Crafter's Castle + Taylormadecards4u = Altered Mini Composition Notebooks

Hi, friends! I am so excited to be joining the team at Crafter's Castle for this month's Back to School YouTube Video Hop! Our wonderful sponsor is Taylormadecards4u, and we are showcasing the fabulous Passport to School digital kit!

Take a peek at some details of my creations...

A friend of mine gave me some mini composition notebooks back in May, and they TOTALLY scream Back to School to me! I altered two of them using the Passport to School digital kit as well as these Library Cards from Taylormadecards4u!

Check out my video tutorial on how to create this fun project!

Our challenge will continue to run from today (Sept. 15th) until Sept. 30th. In order to be considered for the prize from Taylormadecards4u, all you need to do is join the challenge!

Get Well Lily

Hi, friends!  I've been a bit under the weather, and so I'm sharing a "Get Well Soon" card to say thank you to all of those who have asked about me!  It's so nice to know that this community is so supportive and kind. :)  This card uses some fun products from The Stamps of Life.  Take a peek...

The beautiful lily and lily pad were made using the stamps from the lily4me stamp set.  I stamped the lined flower image in Guava ink onto Candy cardstock, then fussy cut it.  I heat embossed the lily pad image with frosty/iridescent embossing powder on top of some Ocean cardstock, then fussy cut it out.

The sentiment is one of the *NEWEST* dies from The Stamps of Life--the Get Well Die Set!  I LOVE that it is the sentiment AND the shadow--it makes layering and crafting SUPER quick and easy!

These elements and other bits of embellishment were added to a Sizzix Playful Stand-Ups card base.  I LOVE the way it turned out--I think the colors are super pretty!  What do you think?  I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

I'd like to enter my card into these fabulous challenges~

That's all for me today, friends!  Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you take some time to join in these fun and fabulous challenges. :)  Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends!

Lightbulb Banner

Hi, all!  Is it just me, or is October super busy every year?!  I have been going out of my MIND trying to keep things together!  But, anyway...let's not get into that. ;)  I've got a fun card for you today using products from The Stamps of Life with a bright color scheme and WOOD pieces!  Take a peek...

I LOVE the new sentiments in the light4Jesus set, so I chose this to take up most of my card.  I added some Guava flower washi tape and a few enamel dots to highlight it.

On the top, I decorated some Wood Banner Pieces with stamped images from the lightbulb2stamp and patterns4lightbulb sets.  I added more washi tape behind them and tied them to the card with some twine.

I really love the way this card turned out!  The colors are so bold and fun!  I adore the different patterns together, too!  I hope you like it as much as I do--I would LOVE for you to leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

Christmas Card + Ornament in One!

Hi, friends!  I'm back with another Christmas card made with products from The Stamps of Life, and this one has a fun TWIST to go along with it!  Not only is it a card, but it's also a handmade gift--and ornament--that fits into the card and can be taken out be the recipient!  Take a peek...

I used the *NEW* stockings4Christmas, patterns4stockings, and Stocking Dies to create this card.  I also used a circle die from the Hello My Friend Dies and some vellum from my stash--I have SO much because I purchased a bunch over a year ago and it just stays in my drawer.  It needed to come out and be used! ;)

To help hold the velum on as an "envelope" for the ornament, I added two chevron buttons to hold it place.  I decorated inside the circle die, too, so that when the ornament is taken out, the card is still cute enough to display!

The sentiment is from the stockings4Christmas set.  I LOVE the font and it was perfect as a banner across the bottom of the card.  To balance the sentiment out, I added a banner of wood banner pieces, inked and heat embossed with Powdered Sugar Ink, to the top.

I am REALLY happy about how this card turned out!  I hope you like it, too!  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

(That vellum--it needed to be used!  Plus cardstocks, as well.)

(See above.)

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you take some time today to join in the fun with these fabulous challenges!  I'll be back again later with more paper crafts.  Until then, HUGS and Merry stamping! :)
