Summer Dandelions

Hello, friends! I am back to share a card I created to try and force my mojo to return. I’ll let you decide on the results!

I decided to use dies and stamps that had never been used as my inspiration. I had a lot of fun deciding on how to create depth and texture with the dies, and the use of shimmery cardstock was meant to mimic dewy summer mornings.

Overall, this experience actually did really help me get some crafty mojo back, and I do love the way this turned out! I’m sharing it with the fabulous challenges linked below.

Cut It Up: Feeling Blue (I hope I’ve used enough blue!)

Ellibelle’s Corner: Something Blooming Lovely

Addicted to Stamps & More: Dies/Stencils

Path of Positivity: Uplifiting

Stamps & Fun = Creativity: Choose a Season (summer)

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you take some time to create soon and, if you can, enter some or all of these amazing challenges! Until next time, HUGS and happy crafting, friends!

Christmas 24: Blue & Gold

Hello, friends! I am SO excited to be sharing another card created for  Christmas 24If you follow along, you will have 24 cards made before the Christmas holiday each year! Challenges are biweekly on the 1st and 15th of the month, and this time's challenge is BLUE & GOLD

Take a peek at my creation...

I actually went more of a turquoise blue for my card than true blue. I saw this fun snowy patterned paper that I had purchased YEARS ago (probably about 10 or more!), and I just HAD to use it. I also used some glitter paper from my stash, cardstock and letter dies from The Stamps of Life, a glitter enamel dot from Doodlebug Designs, and punches from Stampin' Up!

I think this turned SO fun! What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends! Please come join us at Christmas 24, and don't forget to leave some love with the other members of this fabulous team! Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping!

Christmas 24: Add Sparkle

Hello, friends! I am SO excited to be sharing another card created for  Christmas 24! If you follow along, you will have 24 cards made before the Christmas holiday each year! Challenges are biweekly on the 1st and 15th of the month, and this time's challenge is ADD SPARKLE!

Take a peek at my creation...

I used a images from Great Impressions (no longer in business) and stamped them onto specialty pearlized cardstock using ink from The Stamps of Life. The branch image is blinged up with rhinestones, pearls, glitter Stickles, and liquid pearls. The glitter and pearl papers are from Michaels, and the ribbon and sparkles are from my stash.

I adore how all these different gems and mediums look on the tree branch! SO festive! What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

TRCC #13: Wonderfully White

Hi, all! Happy New Year 2020! I cannot believe it's been an entire year since I started The Rainbow Card Challenge! It has been such a fun ride, and I am so grateful for all of your support! This month's challenge is called Wonderfully White! Take a peek at our fun inspiration...

Isn't that so wintry and soft? I adore it! I chose to use some of my favorite images/elements for this card. I LOVE butterflies, and think they are perfect for a New Year's card--they do represent beginning over, after all! Here's what I came up with...

I chose to use a patterned paper from my stash for my base. I used more white paper and some shimmering white pearl paper as the base of the focal point. The butterfly punches are from EK Success, the white glitter accents and doily are from Doodlebug Design, and the ribbon is from The Stamps of Life. The sentiment is from an Avery Elle set called Magnolias.

I totally love how this card turned out! The layering with a shabby chic feel is one of my favorite styles! I would love to hear your opinion about it in the comments below!

If you're looking for even more inspiration, you should take a peek at what the other amazingly talented gals on the design team have created, too!

TRCC #11: Magically Metallic

Hello, my friends! Happy November! I am getting so excited for the holiday season, and I hope you are experiencing joy and gratitude each day, as well! I am so grateful that I still am able to craft and share what I make each month for The Rainbow Card ChallengeThis month's challenge is all about the magic of METALLIC! Take a peek...

I definitely wanted to go Christmas/holiday with this challenge. I have been sorting through things at home (thank you, Marie Kondo!), and I came across my poinsettia dies from Spellbinders. That had never been opened or used. WHAT?! Yep, had them for years! So, it was time for them to take center stage. Here is my completed card...

I used gold glitter paper, gold/silver lattice glitter paper, gold metallic paper, and pearlized paper to continue the shine and splendor of this card. I wanted to add a sentiment, so I opted to use one from a set (maker unknown) that also had rarely been used, and heat embossed it! I then punched it out with a punch from Stampin' Up!.A few gold embellishments from Close to My Heart finished this off.

So, do you think that I was able to create an elegant, yet CAS creation? I think I did--and I am looking forward to giving this away! I would love to hear your thoughts, as well! Please do leave me some feedback in the comments below!

Please come and join us this month at The Rainbow Card Challenge! I LOVE seeing what everyone creates! If you're looking for even more inspiration, you should take a peek at what the other amazingly talented gals on the design team have created, too!

MHKDesigns: February Challenge

Happy February, friends!  It's time for another monthly challenge to begin at MHKDesigns, and we have a fun photo inspiration for you this month!  It can be either masculine or feminine. Take a peek!

If you have something else in mind that you'd like to share using products from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop, that's cool, too!  Our challenges are always anything goes if you use our products!  I decided to go the AG route this month and share another sneak peek of our *NEW* Rosy Elements stamp set...well, at lest one of the fabulous sentiments!  Check out my card...

In addition to the sentiment from the *NEW* Rosy Elements set, this card uses the rose image from the Simple Rose set--one of my all time favorites!  I printed a border, colored them all in with Spectrum Noir markers, and added some glitter to the fussy cut blooms.  The die cut heart uses paper from the Stenciled Roses paper pack.

A smattering of sequins finished this card off.  I really adore the way it turned out and I hope you like it, as well!  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you hop over to join in our monthly challenge at MHKDesigns!  There are prizes for each one, and you can use any products you'd like! :) Don't forget to leave some love with the other gals on this wonderful DT, too!

MHKDesigns: January 2017 Photo Inspiration Challenge

Hello, and Happy New Year to all of you!  I am SUPER excited to be back with another year of creations for MHKDesigns, and even more excited to be moving our monthly challenge to start on the 1st of the month!  Hop on over to the blog to meet the *NEW* designers for this year and link up with our challenge!  Speaking of the challenge...

Here's the inspiration~

Now, if you have items from the MHKDesigns Etsy shop, it is ALWAYS anything goes to link up.  If you haven't had a chance to grab something from the shop, just follow the inspiration to play along!  Have a peek at my take on this photo...

I used the Get Well Flowers stamp set for my image.  I printed it out on vellum, then colored it with Spectrum Noirs.  I added another vellum piece over the top of the image with the sentiment, from the Birds & Branches stamp set.  The pink paper border is from the Get Well Flowers paper pack, and the green houndstooth is from the Trick or Treat paper pack.  Isn't it fun to have versatile papers?!

My finishing touches include some faux stitching, a doily, seam binding, a button, and twine.  This card came together really easily, and I think it's so pretty!  I hope you agree with me!  I would love to hear your thoughts about this in the comments below!
