's what I came up with...

I chose to use a patterned paper from my stash for my base. I used more white paper and some shimmering white pearl paper as the base of the focal point. The butterfly punches are from EK Success, the white glitter accents and doily are from Doodlebug Design, and the ribbon is from The Stamps of Life. The sentiment is from an Avery Elle set called Magnolias.

I totally love how this card turned out! The layering with a shabby chic feel is one of my favorite styles! I would love to hear your opinion about it in the comments below!

If you're looking for even more inspiration, you should take a peek at what the other amazingly talented gals on the design team have created, too!

TRCC #10: Brazenly Black

Hi, friends! Happy October! I think I'm finally getting into a routine at work again, and loving every moment! I am so grateful that I still am able to craft and share what I make each month for The Rainbow Card ChallengeThis month's challenge is all about BLACK! Take a peek...

I TOTALLY went Halloween this month! I love the autumn/fall season, and Halloween is so much fun as a teacher! I grabbed some stamps from Great Impressions to create my card. Here is the completed creation...

I heat embossed the sentiment and simply stamped the mummy with black ink on white paper and cut him out. I used stitched circle dies from The Stamps of Life to create my circle motif, then added paper and sequins from my stash, along with a few rhinestones from Doodlebug Designs.

I am so pleased with this card! It came out better than what I had in my mind, which is always a plus! What do YOU think? I would LOVE to hear your opinion in the comments below!

TRCC #5: Gorgeous Green

Hello, friends, and happy May! I hope you're looking forward to a new month--I know I am! Thank you so much to everyone who played along last month at The Rainbow Card Challenge, and here is this month's prompt...

Now, we really just want to see creations with an abundance of green. You don't have to necessarily go with the "gorgeous" theme or use the photos as your guide. Mostly monochrome, if you understand my meaning. For all the details about the "rules" (there are very few), you can see the challenge post! This post is about the card I made, so take a peek...

I wanted to keep this CAS  because I have it earmarked to mail to someone. ;) I simply tore some paper from a My Mind's Eye paper pad, added a Hero Arts sentiment that was punched and layered, then added a few hearts and rhinestones. Liquid pearls were added for a bit more texture and shine around the sentiment. All punches used are from Stampin' Up!.

I think this card turned out wonderfully, and I hope you like it, too! I would LOVE for you to let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

TRCC: Challenge #4: Perfectly Pink

Hello, friends, and happy April! I hope you're looking forward to a new month--I know I am! Thank you so much to everyone who played along last month at The Rainbow Card Challenge, and here is this month's prompt...

Now, we really just want to see creations with an abundance of pink. You don't have to necessarily go with the "perfectly girly" theme or use the photos as your guide. Mostly monochrome, if you understand my meaning. For all the details about the "rules" (there are very few), you can see the challenge post! This post is about the card I made, so take a peek...

I decided to continue my "stash rummage" for this creation. I found a Martha Stewart floral stamp set that hadn't seen the light of day for many a moon, some pink inks from Stampin' Up! that needed to be used so they knew they were loved, and a sentiment stamp from a rarely used (tragic!) Paper Smooches set. I am loving finding old treasures! I kept the accents of this feminine creation soft and pearly to keep with the polished feel, with just a bit of sparkle on the sentiment thanks to a glitter gel pen from Sakura.

I think this card turned out beautifully, and I hope you like it, too! I would LOVE for you to let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

TRCC: Challenge #3: Yummy Yellow

Hello, friends, and welcome to March! Is everyone ready for a change in seasons? I can't wait! Thank you so much to everyone who played along last month at The Rainbow Card Challenge, and here is this month's prompt...

Now, we really just want to see creations with an abundance of yellow. You don't have to necessarily go with the "yummy" theme or use the photos as your guide. Mostly monochrome, if you understand my meaning. For all the details about the "rules" (there are very few), you can see the challenge post! This post is about the card I made, so take a peek...

I pulled out a Fiskars stamp set that I bought years ago to create this fresh and fruity card! I added some patterned paper from The Stamps of Life, ribbon from Stampin' Up!, and layered the focal image with various pieces, including a doily from Doodlebug. I LOVE all the fun and sunny yellows with fresh white polka dots!

You KNOW how I love me a good pun! This is why I kept this set--the amazing puns! My hubby said he really liked this card, so I actually used it as his Valentine last month. ;)

I think this card turned out so fresh and funky, and I hope you like it, too! I would LOVE for you to let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Now, we really just want to see creations with an abundance of orange. You don't have to necessarily go with the "opulence" theme or use the photos as your guide. Mostly monochrome, if you understand my meaning. For all the details about the "rules" (there are very few), you can see the challenge post! This post is about the card I made, so take a peek...

I pulled out a Fiskars stamp set that I bought years ago to create this fresh and fruity card! I added some washi tape to anchor the images, layered my orange papers, and added shine and texture with some Stickles.  A trio of glittery enamel dots from Doodlebug accent the sentiment.
